I have bought quite a few loft windows from Sterlingbuild over the years, but a friend gave me a Fakro window and l just needed a flashing kit to make it work, l looked online, called to confirm l’d found the correct item and within 3 days it had arrived as a drop shift item direct from Fakro! Initially l hadn’t received any acknowledgment email, but your back office put me straight on that, it had gone into my junk folder. Thanks Nick

Good product and head office resolution of problem, let down only by poor delivery.
Problems with availability of rooflights once ordered, which Sterlingbuild resolved quickly and delivered with 24hrs. Delivery was not great, although builders were in the house, the delivery company just left them on a palate in the road, to be found by our builders later, just as well they were so heavy they could not be stolen!

Customer service
Although I had an initial technical complaint it was dealt with swiftly and professionally. I have been using sterling build for all my roof window supplies and this was the first issue I have had. I’m please they were able to deal with the issue without reservation and will continue to use the company in the future.

Delayed
Ordered 14th with anticipated delivery of 17th. I emailed on 20th as it had not arrived, to be advised it was not in stock but expected 21st, delivery would be prompt thereafter.
I feel an email advising delay would have been appropriate, rather than me having to chase. Why advise an anticipated delivery date which clearly cannot be met?

Delivery instructions were in part ignored. They tried to deliver on a day when I was out and would not leave the order where I had specified.

• You placed an order on Sterlingbuild on the 13th May
• We confirmed your delivery date for the 16th May.
• You called in and spoke Customer services requesting a smaller vehicle for delivery and for the carrier to give you a call. Also to request the order to be delivered later than the confirmed delivery date.
•Customer Services confirmed that the order had already been despatched from VELUX , and the request for a smaller vehicle and phone number to be passed on and this was followed through our our end.
• It appears your order was delivered on the 17th May.
I accept that your order was delivered earlier than the original delivery date on your order confirmation, however I wanted to check that the 1 star review was based on the carrier not following the instructions.
