Leak Allowance Claim Issues & Complaint
My initial experience with Water Plus was not good. I'd submitted a leak allowance claim along with meter reads and all requested information, but frustratingly was asked for the same information over and again. After complaining, I spoke with Adam B from the Complaints Resolution team who resolved the issue to my satisfaction in a friendly, efficient and professional manner.

Admitted their own error, then sent us to debt collectors anyway
Since April we've been trying to do the simplest thing possible: pay our water bill by direct debit. We sent the mandate by email twice and nobody processed it. We then set it up over the phone. The money has been in the account the whole time.
Despite this, we got repeated early-morning calls chasing payment. Not long ago a Water Plus advisor confirmed there had been a direct debit error, acknowledged by their own tech team, and told us it was fixed and wouldn't happen again.
The account was then passed to a debt collection agency. That agency added £170 + VAT in charges. We clearly told them we did not agree to pay these. The next day we received an email "thanking" us for agreeing to pay the full amount plus charges. We agreed to no such thing.
We have an open complaint, and we were told no charges or further calls would happen while it was investigated. That wasn't true. When we ring about the complaint, we're transferred to the same debt collectors. A default has also been placed on a credit file for the bill.
This is a customer who wanted to pay and was never allowed to. Avoid if you can.

The worst company we have tried to deal…
The worst company we have tried to deal with when it comes to calling them. You are put on hold for ages while they try to connect you to someone in India that must be using a cup and string for a phone. Tried calling multiple times to see why they have stopped taking our monthly DD but every time we cannot understand anyone on the phones. Tried messaging through the online portal but no one responds to that either.
