Kept informed every step of the way, from request of a survey of the job, (replacing two outside doors), to completion. Including correction of one slight fault.

Dealing with any faults
When I rang regarding my issue she was very nice and made an appointment as soon as she could. When the engineer came he was very pleasant and helpful and fixed our problem. Nothing was too much trouble

New front door
The work, customer service and after care was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. Amazing all round and I would highly recommend West Yorkshire windows to anyone. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Post Build
After the euphoria of the new build has demised. The use then begins, I am not disappointed ! The cold winter weather is upon us. When it is; frosty, cold, dark and wet , the build is warm and comfortable, so energy efficient with no heat loss, wind noise is minimal. Because, the HUP walls are thinner than brick and block walls, this gives me more floor space.
My focus is on effortless style, creating an impact ! which, is a picture of domestic warmth and serenity, accommodating the family sitting space; somewhere to gather with ease. While, the ultra frame Edwardian roof, is light and modern, it gives the house a different feel, with meaning and panache.
After four months of use and gatherings over Christmas and New Year,
I am extremely delighted!

Cannot recommend.
I ordered and paid deposit for an extension to replace a conservatory in August 2023. I was advised work would start within 6 weeks and take a month to complete. No progress made other than surveys and test digs. I had to put a hold on work which still had not commenced by Feb 2024 due to other issues which I kept Trent Valley informed of throughout. I made clear work could start Sept 2024. Company was taken over during this period by West Yorkshire Windows, not that I was informed of this. Findings from previous surveys and digs had gone missing in interim so needed to be repeated. After months chasing and chasing, the surveying team then informed me on the 5th of December 2024, they no longer felt able to do the work at all. I was advised someone would contact me the following day to confirm refund of deposit. Further chasing calls this week have not been responded to to date. All visiting professionals presented as knowledgeable and friendly and at no time gave any indication the job would be problematic in any way. Can only conclude that company are not equipped for the volume of work they have on. Sad it took so long for this to be communicated to me. Very poor communication throughout. Can not therefore recommend.
Further to reply from West Yorkshire Windows dated 17/12/24. There was no subsidence at the property. Just internal cracking following damaged drains which have been repaired. None of the surveyors who attended the property with an understanding of the issues, considered the manhole location to have any bearing on the prospective build. Nor did other companies who were approached before Trent Valley were appointed or contractors who have been consulted since.

We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding this decision, which has been based on the available information and ongoing investigations.
In 2023, discussions began regarding a potential project at your property. During the initial inspections, concerns were raised about some disturbance to the existing structure, which prompted structural questions. At the time, we were informed that you were in discussions with Severn Trent Water regarding subsidence issues. As a result, the project was temporarily put on hold, and no further investigations were undertaken by the company.
Once we were advised that your discussions with Severn Trent Water had concluded and the matter had been resolved, we reinstated the project and arranged for a full survey to be carried out.
During the survey, it was discovered that a manhole was present on-site, and its proximity to the property meant standard foundations would not be suitable. Due to restrictions set by Severn Trent Water regarding the type of foundations that can be used, we explored alternative options. At this stage, it was further identified that the property is built on a traditional stepped brick foundation instead of a concrete footing.
This, combined with the property’s history of subsidence, means that constructing an extension would require significant additional costs for you, as well as further structural investigations.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused throughout this process.

Quality product & great service.
Clled West Yorkshire Windows because I had a problem with my patio doors I had fitted by them about 6yrs ago. They arranged a fitter to come out ASAP & he spotted the problem straight away. They just required adjusting which took him a few minutes.
I've had all my doors and windows replaced by them & I think they are a good quality product & all the fitters that we had have been very good.

Quick solution to locking problem…
Had an issue with locking back door that West Yorkshire Windows had fitted about 6 years ago. Arranged a visit within a couple of days and sorted out the issue quickly and without any fuss. The guy also looked at the front door and patio door for me and made some adjustments to them as the were a bit out of line. Great service and all covered under the warranty.

Employed WYW to fit a conservatory and…
Employed WYW to fit a conservatory and knock through the joining wall between the conservatory and the dining room.
Paid the deposit in Feb, work started 7 months later, near the end of September, which was poor to start with.
It's now 2 months since they started it, and it's still not finished. The sales rep told us it would take 5 days to finish, which was a little optimistic I agree, but even if it took 3x the estimated time, I'd have been OK with it. We are currently at over 8x the estimated time scale.
The poor workmen are sent from one job to the next, before they can finish the previous job. Over the 2 months since work was started, we have had workmen here for about 9 days in total, which is absolutely not on.
It's been 5 working days since a workman was last on site, which isn't too bad I suppose, but I emailed and left WYW voice mails, explaining they need to send them sooner rather than later, since there was damp on my floor, creeping up my freshly plastered walls. Eventually I got bored of them ignoring me, so I drilled some holes in the external cavity wall, in order to allow it to breath. This seems to have done the trick.
I'm a patient person, but this company is really starting to get on my nerves. Their office staff never let us know when workmen are due, the workmen just shown up. I then feel bad because they can't get on with the work until we sort out access to the property. If I knew they were coming, I'd make sure they had access before arriving.
I've given then 2 stars instead of 1, simply because the work standard itself is really good. When the workmen do show up, they graft hard and I can tell that they do a proper job.
I'd never recommend WYW as it stands, their customer service is non existent, their communication is horrible and the wait times are just way too long. I'm also out of pocket on several things because of these delays, including 7 months interest on the deposit and a deposit I put down for a plumber who I booked in for 3 weeks AFTER the scheduled completion date sent to be by WYW.
If you still want to use WYW for fitting a conservatory, if you start the process now, you might get it done by Christmas 2025, and I'm not exaggerating.

Great products and brilliant after sales care
I was having problems with a lock on my new front door which I was struggling to open - or I thought I was!!
WYW arranged for one of their engineers to visit me the very next day.
Even though I did say that it’s probably “user error” they did not hesitate to send someone to sort it.
Excellent customer service, which is rare in today’s society. Would totally recommend for both product and after sales care.

Came when they said they would to do the survey. Sensible price without a long bartering process. Knowledgable surveyor who gave very practical advice. Fitted on the day agreed with no mess.
