Having heard about part buy part buy rent we had never looked into it before. As I had left the Army in 2022 we found a property to rent and at the time suited us but the rent was a bit on the high side. We looked at a property and was sent through an application for Your Home which we looked into and found that we could afford our own home so we filled in all the paper work which to be honest was that not difficult. After a short period of time Your Home sent the paperwork back showing us how much we could afford to buy our home. We put an offer in and was accepted but we had to wait a while for the outgoing occupants to move but was kept informed by Your Home which was great. We are now in our own home paying a fraction of what we were paying when we were renting. Thank you your home and Emma.

Excellent company !! Originally was thinking we had to buy a new build but had to rent first with the first company we went with - It was badly built so after renting for just under a year instead of buying decided to look elsewhere. A 10 year old house came up (I thought all shared ownerships were brand new) but we put down 60 grand from the sale of my old house into one with Heylo Homes. The whole team from start to finish were a pleasure to deal with, they are all good at what they do and answered any emails and queries straight away. Saw the house at the end of March and moved in on June 19th. The whole process was made easy because the team were just brilliant. The house is much better than the new build we were originally going to go for . With it being 10 years old it has character to it and not like new builds, which are all fenced the same and bland. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. To know we own a share of it is better than just renting something that will never be ours. I would highly recommend shared ownership and especially Your Home (Heylo) . Can’t thank the staff enough for the smooth transition to being a shared owner!

I had never heard of Shared Ownership until I started looking at properties as we had outgrown our house and the property’s we needed were way out of our budget (with a mortgage).
We saw a lovely property that ticked all our boxes advertised as ‘Shared Ownership’ with Heylo Housing and started making enquiries.
A call and chat with Ben Kippen was easy and no stress or pressure was put on me to go ahead. He was able to tell us how much we could go up to (with the amount of deposit we had) and it more than doubled our purchase price!
We are now the proud (shared) owners of our dream home, with a garage and driveway, big garden and extra rooms that allows our family to grow and it was such an easy process and we have the opportunity to step ladder and buy out the rest in bits over time (if we wish).
For a single mum with a child with needs, who needed more than my old property could give us for safety and accessibility - this company is a godsend.

I am incredibly grateful that the Heylo shared ownership scheme is in place, as it has enabled me to purchase a lovely home. My family are no longer 'stuck’ in a place which wasn't right for us.
My case progressor Matt Ferguson was great at communicating regularly with me and explaining things well; everything has been very professionally handled. The Heylo system seems to move quickly, and I have been impressed by clear information given and good communication. All costs were exactly as set out in the information which means I was able to budget accurately. Now the purchase has completed I've been passed to a specific portfolio team for ongoing support.
I would recommend anyone considering shared ownership (not new properties but older ones eg. mine is an Edwardian semi-detached) to find out more about Heylo.

I used Heylo Housing to provide me with finance to buy my 2nd in a ethical. This was not only great for me but I was quickly able to secure the home I wanted because of how quickly they considered my affordability. The whole process was very smooth, where Camilla Stephens kept me up to date throughout. She was very pleasant and kept it very simple. I look forward to their ongoing support in this shared scheme. If you are looking for a mortgage that does not compromise on your beliefs, then I would highly recommend Heylo Housing on their Shared ownership scheme.

I could not praise Camilla Stevenson enough , she has been great through all the house purchase process reassuring me when the things get a bit stress due to the sellers solicitor delaying things.

So we came across Your Home one day when I was day dreaming looking at houses online and thinking how I would so love to get out of our rented home and have the security of having our own home, so I rang Leaders who were advertising a property on the open market and luckily he gave me the contact details for Your Home…and honestly it was as easy as that, all we needed was the deposit as my husband in his sixties couldn’t get a mortgage ,and with the amazing help from Emma and Camilla we are now in our home we chose and we never thought could be possible . Brought my first home with Yourhome. The process was smooth and Ben was a great help guiding us through it.
Yourhome is a great option for Muslim buyers who can't make use of traditional mortgages due to interest payments. With Yourhome it's pretty much a shared ownership scheme but you can pick any home you want.
This company provides a very good service and were very professional throughout. Emma Stallworthy especially was always very helpful with answering my queries, chasing up solicitors, sorting out the necassary searches and checks, and getting the purchase over the line. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of using them.
I discovered Your Home through an Estate Agent when I was searching for a new place to live. I had recently split from my husband and needed somewhere for myself and two little boys. I was desperate not to have to rent as I was keen to give them the stability of owning somewhere, had a good sized deposit but was worried about being able to get a conventional mortgage, being on my own, with two dependents PLUS self employed... This is where Your Home came to the rescue. I now own 27% of my property and rent the rest from them, with an option for me to staircase out the rest in the future.
I have my dream home and we are super duper happy here! Such an easy process and great customer service too.
I'd already bought a place with Your Home's (Heylo) help and when I came to sell that I was able to buy my next home with their help too. The great thing about this type of shared ownership is that, apart from being able to meet the financial commitments, there are no boxes to tick, there's no vetting procedure and you can choose pretty much whatever type of property you want. You can choose what percentage to buy and there is the opportunity to "staircase" and buy a larger percentage at any point if you can afford it. There is also a bonus, based on any equity, if and when you sell which is most welcome. The selling of one property and then buying another was a little drawn out due to the slightly more complex legal process but all worked out in the end...All in all, thoroughly recommend Your Home for anyone who is unable to get a mortgage due to their age or financial position.
I returned to live in the UK after 14 years in France and had fallen way behind in the property market, so at the age of nearly seventy I was beginning to despair at what my savings could buy in the way of a new home. I came across Heylo and they effectively extended my 'buying power' using a part buy/part rent scheme. I dealt with Ben Kippen, Camilla Stephens and Matthew Ferguson at one point or another. All of them were professional and attentive and all aspects of buying using this scheme were clearly explained.
