We had been looking for a new sofa for a while and came across a sofa we liked on Stoker's website. We called in at Southport store and were able to look around at our leisure with no pressure from anyone. We found a sofa we liked and Graham Bedworth was able to help us with our decision. He was very helpful and explained everything about the sofa and the care needed, and he made the buying process very easy. We would recommend Stokers.

We wanted to buy 3 seater & 2 Seater leather couch. We went to several places to have a look. We usually go to SCS in Wigan where the staff were so lovely and they had a good range. The usual lady who had sold us furniture was no longer at the store. It was completely empty !!!!! What an absolute shame the store felt sad. I remembered a furniture place in In Ormskirk called Stokers I decided to check if it was still there. From the moment I spoke to a lady called Sandra to see if we could park outside, as I am disabled I was so reassured Sandra was so helpful 😊Her knowledge & understanding of not just my disability but her kindness and care and compassion was outstanding. She didn’t follow us around However she let us take our time which is so vital for me and we bought the 3 seater & 2 seater couches In Italian league we wanted. I cannot tell you how much difference this lady made. Please can you ensure that she reads our feedback. This lady made what is usually fraught for me into a wonderful experience. I would recommend a visit to Stokers in Ormskirk. Our new couches are being delivered in 6 to 8 weeks and I’m so excited. Amazing experience from Julie and so helpful

We have purchased a number of items from Stokers Chester over the years and have never been disappointed. When we wanted furniture for our extension Stokers was our first choice. From the minute we arrived Julie Williams made us feel very welcome and took us round the store showing us the options available. We ended up buying 2 leather recliner sofas, a table and 2 chairs.

Staff were lovely especially Jennifer Bedworth who served us - she was patient and caring to my disabled mother. Would highly recommend!!

We went to buy a Hypnos mattress and were impressed by the range of options in store to try out before buying. We were very pleased with the price we paid and the knowledge of sales staff who were on hand to offer assistance. We left feeling good about supporting a brilliant local business and buying British. Can’t wait for the mattress to arrive !

Nice Store

Joe was our salesman on our visit and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the item that we were interested in. Because of this we decided to purchase strait away and with a discount, can’t be bad. Recommend this store highly.

The store is very well laid out and immaculate. The Stokers colleague who dealt with our enquiry had excellent product knowledge and was very approachable, spending a great deal of time with us as we decided upon our choices. You can even take your dog along. We would both highly recommend a visit, it is a great store with lovely colleagues; we were helped with our choices by Peter Thackway and we truly appreciate his time spent with us.

We arrived fairly late 40 mins from closing. We had gone to look at a new base for our bed - we are having the room remodelled so it was an opportunity to refresh the bed base.
From the moment we arrived in the bed section Joe Tudor took us through our options and we settled on a base and ordered it!

Very pleased with the service at Ormskirk who were very helpful with loaning us the swatch books and thank you to Sandra for completing my order so efficiently.

We bought a mattress from Stokers and unfortunately it was faulty. They could not have been more helpful especially Joe Tudor who helped us decided on another mattress no matter how many times we went into the shop every member of staff was both courteous and helpful
Our new mattress comes in a couple of weeks and I'm sure it will be fine.

I spoke to a salesman on the phone with questions about a chair I was interested in. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. As a result I went into the store a few days later. He not only remembered our interaction, but knew exactly what model, colour, material I wanted. Impressive. Needless to say, we bought the chair.

My husband and I visited Stokers in Chester yesterday. We were served by Scott Dupree who was polite and professional. He was extremely helpful and assisted us to make our purchases. A very positive experience thank you. Would definitely recommend.

I had a lovely shopping experience at Stokers Chester. Nathan Lowndes was my assistant on a slow Monday afternoon. He introduced himself & said if I needed any help to let him know. I had a good wander round & tried a few beds & when I was ready he came over & we had a nice chat about what kind of thing I was after & what my budget was. No hard sell, no patronising mansplaining, no push for an insurance add-on. I was very happy with my purchase & would recommend the friendly, affable and knowledgeable Nathan!

We called into Stokers Chester on the 14th May 2026 looking for a new bed and with professional help from Joe Tudor on sales we purchased one .
All questions were answered well and helpful with no pressure sales at all so all good .

We had previously purchased 2 sofas from Stokers (25 years ago!!) so when the time came to make a decision on a new sofa for our kitchen area, we checked out Stokers to see if they had anything suitable for our needs. The amount of quality furniture at very reasonable prices was amazing, so too was the care and attention of Jenny, who was available for consultation on the selection of the sofa but was never intrusive. Having made our choice, Jenny then helped advise us on the various options available on the sofa we’d selected. The way she handled the final order was so efficient and covered everything that was needed in a really great manner. We left the store having made the right decision and extremely happy with the service that we had received. We’d happily recommend Stokers furniture store without hesitation.
