Disappointed. When they started they were great, however over time they have changed strategies and started offering far better interest rates to new customers while existing cash ISA savers are left with uncompetitive rates.
The transfer in and out process is slow and manual making it a much more challenging task. They also have hidden in the small print that once you leave, you cant come back which seems somewhat petty.

We had a really great experience with Tembo Mortgage Advisors from start to finish. A big thank you to Chelsea and Leah, who were both fantastic throughout – always quick to respond, clear in their advice, and genuinely supportive at every stage. It makes such a difference having people on your side when dealing with banks and all the stress that can come with mortgages.

They helped keep everything moving and made the whole process feel much more manageable. We completed just a week ago and are actually writing this review from our new house, which says it all!

We’d definitely recommend Tembo to anyone looking for friendly, knowledgeable support from a team that really has your back. Thanks again Chelsea and Leah! 🏡

They always made us feel reassured and confident, which meant a lot as first-time buyers. We expected it to be stressful, but they guided us every step of the way until our mortgage was approved.

What we really appreciated was how everything felt so accessible. They didn’t just help with the mortgage, but also connected us with solicitors and insurance, which made things much easier for us. It felt like everything we needed was in one place.

Amazing company!! I have been saving for my house with Tembo but recently found myself in a tight spot with unexpected vet bills. Customer service at Tembo have been super friendly and helpful and I was able to release some of my savings. Highly recommend.

They dropped me in the middle of our house purchase.
So.. this review is completely unexpected.

Before this terrible experience, I LOVED Tembo. I have gone from a lifetime customer to them making me actually cry...

So I mortgaged my current flat with them great experience. This review is based on what happened to me today.

So Tembo went through the process with us to get a mortgage on a new house we are moving to.

It was all going well, until we got assigned a case manager where it became seemingly badly managed. And our case manager was 'unexpecidly' on leave at some point.

My solicitor emailed me to say it looked like our mortgage application was canceled. I phoned tembo and basically they didn't know what had happened. They said they would get back to me the next day but didn't.

A couple days later they called me and said that our mortgage application was cancelled by the lender, and they could no longer work with us AT all.

Literally no explanation on why it was cancelled, no extra resources to help us. And we were completely left on our own, £2k into our purchase process (solicitor fees and survey), and no pointers to other companies that could help us.

Not only that but if we decided to stay on our flat, they said they wouldn't want to help us even to remortgage here, when they did the mortgage her initially.

I have found a new broker, and they said that because of our circumstances the lender Tembo chose was not the right lender to go with. And even they had some sort of insight into why the lender might have cancelled us.

To top it all off, before this happened I created them a video review because I used to love them so much.

Overall, such a horrible experience and I genuinely believe it was possibly because of lack of communication from Tembos side, and not submitting documents they told us they wanted to submit.

They will probably reply to this saying it's their policy to drop anyone who has a canceled application. I get that, and although it sucks, create some sort of resource to help people in that situation rather than leaving them completely alone.

Thank you so much to Rob Yeo and Christianna Amos. They were class acts from the start. I secured a mortgage offer and anyone knows how life changing that is. They were very available and very amicable. I would recommend Tembo to anyone.

I had a great experience with Luke and Gemma from Tembo. They have been very helpful helping me secure a mortgage for the purchase of my home. They guided me through the process and were extremely supportive.

Usually mortgages are a very stressful situation to go through, but luckily I had Rachel and Emma to deal with it. They both were amazing from start to finish and made the experience stress free and extremely manageable. They are both absolute credits to the company and I could not recommend Tembo or Rachel and Emma strongly enough to anyone.

Excellent support from Rhys when contacted with my problems. Professional and concise in answering my queries. Tried again and was able to set up my account as I am no tech wizard to say the least at 69! As recommended first tried bank transfer and happy it showed in Pending. Will continue to full transfer with confidence once cleared. Excellent ISA rate.
