I have just completed 28 days at the Priory Southgate. I cannot thank them all for the amazing treatment and warmth all the staff showed me. Within a week I had a diagnosis of complex post traumatic disorder, and severe insomnia. I have now been home 2 days and very happy to say still sleeping well. Also all the therapies have given me great coping mechanisms. My room was very nice, cleaners cleaned daily. My consultant was the medical director , who was such a warm welcoming gentleman who listened to my every need and ensured I received everything I need to go forward in life. He is also arranging outpatient appointments for me to ensure I stay on the write path. Cannot thanks them enough. I also made many friends for life. Many thanks Dawn Percivaldi January 2023

Working for the priory group was the worst working experience of my life. Nicola atkins the manager has known about lazy staff sleeping and playing games on there computer all night and not done anything about it whilst firing the best staff. I have also been told of illegal bad practices that she has done as manager there.

I called the priory to enquire for an individual and the assessment over the phone was a joke. The so called “qualified” individual that called me back had a poor phone manner and didn’t know how to conduct the call. Considering they are looking for 25,000 for a possible month detox, and that he was the voice for the company, don’t bother.

Priory Hospital rejected treatment to a friend of mine in 2021 who was suffering badly with borderline personality disorder. Less than a year later he killed himself after seeking help but being told he was too high risk. I wouldn’t trust this place, they clearly are more concerned with image rather than offering help to vulnerable people.

Stay away a job that treats you like a slave no job security terrible management no confidentiality its a school yard of bullying and gangs zero professionalism if you speak up on issues that need addressing expect to be ignored and punished for your opinions a place that causes nothing but stress anxiety and depression a place that is about mental health but causes and ignores mental health amoung its staff underpaid if you do overtime your lucky you get paid this and your not chasing the usless hr for money owed if you have a issues to discuss with managers dont expect confidentially because it will be spread like gossip if you work there long enough ul end living there as a patient the way they drive you into the dirt my experience was hell and i was forced out so many staff have left and they run on bearly any staff if hell exists its called the priory staff deserve alot better but ignored unpaided and treat like slaves its a panarama special that needs investigation and change to save it

Worst time of my life. After 6 days and 6000 pounds spent I had received no group therapy or counseling so I left, as I could not afford to pay 1000 pounds a day to have absolutely no treatment. If you are intelligent with mental problems, do not even consider these people, they don't have a clue what to do with you and are con artists only interested in your money (I begged to attend my assigned groups but was turned away each time so they would make more money).

My late mother Angelina lanera was placed at claremount nursing home early 2018 my late mother was diagnosed with dementia and psychosis a form of schizophrenia during the time of care they were not feeding my late mother properly and given enough fluids and loads of times when I've came to visit my late mother in her room I have found her by herself with no one to insist to feed her in November 2018 with a spy camera I caught Mamello Herring and Maria Jackson dragged my late mother from the toilet across the room and bodily lift her into the bed and dragged late mother up the bed by using a band techniques which they were both knew about. The law in their training. November 2019 one year later my mother passed away by the nursing home negligence and this is bold by giving my mother risperidone which is not suitable for people with dementia psychosis and heart problems heart problems because it's shortened their lives in January 2021 the mental health nurse and the carer got community order service and the barring and disclosure order not to work with vulnerable adults or children in January 2022 the nurse got struck off by the nurse midwifery commission and you can find a news articles about this in the papers by typing my late mother name Angelina Lanera or the nurse name Mamello Herring in any search engine and please leave a Google review with your opinion about claremount nursing home Halifax and it's a shame big corporate companies like priory can get away without paying any compensation and the system? And that's my opinion what I think of them August 2022 compensation at last
I'd like to give a special thanks to Richard Whittaker and his team at DIN Solicitors in finally getting me compensation from the priory group for what happened to my late mother at Claremont nursing home on Claremont Rd Halifax by the mental health nurse Mamello Herring and carer Maria Jackson on the 30th Nov 2018 where previously all other Solicitors just dismissed the case and refused to take on to get me Justice and if it wasn't for DIN Solicitors and Richard Whittaker and his team the priory group would have got away without any justifiable repercussions.

This is a private company that makes money off the NHS and don't care about the patients!! I have been assaulted by there staff and had 13 bruises on my arm they didn't keep a record of the bruises as it states clearly on the body report to do so. Now they are under investigation by the Surrey police station and by quality care commission. I hope you or your family members do not end up her because they are not going to gat any help for what they need but only get drugged up to keep you quiet!!

Am very worried about an elderly man with learning difficulties in one of the Priory homes. Reading the bad reviews here, they echo what he told me - the staff are uncaring and even act like bullies; and there is frequent staff turnover which this patient finds confusing and upsetting. The man's life is at risk as he prefers to remain outdoors and away from the Priory home. Am thinking of how to help the situation, and without making things worse for this patient.

Appointed as Manager, got start date and arrived on the day to be told that all but one of the staff were off with covid and 5 of 6 service users also had it. I had also contracted covid within 3 days. I feel that the company put my health in serious danger by not postponing my start date. I have sent my concerns to two of the senior management team and have not even had a response.

If you value your sanity, and mental health then DO NOT step foot in this dangerous hell hole! Referring to the Arnold Priory but I'm in no doubt that they're all soul-sapping torture chambers!

This is coming from a very strong and resilient person.....its truly beyond awful! I've never known anything quite like it; completely unreal and untenable. It baffles me how the Priory are allowed to operate!

I could kick myself for going against advice to work here. BIG mistake!

There was a lack of care, and a general level of disorganisation I found concerning so I cancelled my bookings after one session.

Grotesque as an employer. Am disinclined to elaborate too much as I may be taking legal action, however, the place I worked was unsafe, multiple issues in almost every aspect as an employee. Dishonest recruitment process, getting paid correctly and on time was inconsistent. Staff shortages and chaotic handovers were regular. Inhouse training is very good, probably the main positive but there a also free coffee machines, although the coffee is really yucky. Some staff are unpleasant or cold to patients and lack compassion, many inhouse staff are very good but way too many agency staff who are clearly riding the gravy train. Asked them to put me on hold as a bank nurse following a family suicide which was agreed then without notice got a P45 out of the blue. They are, in my view, the JD Wetherspoon of the healthcare sector. Would never consider employment with them again. My critical view is that they are a pretty ruthless outfit concerned about keeping on the right side of regulators. Avoid at all costs either as a staff member or a patient.

My initial consultation was on reflection not entirely satisfactory.
The next doctor I saw I made it clear I was unhappy with his lack of customer focus and medical knowledge.
The administrator was even worse seeming to forget that without customers he has no salary.
