Returns a nightmare

The order process is fine and the product was very good. However the return process is a nightmare. I did order the wrong size and immediately ordered a bigger size.
I requested a return of the original item and was told that I would be contacted with instructions. After a number of days I contacted customer service and was told that I could download the return document. There were no instructions on how to return the goods on this document and no suggestion that I had been authorised to return.

There is no suggestion anywhere as to who pays for the return postage so I have now sent the goods back at my expense. So an item that cost £24.00 now has a postage cost of about £10.00. I wait in anticipation as to whether the refund will be made.

I can see that a case has been raised for a refund on the goods. If the goods are faulty or damaged we would pay the return/collection costs, if the goods are no longer required or ordered in error then it would be down to the customer to return at their cost.
As soon as the goods are received back then the refund will be processed back on the original method of payment.

Abysmal customer service

Ordered trowel, received a small piece of obscure plastic. The packaging although containing a delivery note for the trowel was very flimsy and not suitable for a trowel surely whoever.packed would have been aware that the packaging was not suitable for a trowel and a small piece of round plastic does not bear any similarities to a trowel?
Yes appreciate things can go wrong but it is how they are dealt with that is important. Responses to the issue from Zoro lacked continuity as several different people emailed from " the replacement team will let you know" to " refund had been actioned and will email you to let you know" not heard from either. The item is still supposedly available as it is listed on both ebay and Zoro's website - so why no replacement as promised originally? Buyer beware!

Just a joke.

Only gave 1 star, because minus is not available.
Absolute, waste of time. These dummies couldn't even manage to find my address, despite no one else ever having a problem; with my front door being both visible and freely accessible from the street. Then took days to reply to online enquiries, even longer to get a refund. Nearly 2 weeks from order/payment to refund.
Item bought and paid for, just never delivered. A complete waste of time.
Subsequently bought elsewhere and received within 2 days, wish never used them and will certainly never use again.
Will not be surprised when they go bust and deservedly so. Sheer incompetence.
All replies just lip service, standard 'sorry', no actual even attempt at any action to correct, compensate or make good, in any way whatsoever.
Avoid.

FAILED TO REFUND OR REPLACE !!!

I ordered several of the parts racking / drawers units and every single one arrived with damage, they failed to replace and or refund for the damage, they had NOT packaged the items just sent them out in the flimsy cardboard boxes they are placed in by the manufacturers, absolute zero protection !

Save yourself the stress — shop elsewhere.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are happy to take your money but won’t deliver the product on time. I’ve been waiting over 40 days for a printer, only to have the delivery delayed by another 2–3 weeks. In the meantime, they dropped the price of the exact same model by £40 but refused to refund the difference. This is dishonest, unprofessional, and shows complete disregard for customers. Save yourself the stress — shop elsewhere.

I can confirm that we received your request to cancel the order, and this was actioned last week.
I'd like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise that your first experience with us was not a positive one. I'm sorry that we were unable to fulfil your order as originally advised when it was placed in August.
As the order was cancelled before any goods were dispatched, no payment was taken and no invoice was raised. In line with our policy, payment is only processed once items are dispatched, so the amount remained in a pending state.
Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delays and changes to the lead time.

Deliberately obstructive

I have ordered from Zoro before, never really had to much of an issue. I placed my order friday for £290, all's good. Monday they took £180, as a pending payment, then they took £84 as a pending payment, then they took £30 as a pending payment. After holding near £600 of my money for a day or so, the funds cleared and split to the right amount but over three transactions. So if you want to place an order make sure you have twice he amount in the account for their lazy accounting.
Then the items arrived, nothing to write home about. One of the items a 20 piece hand file set, not even worth scrap money. Out of the twenty, one was semi-straight, ranging from 1-2mm out of straight to 6mm, on a 6-8" file. All of the half rounds had forging issues on the round. So I put in my "return request", You can't just send the item back oh no. To be approved you need to send pictures, which take a day or so to even be acknowledged. So after a few days my "request" was granted. DHL will collect them, they still haven't been, three days later no communications, just no show.
Zoro could have very easily rectified this, seen the photos, realised they are in the wrong selling products not fit for purpose, and issued a refund, which with a strong tail wind takes 3-5 days, and ran the return whilst the items are in transit.
I should also add this file set when i found it originally cost £70 ish, when I bought them they cost £94, now they are £125! They have a 5% success rate on the forging.

😞 DO BETTER

I received an email with £10 discount on next order. We have a trade account with Zoro but their pricing is not very competitive so we rarely order. On checking out, I had an alert to say that my account is on stop but I placed the order anyway, hoping Customer Service would quickly respond. I called and the reason that the account/order was on hold was because I had not ordered in 6 months so my credit limit was reduced. I was over MY "REVISED" credit allowance by £1.64 and did not even know of any decrease in limit. I cancelled the order and told the (nice) lady on the phone to delete the trade account. I no longer wish to purchase from this company who spam me with emails but don't inform me of account status changes.

Awful company and customer service

Awful company and customer service. Placed order on 9th September for delivery on 12th September. Shipment never arrived. Contacted customer services on 15th to be told my order will be cancelled because the price on the website was incorrect. I was never informed and only found out because I had rung, otherwise I would be still waiting around for the shipment. Now awaiting refund
Would not recommend, buy with caution

Disgraceful

Disgraceful - advertised and sold me a £600 product that was discontinued and out of stock. Confirmed delivery date, had me waiting in all day. Only after phoning repeatedly did they confirm it was discontinued and there was no alternative. Refund will take 3 days.

Awful retailers

Awful retailers. Ordered laptops, Got huge monitors. Reported immediately to zoro asking for refund and arrange a return. No reply from zoro for over a week. Filed a claim on paypal, Now zoro wakes up asking to return, fair enough mistakes can happen. It gets more interestig zoro wants me to stay in all day on a day on short notice (has to be a weekday too) of their choosing so their contracted courier can collect. Explained can't really do that I like many people actually work, please send labels I will drop them off when I can. More than a dozen emails.After a month of this suggesting return period is over. Also stating pay for your own returns which will cost almost £100 cos of the weight and size of wrong products sent. All this while holding my money (under £1000). Paypal now saying the same please return products at your own cost. Went to credit card provider they have now put the transaction on hold and the onus on zoro to deal with this. So be prepared if something goes wrong. Otherwise probably a decent company but I will never know if they are.
