Why can’t you just phone the drs and…
Why can’t you just phone the drs and make an appointment? This new system is mad and what about old people who don’t use the internet????? Discrimination! Why do I now have to use a portal? I just hit delete. The same with the texts you bombard me with. I didn’t sign up for the barrage of texts. I want them to stop! There seems no way of stopping them.
So, no longer can you see a dr at a time that suits you. I just don’t even bother trying anymore and delete all these texts you bombard me with and can’t stop! What’s the point in constantly texting me about blood pressure etc if you can’t see a dr? I don’t have a blood pressure machine. I want the texts to stop but can’t stop them. Now it’s a health check text and before our systems are changing. Had 3 texts in a week about that. I don’t want texts. It’s harassment.
I don’t want texts. I don’t want to go online and hope that maybe I can see a dr. I don’t want to wait all day for a phone call. Some people have jobs. You used to be able to phone up and ask for an appt after work. Quite frankly that’s the last time I went to see my dr. I can’t be doing with all this online stuff and the receptionist deciding who can see a dr and who can’t. No wonder people call 999. That’s another thing. When there’s a long wait for ambulances. Why send 2 out to a dead person?
The worlds gone mad!
Maybe the idea behind it is to kill people off! This country is too overcrowded. That’s the issue! Less people. More appts. At least I’m bothering no one unlike you.
Stop texting me!

Hard Working Dedicated Staff
My 2nd time in Hospital Castle Hill Hospital Cottingham East Yorkshire.
This time Ward 27.
Once again, I must let all know that the staff on this ward were and are hardworking dedicated staff. I have now recovered from Cancer and been treated for Cancer which has now been removed by the expertise of Mr Gooseman and his team and others who led the way to my operation, and I am truly grateful to all. I must mention a staff member in particular as Nurse Tilly (not sure of the name) who worked nights whilst I was on Ward 27. A caring capable young nurse who went out of her way to ensure I was looked after and made a point of checking and rechecking I had treatment I needed. Well Done and Thank you. A Credit to your profession. I owe my life to many at Castle Hill Hospital and will be forever grateful.
If I may add that I am an 81 yr Veteran who served 24 yrs in the RAMC but did not reach the high standards of all your staff at CHH. Thank you.
Mr Cheong Hung Lee Imperial NHS surgeon
My only advice regarding Mr Cheong Hung Lee Imperial NHS surgeon is to contact a solicitor if you have any concerns regarding his conduct, or that of any other clinician at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. The fact that the hospital themselves are directing me to seek a lawyer is concerning...
My GP decided i needed blood tests
My GP decided i needed blood tests, gave me a form and told me to arrange an appontment at one of the hospitals listed on the form The form showed an email address to contact Very good, easy peasy I thought...WRONG!
Why does the NHS make it almost impossible to make a simple appointment prescribed by their GP without jumping through endless pointless computer system hoops?
Why do they need me to prove identification when I have all the GP's references to give them..
Why do I have to have an iphone and a computer operating simultateously to tranfer pointless "security" numbers?
Why do i have to submit a photo id when they cannot has any idea what I look like?
Why is the whole process so convoluted, Is it just to deter people from using the NHS.? (seems like it)
Do they actually ever try out their systems on ordinary people before releasing them on the public?
There is absolutely no wonder the NHS is supposedly on it's knees when they insist on wasting huge sums of taxpayers money with the sole intention of making life - and possibly death! - as difficult as possible for us patients..
They should realise that many, possibly most, of the people who have to use these systems are not computer experts and finding their way around obscure web sites is a real challenge. especiallyfor people who may be suffering serious health problems at the time.
I suppose nothing will change while the taxpayer continues to hand out huge sums of cash to allow them to perpetuate and expand these grotesque practices.
• Here is my recent experience at a kings college hospital
• Here is my recent experience at a large NHS hospital, where I spent two weeks in the extreme trauma ward, due to a serious road traffic accident. I am not writing this to complain about the NHS as a whole, but just their choices of who they employ. I am as we all are that they are under pressure and short staffed, but they do seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel. However I had 2 terrible experiences that are still giving me nightmares. The first was early one morning when this youth was on his rounds taking blood pressures, I obviously I was not waking up quickly enough for him, because, suddenly I was awaken by a sharp shooting pain in my arm that was already broken in four places and in plaster only to see this youth yanking my arm towards him to get the BP machine connected. Of course I screamed in agony and gave him a few choice words for his complete stupidity.
• The other occasion was at 2am, when I needed to go to the bathroom and needed help getting out of the bed. I had several broken ribs amongst other things and three tubes attached. So I called out to the nurse on duty, I need some help, to which he replied shouting and I kid you not, Who the fxxx do you think you are asking me for help, do you think I am here to fxxxing help you, help your fxxxing self. I lied there for a few minutes, trying to absorb what I had heard from this nurse, but I still needed to get to the bathroom, so tried to get out of bed myself, he then laughed and said you cant can you because of all the tubes, then laughed again. I tried to pull myself up using the rail on the bed, when I felt my recently operated on coller bone brake. The nurse then shouted down the corridor for another nurse to help me, fortunately a nice Nepalese girl, who then took me to the X-ray dept, where they confirmed that my collar bone fix had broken and still is to this day, it could not be repaired.
• This nurse was in his mid 60s and I can only assume that he had not worked in a normal hospital for all those years and had got away with that kind of behaviour for so long, so can only assume that he had been working at somewhere like broadmore or some similar institution. I had also observed the night before that he was drinking whisky from one of those small hip flask shaped bottles. I did of course make complaints to other nurses and one other higher up, but they were only concerned about the whisky. I know that they have heard him shouting and swearing at patients before, I had heard him myself from another ward on 3 other occasions. A year later most of my injuries have improved, however my head injuries seem to be long lasting and now suffer from PTSD from this experience on a daily experience.

