First impressions were good, but that is all goodness!

First impressions were good, although they kept getting my name wrong. Once the matter was handed over to delivery coordinator, it became impossible to get them on the phone. Even e mail address on their portal for the delivery coordinator is incorrect. When I mentioned this to her (after numerous unanswered phone calls), I was thanked but days later it is still the same. Just had to send e mail address to the car dealer, as they are chasing them for PO and cannot get in touch with them. No estimated delivery date in the portal.

Avoid this provider at all costs

Avoid this provider at all costs. Frequently had issues with payments, wrongly applied fines and there approach appears to be standard as “customer needs to pay”. Please choose another provider for your fleet.

My experience with SG Fleet has been very disappointing.

We agreed on a quote and completed all the required paperwork with my employer. However, by the time the car was delivered, SG Fleet had increased both the management fees and the interest rate, even though the broader environment was one of interest rate cuts.

When I questioned the changes, I was told to take it up with my employer. The lack of accountability, transparency, and consistency was extremely frustrating. Overall, the process felt deflective and left me with the impression that the company does not operate in good faith.

Please stay away from this company

Please stay away from this company, don't even speak to you about charging for damage just go straight to your employer to get the money , poor customer service throughout possibly the worse I've ever experienced please steer clear.!!

Seemingly professional.. nothing but a poor serviced rip off

Whilst seemingly organised and professional on first contact, everything goes down shortly after that.
Hidden fees and poor service is the standard and then you start to see just how badly they rip you off as time goes by.
Despite charging numerous “management fees”, they manage nothing. You are required to manage all your own accounts, and they make absolutely certain that the process is as difficult as possible, to ensure they rip you off for as long as possible.
They are a con artist wrapped in corporate sizing. In hindsight, even despite salary sacrifice and fleet benefits, there is absolutely no advantage to using SG fleet.

Untrustworthy

They have good customer service and fast response, but they will fleece you in every underhand way they can. They are not trustworthy. If you use their service, trust nothing.

I rarely leave reviews

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience due to the poor handling and communication I received throughout a recent issue. From the outset, the company failed to follow basic procedure. At no point was I invited to inspect the vehicle during handover in person or given a proper opportunity to discuss the situation before being issued a charge. This lack of transparency was frustrating and unprofessional.
Despite having already paying for a professional service to repair any scratches (very minor but i paid for in advance), SGFleet continued to ignore this and issued their own inflated estimate. I made them aware of the work already completed, yet they refused to acknowledge it.
Communication was inconsistent and confusing. After initially corresponding via email, they abruptly switched to postal letters without explanation, which only added to the stress and delay.

awful company - avoid at all costs and if its too late do not let them leave any handover inspection until they have discussed with you and let you know any issues. On my handover, they simply took the car and issued an invoice without any explanation

Horrendous - never ever again

I couldn’t agree with the below reviews more. In the four years I’ve had a car with them, it’s been nothing short of a nightmare. I’ve been left at the garage all day without a car because the customer service team wasn’t picking up the phone for 6 hours on the day of my service, to give the garage the details for them to release a hire car for the day. They just stop replying to emails when they can’t answer something. They hide charges from you or do not make them clear. They rarely answer the phone. The breakdown service they provide is a literal nightmare - best just dealing with the provider themselves directly unless you want three hours adding on to your recovery time (happened twice). The staff are either rude, immature, or literally just don’t have a clue what they are doing. Every email I ever send I’ve had to chase up at least once to even get a reply. I could go on and on.

Even when the customer service advisor was trying to get me to renew with them, he sent me an email addressing me as “Sean”. My name is Stephanie. Then when he couldn’t match a quote I had been provided elsewhere, instead of advising me of this - he literally just stopped replying to me.

I’ve just paid a fee to end my lease with them two months early, and have re leased with a different company. It’s worth the early termination fee just to be rid of them. I’m still not convinced they are even going to get the early termination and car collection right in September - but at least it’s done I won’t have to deal with them ever again.

