Consistently bad

Consistently bad. Abysmal. You can rely on them to give a poor service

Once again I try to move my own money to be blocked by Barclays. IT IS MY MONEY and I will manage it as I see fit. If you are concerned CALL ME

Can I call them? NO I can not. They only answer the phone Mon-Fi 9-5.

POSTSCRIPT - Barclays, or someone claiming to be Barclays called me next day and begins phishing for my data - How do I know it is Barclays? "We'll send it to your APP" - I don't have an app - so, they tell me to call the number on the back of my card -

Guess what? They're not open... days go by and you can not access your own money

Platform Decay has become the norm in this country. EVERY company I deal with is offering worse and worse service

I can find nothing at all to recommend this company.

I do not see how I can carry on a commercial relationship with this Bank - I'm leaving as soon as possible.

Friday I transfer my money, MONDAY I call them - blocks me. I go into local branch - they can't resolve.. I go home & call - they have cancelled my cash transfer - without informing me

I'm now closing the account - I can't suffer this nonsense

Treated my parcels with care

Treated my parcels with care. I had three parcels collected, they were not well packed and would easily be damaged with normal handling - they arrived in perfect condition and had obviously been handled with great respect and care - this is genuinely appreciated.

Dreadful

Dreadful. They tell me my property has no water meter, yet the water meter and stopcock outside my property turns off my water supply.

When I complain and show them a photo of the meter they tell me it is not mine and refuse to investigate the matter - see below

"Your complaint related to whether your property was metered and the factors surrounding this. As explained previously, your property is not metered, and the meter in question is not connected to your address. Our meters are used solely to measure the water consumption of the property they are directly assigned to. Since this meter has no impact on your property or your water bill, it does not affect the complaint you have raised."

Most companies you deal with are as bad as this.

"customer services" isn't going to attract the brightest and best, but surely they can do better than this?

The customer service has deteriorated…

The customer service has deteriorated badly since they have moved the call centre overseas. It has become pot luck if you get someone who is civil -

I had to call three times before I managed to speak to someone who was not objectionable - A positive is that you're still not waiting for half an hour to speak to someone

It appears that the minimum wage in South Africa is R28.79 which is less than £1.20... you can see the incentive for employers to Offshore jobs - but offshoring isn't good for UK employment

Dreadful. Abusive call handler using the "I'm sorry you feel that way" routine

Put that phrase into a search engine - it's considered GASLIGHTING classic rude non apology apology.

Quote - "I'm Sorry You Feel That Way" and Other Gaslighting Tactics...

If you think you'tr going to verbally abuse me and retain my custom you are mistaken

I ALWAYS read the bad reviews - they're the ones that seem, well, most revealing

My understanding is the interest rates on my ISA were given the classic Martin Lewis "suck slap flog" routine. 2% interest in a market where 4.85% is easy to get

Quote - Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert.com, said: “For years savings accounts have operated a suck, slap and flog technique. They suck people in with a decent rate, slap that rate down as soon as they can, then try and flog new accounts with similar names at a higher rate. Over the years this, combined with customer inertia and misplaced loyalty, has led to millions of people with cash in old accounts paying spitworthily low rates."

This EXACTLY sums up how I feel I've been treated

They insult you, then won't accept responsibility - I'm moving my ISA - as soon as I've clicked send on this review

Lousy service and a lousy rate of interest - not much to recommend

I can wholly recommend other providers - read my other reviews

Dreadful

Dreadful. I tried days ago to transfer money out, They hold the transfer.

two days later the receiving account has not seen the funds

I try to log in online

Website says - Sorry, we can't log you into Online Banking at the moment. Please call us on......

call the number and it says the line is closed.

This is a major international bank - not a hobby shop

Time to find another bank who can provide a professional service

Usually good but when it goes awry....

Poor customer service. I bought a battery on eBay from them - supposed to arrive Monday - the carrier did not deliver and dropped it off Tuesday - When it arrives it's the wrong battery..

I try calling them - the phone rings and rings - Ebay message? "return the battery" - I don't want a return - I want an exchange as I stated in the message.

So I explain this - and get a message with the same "return form" nonsense.

