AVOID THIS COMPANY
I ordered a birthday present based on delivery being within the time frame I needed. It was not delivered. I chased almost 2 weeks later only to be told the order was cancelled as they don’t have the stock! Absolutely no customer service and no regrets. So now I’m left with trying to get another present almost 3 weeks after my friends birthday. AVOID

I noticed that they charged VAT but couldn't see a VAT registration number on their invoice. I wrote to them but got no reply.
Are they VAT registered or are they just getting away with an extra 20% charge?

An excellent all round service
I wanted a desk top world map and Zoro posted an example of exactly what I required. I ordered and received tracking details. Surprisingly it arrived several days earlier than initially expected but they had kept me notified of this. An excellent service, and the map is absolutely ideal for what I wished.

NO ITEM RECIEIVED!!! Ordered and paid for a batch of key…
Ordered and paid for a batch of key ring tape measures from Zoro. Courier from DHL come to deliver and to my disbelief handed me an opened/damaged plastic package with absolutely nothing inside but an invoice paper. I hand the plastic package back to courier who also very rude and loud. So be careful of using Zoro as they are not a reliable online retailer that are unable to provide goods ordered. Customer services asked for proof of non existent delivery item.

Do not buy from these condensing useless people. Absolute waste of time and money.
I needed something for the website that was £2.99 the shipping was £4.99 so I thought I’d add something else to the order to make it worth while. I got an email saying that the second item was out of stock so that was cancelled. I emailed straight away to see if an alternative option could be substituted. But o just got a Rude condensing response about how they only off free shipping on orders over £25. Completely ignoring questions. No offer to compensate. They have your money and obviously don’t need repeat customers.

Couldn't have been better.
I used to use Cromwell tools but they couldn't move the thing I wanted from their depot to the pickup point in under a week. Ordered the same thing from Zoro, got it the next day. Couldn't have been better.

First order and likely to be my last.
I ordered some high end 3M packing tape on 30 July. Supposed to be delivered on the 15th of August, which I thought was a long time, but I wasn't in that much of a hurry and the price was good.
Since then, I have been emailed SIX times to tell me delivery would be delayed by more than their previous email had said. Current estimate is for delivery on the 5th of September.
I have zero confidence that they will actually achieve that date.

Consumables, yes! Tools, no!
I have had many good experiences with Zoro, especially when it comes to washroom consumables. However, I recently purchased some Makita drill bits and they arrived with a damage case. It took me several emails and phone calls before I eventually had them collected and replaced. When the replacement came, the case was in a poorer state than the original. So, the process of returning them, providing photos and explanations, started all over again. It's been weeks now since my original order #CD-228450-209223, and I am still waiting or a collection date for the second order #CD-631821-330266.

Problems with checkout software, but Zoro apparently taking these seriously.
I have flagged problems (politely, via phone and email) with Zoro’s shopping cart, checkout and quotation facility several times over the last two years, but little ever seemed to be done to rectify matters.
Recently, however, after I had left an unfavourable review here about these software problems, Zoro reached out to me both by phone and email, and I’m pleased to say they appear to have taken the problems seriously and are working on resolving them.

I am unable to hit a no star button…
I am unable to hit a no star button because there isn’t one.
Recently purchased items from Zoro, when I unpacked I realised immediately extremely poor quality, so poor it was of no use to me.
I have spoken with Zoro customer services and they are just as poor as their product.
They have point blank refused a return/refund!
Please be warned but from somewhere else. Terrible products and service!!