Edit - the final icing on the cake. Their termination form asks for three dates to hand the car back, and asks you to list them in preference order. I list my three dates as requested, giving them over five weeks notice. What do SG fleet do, they book the third and last date on the form, even though my first two preferences were available - which means I am now losing two additional days of the contract hire I have paid for. When I complained, they then sent me a copy of the form advising that I requested this date - even though the form clearly states to list in preference order, so do they even read their own paperwork? I honestly feel like I am on another planet when I deal with this ridiculous company. Where do they actually find these staff…

Please read the other reviews, as they all mirror the same experiences I’ve had myself. How they are still allowed to operate how they do in 2025 is beyond me…

Poor attitude

Please don’t lease a car with this company. I have had a really poor experience. They have made many basic errors, they are slow, their staff are poorly trained and they chose to hide important information from customers. When you raise these issues with their so called ‘customer care’ department they are trained to just close you down. They are not interested. I can only hope the rapid depreciation of electric cars over the last couple of years puts this company out of business.

NEVER use SG Fleet

NEVER use SG Fleet. 0 integrity, transparency of account details, excessive demands for exceeding use of fuel and accounts and then on termination, they demand all fees and charges paid then refunded me $1200 pre tax. So why demand extra payments for excessive account usage if its in the black!! No explanations to calculations made, even when challenged on their mistakes, they still demand the payment from your payroll. Not sure about other leasing companies, but there is 0 tax benefit from leasing with SG Fleet. In fact it costs me over $6K extra to hold it. AVOID like the black plague

Absolutely Terrible Service – Avoid SGFleet at All Costs!

If I could give zero stars, I would! My experience with SGFleet has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful, treating customers with complete disregard over the phone. Every interaction feels like they are doing you a favor instead of actually assisting with legitimate concerns.

The handling of my lease has been a disaster—constant delays, lack of communication, and complete incompetence. To make matters worse, they increased the lease price during the contract period, which is completely unfair and deceptive. There was no transparency or reasonable justification for the hike, just a “take it or leave it” attitude from their team.

SGFleet is not a company you can trust. They will lock you into a contract and then change the terms as they please, leaving you frustrated and powerless. I strongly advise NEVER signing a lease with them unless you enjoy stress, hidden costs, and horrible customer service.

Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable leasing company—SGFleet is not worth your time or money!

Poor customer service, not following industry guidelines

Poor customer service, take weeks/ months to respond to anything throughout the duration of the contract.
Also tried to charge me for damage at the end of the contract which when escalated to an independent reviewer was within fair wear and tear guidelines - I would have paid them over £600 if I had not challenged this. Complete scam artists.

Worst company I ever dealt with in any space.

I wanna premise that I NEVER leave reviews for bad service, but this company is too much.
They don't care about you as a customer, they don't care about the service they provide, they don't care about their image. They are a scam adjacent company, probably they know that they are destined to fail and trying to make a buck in the meanwhile. My company only option for a novated lease is them for whatever reason in the world, so i entered in a novated lease with them:

They sent me 3 times a wrong quote in a row, until i asked to speak with a manager, WHICH STILL provided me with a wrong quote. After i corrected it myself, they proceded to provide the worst service for a company ever for the proceeding two years. Never had nearly any problems with any other company ever, i to date spent something like 40 hours on the phone with them.

I confirm what other review has said about the account always being in red despite spending much less than forecasted. Due to their incompetence? Due to they ripping you off? Who knows, at this point they are indistinguishable.

Their strategy when you lodge a complain is "acknowledge, say that they're sorry, forget it".

This is class action kinda negligence and they shouldn't be allowed to do business anywhere.

Terrible customer service and I suspect…

Terrible customer service and I suspect they are ripping us off. We haven't made a claim (petrol, tyres etc) for months but our account is still in the red.
We were forced to use SG after then took over from NLC, who were fantastic.
There is also zero transparency. In our statements the vast majority of funds are eaten up by 'least costs' which doesn't tell us any of the details like interest rate, loan costs etc. We have asked repeatedly for detailed breakdowns but they only have 'lease costs' listed in the spreadsheets. Their systems are terrible too. We have renewed our lease twice but keep getting invoices for thousands, asking for balloon payments. Avoid this company at all costs.

Rip off

Rip off - do not agree to a contract with them.

Customer services are a joke, the fine print in the contract never ends! Poor customer interaction, unsatisfactory customer support

Do not for one second sign anything with them, I warn you. Not worth the money not for a second, they sell it to you like its a really good deal, if it sounds to good to be true ! THEY ARE

Really disatisified terrible experience.
Never ever again would I trust a lease contract with them.
