Think Carefully before opening a savings account
I opened a fixed period savings account with My Community Bank just over a year ago.
I received an email from the Bank around 2 weeks before the maturity date asking what I would like to do with the proceeds when the account matures (withdraw or reinvest)
I confirmed by e-mail the same day advising a full withdrawal into the nominated bank account held on file.
On maturity date, No Funds Received!
I left it a couple of days (to allow for Easter) and then contacted customer service and was told that, "for reasons unknown, my instruction was not actioned" and it would now be processed and funds would be in my account within 2 working days
The 2 days have now passed, and still no funds!
I will now have to escalate externally to recover what is being wrongfully withheld!