I'm currently calling their "helpline" number - the phone has been ringing for eleven minutes with no answer.... I give up - life is too short

I's cheaper to throw a £30 battery in the bin than the waste of time with this company

Eventually I've had to buy another battery, take this one back to branch and they've made good with the price difference

Would I recommend GSF? Not from this experience

BUT - that said

From previous experience they're good - it goes to plan and is great - been really happy with them - but when things go wrong the customer service isn't good unless you get lucky and someone "owns" the problem and gets it resolved, which is what eventually happened here

Usually good but when it goes awry it's bad

Pretty poor service lately

Pretty poor service lately - I visit the store ten minutes before closing - they refuse to accept cash, this is not the first time I've suffered this nonsense

I'm currently trying to contact customer services, the phone lines don't answer and I've been over ten minutes on the automated service waiting.... this is far from good customer service

It appears to be a non UK online chat service. To me there appars low priority in providing decent customer service - this is disappointing as TS. has previously been a good company to deal with

No cashback

Purchased a fridge - went through a cashback site as it worked out cheaper after cashback - they turn the claim down. Wouldn't buy through them again - I'd buy elsewhere and just go for the lowest honest straightforward price

Their judgements are not based in law

Their judgements are not based in law, I've used them several times and their rulings would best be described as bizarre.

By using this "service" you are only empowering your abuser and giving them the opportunity to claim the ombudsman ruled in their favour.

If everyone stopped using this ridiculous farce it would put a stop to this racket.

service has deteriorated so badly

I have banked with the Halifax for over 40 years. Their service has deteriorated so badly I feel unable to continue to bank with them. Latest problem?
I call their helpline to ask how I may pay in a cheque - they inform me I may pay it into the branch letterbox - nearly two weeks later it does not show in my account - I spend an hour on the phone with no answers, the call drops and they do not call back - next day I am forced to visit the bank whereupon the bank clerk goes to the letter box and finds the cheque is still in the letterbox - it appears they have not not bothered to empty the letterbox in weeks - what kind of service is this?

Another waste of time -the usual…

Another waste of time -the usual "ombudsman" paid for by whichever industry they are there to cover for - don't use them and don't encourage them, use the small claims court - it's then a matter of public record and the corruption can't be so easily hidden - the public are losing faith in the institutions in this country, corporate feudalism will not be tolerated

Made wild and ridiculous accusations of…

Made wild and ridiculous accusations of shoplifting against me, and detained me in the store - fortunately I FILMED them doing this.

I wouldn't recommend setting foot inside their stores as their staff do not appear to me to be properly trained

A real pity as I have shopped there for years and appreciated the value and range of goods they sold, they used to be a great store I relied on

Pick your feet up and train your staff to behave properly

Whilst shopping in Screwfix I was subjected to ridiculous and wild accusations of shoplifting - fortunately I have irrefutable evidence as I recorded their attack with my mobile phone - I'll NEVER shop there again.

Another monopoly water company

OK... just spoken to an advisor.. he was friendly and helpful... I've previously had some poor experiences with this lot, but todays call was good....

I firmly believe that water companies should be re-nationalised due to a lack of competition

The best energy company I have dealt with.

By far the best customer service by any energy company I have used - and there have been many

You can contact them quickly - they answer the phone in a few minutes - they only work 9-5 but they get the job done

No half hour plus waits -

When they get things wrong they "own it" and the person you raise the problem will resolve it

UK call centers quickly answered.

if you want to save a little money you could perhaps try DIY dentistry? It'll be less painful than dealing with nightmare energy companies and the never ending grief they cause.

Great store.

Great store.. some really great buys to be had - either cheap,nice quality or both, you have to look past the vast aisles of crisps and sodas for the more interesting stuff, brands other supermarkets don't stock - they've become part of my regular "round the supermarkets" routine,

it's a great place to look for good buys - shopping around more has made my bill cheaper with improved quality. Been nice to step away from "the usual" supermarket

Staff are polite & helpful, the management genuinely seem to want to give you a good shopping experience, all good for me - nothing to dislike.

Don't waste your time with them

I've used them several times, it's become a standing joke to read the absurd nonsense they write - Most people here tell you they're a waste of time and I have to agree - it's another "there to be seen to be there" organisation - the whole country is utterly corrupt now - I'd advise you to avoid undertaking ANY financial services in this country - hence the popularity of bitcoin now - I'm gradually withdrawing my financial position from the UK

BG found guilty of HARASSMENT

BG claimed I owed them money but said they COULDN'T give me a bill or meter readings - they then threatened me with credit reference agencies if I didn't give them money.

I'd recommend avoiding BG AT ALL COSTS - if ofgem transfer you to them REFUSE to use them and disconnect your supply.

Truly shocking

Truly shocking. They refuse point blank to address reasonable complaints

Most companies I encounter now have turned into bullies, they know most people can't or won't take legal action against them.

The best course of action is to avoid them - Trustpilot is a great help weeding these companies out.

Halifax continue to REFUSE to even address my complaint - they try to refer you to the Ombudsman who are equally corrupt

I now pay my bills in cash - Halifax will get NOTHING from me

Draw your money out in CASH every month - they need YOU - you do not need THEM

Woke virtue signalling is no substitute for good customer service and reliable banking.

This country is in the grip of an epidemic of corruption
