£88 to have a Passport Renewed is daylight robbery. It's clear that this mandatory service is a cash grab because there is no way that the production and process costs more than £10.

Passport renewal applied for online on Wednesday afternoon and received new passport on Saturday afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised that a Government Department actually did the job in such an efficient manner. Excellent service. Well done to the staff at the Passport Office…

Couldn't have been better. Standard online passport renewal application made afternoon of Tuesday 21 January. Posted old passport same day. New passport received first thing Friday 24 January. With updates at every stage. Perfect.

This was the best experience. Between filling my form in and receiving my passport not even a week had passed. This was in spite of my photo being rejected. Communication was speedy and really efficient. I was extremely impressed.

No happy citizen, contact the government customer service regarding my passat stolen take my report widouth proof of report, ,if the government don't take the report why take it, after 3 years the government customer service saz we don't take the passport stolen report the police only can take it, why don't advice my from the first report and advice me now after 3 years? This is because there work unprofessional people I ask te police phone number saz look on the Google, no happy!

Completed my online application on Saturday, sent my old passport on the following Monday and received my new passport on Thursday the same week. Kept informed of progress on a daily bases. Excellent service.

Had digital photo code from high street retailer for accepted format photo. Used the standard service with tracked send and return (so £93) for renewal; posted Friday, acknowledged receipt Monday and received on my doormat Wednesday. Very efficient and all credit to the Passport Office. Easy to criticise when things go wrong - but this was 'above and beyond' service level expectations. Thank you.

Applied online for a renewal passport..very easy to use. Did the photo booth. Good explanation of what I needed to do. Sent passport off. I asked for text service..this was brilliant as well..within a week I have my passport..HM Passport Services absolutely outstanding service..super efficient..thank you....

Applied for my child’s passport a few weeks ago kept getting messages to send in additional documents which was his birth certificate which I already sent 3 weeks ago
When I rang in they told me they want my birth certificate to prove my name but I had no updates online so I wasn’t aware of this and I would have not known if I didn’t call in ! VERY BAD ONLINE SERVICE
Update..
After sending in my birth certificate his passport came with in a week so overall the experience wasn’t that bad I just would have appreciated it if there was an update on the system telling me what additional documents they need and that it is not additional documents for the child but the parent.

I am not happy with the passport renewal service! It is 4 weeks since Gov.uk has received my old passport, however I haven't been given no update within 3 weeks. Even though they clearly state it online and once applying. If I would have known it will take so much time and there is no communication I would have opted for fast track instead. Only way to find out what is happening I have contacted them via chat twice, however al I receive that I have to wait even though I have to travel in a weeks time so now I won't be able to travel for Christmas, if I do not receive it on time. Hugely disappointing and there is no update within 3 weeks... I have been left in the dark. Very poor service! Gov.uk could you please look at my application and send my passport so I can book my Christmas holiday's with my wife and son...

Very easy to upload photograph (the system didn't like it, but accepted my reasoning) allowing me to pay and make an appointment. Loads of slots available. Good communication confirming the appointment and what to expect on the day.
On the day, the office was quite busy and I had to wait for 15 minutes, which wasn't a problem.
My appointment took place on a Wednesday morning and my new passport arrived on Saturday. I was kept up to date in between with emails. All in all, an
excellent service and worth the money.

Such a good service. A brilliant example of public sector department working really well. I messed up and needed my passport sooner than I thought and they made a huge effort to get it to me in time. Every time I deal with them they're amazing. Really efficient service

Utterly useless they have my old passport and they declined my
new application photo due to the light ?!? So I’ve had to go and pay for a new photo .
Bearing in mind anyone who does not have a passport gets let in anyway .
Farcical !