I want to sincerely thank Conolly at the Foot Clinic at Mile End Hospital for her outstanding care and professionalism. Her friendly and attentive approach made my experience so much better. I truly appreciate her help and expertise. Highly recommend!
Claire Barrett provided truly professional service and worked late to make i was put throghr for the next stage of interview
Claire Barrett provided truly outstanding support throughout my recruitment process for NHS Cheshire. After I was shortlisted, she promptly followed up and guided me smoothly through the first stage, making sure I was well-prepared for the interview. Claire thoroughly checked and vetted all my documents, even taking the extra effort to review everything before she left for work, knowing she wouldn’t be available at the table the next day. Thanks to her professionalism and attention to detail, I felt confident and well taken care of.
I am delighted to have passed the interview and been selected for the role, and I genuinely believe Claire’s friendly assistance and dedication made an important difference. I am grateful for her commitment and clear communication at every step of the process. I highly recommend Claire Barrett to anyone going through NHS recruitment—her support is exceptional. Thank you, Claire!
A big thank you to Kirkcaldy A&E.
I had to accompany my wife to the A&E at Kirkcaldy yesterday. We were both very impressed with the speed of which my wife was attended to. The woman receptionist realised that my wife was if extreme pain and prioritised her accordingly. From then she was quickly assessed buy the minor injuries unit and the X-ray unit. It transpired that my wife had dislocated her shoulder and this was quickly addressed and fixed. We were in and out in around two hours. Considering the poor press that the NHS gets I think we were treated with great care, kindness and attention throughout. We were even assisted by a Paramedic when walking to the A&E Reception. Well done and thank you to all involved.
Obstructive and inert…
Consistently poor service no matter which part of the Beast you engage with.
Pointless, illogical and inconsistent data policies.
If you live in North London, you can withold consent for the Beast to share your data on the central record. Very easy, one form and it's done.
If you live in South London, it's a different 5 page form and you can't withhold consent unless the Beast itself agrees! Blatant breach of gdpr and unfair and discriminatory based purely on your location.
What's more, Lewisham Hospital, which manages the latter process is obstructive and inert. Constantly making disproportionate demands for data they don't reasonably need to process your data instructions!
I'm looking at yoo Ryan Poo(ley)
Clatterbridge hospital great service
Clatterbridge hospital, Wirral. Was more than sceptical when I was referred for physiotherapy on my neck, however I have been pleasantly surprised by the service at Clatterbridge,it only took a couple of weeks to get the appointment useing the nhs app. My appointment was at 08.40 and I was seen by Helen the physiotherapist at this time, after she took the full history she got to work on massaging my back and shoulder area, feel a lot better. I have booked in for another appointment and the letter was on my phone by the time I got home.
All in all can't fault the professional approach and service. Perhaps it's time for people to stop knocking the service.

Scottish NHS - Wasteful and Bloated organisation
Where to begin? I have been back in the UK for just over a year and have non stop bad experiences with Edzell GP clinic, Laurencekirk GP clinic and Taybank GP service. I have been bullied, dismissed and shouted at (by the administrator at Laurencekirk). I dread to think how much money is wasted each year by NHS GPs in evasiveness, incompetence, inability to leave their ego at the door and actually listen to the the patient. On several occasions my daughter has not been taken seriously, having to see doctors on repeat for the same condition each time with no resolution and no clear treatment plan. I do not believe it now when i hear the NHS is chronically underfunded. From what I can see its terribly run, answerable to no-one, accountable to no-one, and lacking any competition. The majority of staff have forgotten they are a service provider working for the benefit of the patient and not just at work to pick up a salary. In the latest instance of time wasting we had a doctor at Taybank surgery request a meeting with my daughter to tell her he could not fill out a form for her. This should have been a phone call to me but instead he requested a meeting with my teenage daughter which left her in tears and will no doubt charge us the taxpayer for it. I did not have any health issues before returning to the UK but the stress of having to navigate the NHS on behalf of my two children is quite literally making me ill. Its a terrible state of affairs but from what i hear from friends and family everyone just feels powerless to do anything about it and the NHS is making no plans to do a root and branch review and get rid of the people that do not perform their jobs properly. Anyone complicit in this should take a long hard look at themselves and ask what they can and should do about it.
