Bought a car unfortunately with only 3 months warranty. Within 5 months the car had cylinder 2 failure my mechanic said the engine looked like it had been worked on before. I rang the company and they didn't want to know about it. Absolutely disgusting.

I’ve had quite a few cars off these guys over the years and had next to no problems at all with any of the cars I’ve had. I’ve had a few tiny issues but literally nothing at all but the guys are straight onit and putting those issues right. They r a great bunch and very friendly and they dnt force u into anything or any car that u dnt want. I highly recommend um for a descent newish car. There’s always plenty of cars and also different types to suit everyone 👌👌👌👌👌

Bought my bmw from them great people very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help me get what I what 😄 car came with 12 months mot and a service they have been nothing but helpful deffo recommend this garage :-)

I Bought a car off them in march this year a fault with a breaking sensor wasn't fixed that was meant to be done, cost me £856 on day

2. Was promised the car had an MOT and service, the MOT is questionable but definitely no service as I've had one done and the findings were shocking, disks worn less than barley 2mm on the break shoes, filters were full of thick black sludge
needed new brake shoes and disks all round, oil change, filters air con clean, there was no coolant in the car, back wiper was broken services cost in the end £875. ( Was meant to have had a service 😏.

The faults started coming half way home from driving the car off the forecourt. Since these problems I've had to buy a new fan unit £230, the turbo broke £1040, the touch screen on the radio broke £1000 for a new one.

£4000+ spent on this car since march, they are not even apologetic!! I was offered £199 for the sensor out of £865 and received £140.

My mistake for buying a car that had a cat n but was assured it had a slight bump and had work done to the bumper, after the car had been looked at due to recent faults it was found that the front light brackets had been plastic welded along with other plastic fixings under bonnet, the paint job has what they call the orange peel effect.

I was charged £9000 for this car the car I find out ( I should have researched this first😡) is only worth around £4000 because of the cat n, I have been done out of £9500 considering how much it should have been up for sale, if it was I wouldn't of minded spending a bit of money, but the fact of them not even being sorry or honest is the most upsetting.

Bought a mini cooper S 58 plate from here, as soon as got home the engine management light came on constantly. Had diagnostic check done, misfire on all 4 cylinders & high pressure system code 2880 came up. Complained so had to drive it nearly 50 miles back to dealer for repair. Told it was spark plugs, supposedly put right. Still not running properly. Had another diagnostic check done, still misfiring on 2 cylinders, 2880 high pressure system warning, again & vanos sensors not performing. Back to garage, they replaced vanos sensors OK. By this time had car 6 weeks but only actually been able to drive for 2 weeks. Comes back again, 2880 code still coming up & drives like a bag of ****(engine management light still on constantly). Cuts out frequently when pulling out from a junction (dangerous) & Kangaroo hops for first 20 minutes of drive time. Got back to sales manager & basically he said don't want to know contact the warranty people. Been told by 2 garages that these warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. Been in touch with warranty claims, time will tell. Would not touch this garage with a barge pole.

I brought my Audi from Platinum back in January. The car is perfect for what i need and hasn't missed a beat. Zac (the sales manager) sorted everything for me. The car had MOT and full service before i collected it plus a full wash and valet and was absolutely spanking when i collected it. I would highly recommend 👌

Had a very good experience from platinum, very good service and the salesman were very helpful.

I wish we had listened to our gut when buying from these slippery salesmen. The first car we were going to buy ended up in the repair centre, they told us that it just needed minor repairs but when we called the repair garage they informed us it needed a full DPF change and it had 2 other major faults. We decided not to buy the car, to which the salesman called us and said he valued our custom and to come and look at a different car the following day.

We found another car we wanted and did the paperwork. We decided to purchase another 6 months warranty on top of the current 6 months offered, for our protection after the first car incident.

6 months went by then suddenly the clutch broke, so we called our warranty company as directed. The warranty company had NO RECORD of our car or us as customers. Platinum had taken our money and not set up the policy for us, which it a serious case of negligence on their part. Nevertheless we called them and were very polite and patient with them. The first man we spoke to confirmed he had found our receipt and could see it said 12 months warranty on it and that he would look into it for us.

We then took our car to a garage around the corner who diagnosed the problem for us, it was most definitely covered by the warranty.

The next day we were met with a completely different attitude from the sales manager. Firstly he refused to speak to us over the phone, told us they don't keep receipts past 6 months and that he wasn't in the office. He then accused us of having something to hide, making a fraudulent document (the garage sent an invoice to us with the diagnosis), threatened US with trading standards and sent us extremely patronising emails.

Long story short, when he realised we had spoken to his colleague the day before, who contradicted everything he had said to us, he quickly offered another 12 months warranty as a 'good will gesture'... SOMETHING WE HAD PAID FOR!!!

From other reviews I have read, they seem to pocket the money for warranty policies and breakdown cover and only apply for it when something like this happens. Their customer service is absolutely shocking once they have taken your hard earned money.

We have now had the car repaired and the warranty paid out for it, nearly £500. I am so glad we stuck our ground and didn't let this jammy garage win.

We bought a range rover from them Febuary 2019, the gearbox failed, they took the car back and got it sorted, other minor faults were also fixed at the same time. unfortunatly, the gearbox failed again, and again, to cut a long story short the company replaced the gearbox, the torque convertor and the gearbox solinoid with new / refurbished parts, now runs really well.
On top of that, they offered us a £250.00 refund for all the hassle!!! you dont get that kind of service from main dealers do you?
