Halifax credit card claimed my direct debit was stopped because of lack of funds in my bank account. I can prove I easily had enough funds, then I found out my account had a marker against it because a replacement card was either lost or stolen in the post. Of course they'll want me to pay a late payment fee and interest. I've had a Clarity card for about 20 years and never paid interest.

Our experience with this bank ended before it really began, and in hindsight, that may have been for the best. The bank's valuation appeared significantly lower than we would reasonably expect given the property's condition. It gave the impression that this assessment may have influenced the terms offered, including the interest rate.

Halifax just decided to lock my account straight after I turned 18. Then when o tried to communicate with them on it, they put me on hold for a a couple of hours, finally got back to me saying they resolved my issue and apologised. But turns out Halifax didn’t fix it, just said they did, so i messaged them via app, they put my on hold again until they came back saying that I practically have to communicate with them the next day because guess what it’s past 6 and I’m unable to call an advisor about it. For 4 hours of just that, a waste of my time and my account is still locked.

They would rather close my bank of 11 years than co operate... Halifax has to be the worst bank I've experienced now Ive open e a new one it makes you realise Halifax isn't up to the job it's a right hassle to access money ... And to get customer support is even harder no one has a clue what you are even asking them just pass you around .... How Halifax is still operating is a miracle

30 minutes spent clearing all their checks...still refused to authorise it.

The service I received was exceptional such patience and support from the staff, a special mention to a young lady there called Millie, thank you, you were amazing and reassured me as I was a bag of nerves.Lastly a thank you also to the bank manager for reimbursing my charge…

Dont waste your time with Halifax mortgage!!!! Customer service is beyond appalling. They have no clue about the reality of life along with difficulties that can arise. Even with owning over 60percent of the house so they wouldn't even lose there money they will not release funds in order to make changes to then pay the mortgage payments.

So I tried to transfer some money from one account to another account I have. Bank refuses to carry out transaction which I have done before…..reason because you live abroad….whats that all about !!! It appears Halifax Bank lost 14.750 customers in the last quarter that’s customers speaking with their feet…”These boots were made for walking”.

My mother had a small mortgage of 20K with the Halifax that just about took over my life with appointments and phone calls to sort out the terrible mess they made of everything. Avoid at all costs.
What sort of bank is this?
Their app messaging is useless as it is manned by robot. When an agent appeared after an hour, if you miss it or reply it later, you get cut off and you have to start all over again! What is the point of this?
Phonecall does not work either as it is not answered or agent cannot help as it is not within their scope.
