Absolute waste of time and deceitful

I purchased and paid for an item which boasts 3 day delivery however nearly two weeks in,2 non answered emails and a pay pal dispute opened up by myself,I eventually got through to customer services to be told they had cancelled the order as have no stock although still selling.
Best of all they vet all feedback given to their site

dishonest Misco

Purchased a transcend prodrive200 car cam and mount from Misco on the 15/2/15 in stock items at £104 17/2/15 email showing despatched .
3 day parcelforce delivery not received emailed customer services on 23/2/15 no reply phoned on the 24/2/15 to find item not despatched infact not available although monies had been taken on the 15/2/15 told not available due to Chinese new year requested immediate refund will not recomend dealings with these people and certainly will never shop with them again
only gave 1 star as zero not an option

Sold the item I ordered twice.

This is absolutely the worst experience I have had buying online (and I ebay), I would never use Misco again.

After purchasing an item and receiving and order confirmation I didn't receive any further correspondence, after a week passed and the item still hadn't been delivered I called up only to be told "Sorry that item is no longer available". I was rather frustrated that this came about and made worse by the absolutely atrocious 'Customer Services' who were about as much use as a chocolate teacup and simply kept repeating "I'm sorry you feel let down but what do you want us to do about it?" ... Absolutely absurd!

If I acted in such a fashion with my customers I wouldn't have any left. Avoid Misco and use a more reputable supplier.

Brilliant Service

Stumbled upon reviews here after placing order with Misco. Possibly would not have ordered if I'd read them first. Thankfully I didn't have a similar experience to the majority of those I'd read.
Misco were FANTASTIC!
The tablet I'd ordered arrived quickly but after a few days I discovered a fault.
Misco could not have been more helpful. Polite and friendly throughout, Daniel from customer service replied within (literally) seconds.
The first class assistance of Daniel and then Eva quickly resolved the problem ending with a happy customer pleased to have encountered such wonderful people.

Very Poor Customer Service

After waiting a week for my order to arrive and one email with unkeeped promises from Misco, the contact me,I phone Misco to be told they could not sipply my item. will find the item I need elswere

DON'T USE MISCO UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING MUCKED ABOUT

Worst company to try order from

the website seems nice enough , but once they take your money, from there it is really a kind of a gamble of if and when you may get your parts ,
even after choosing and paying more for "next day " delivery
on numerous occasions i have to chase them for weeks before anything was delivered ( and in with damaged boxes ) , in most cases they blame the purchasing department , who are so above everyone else and feel they do not have to contact or report any delays to the customer
we will no longer be doing any business with the company at all

Trust the reviews

Terrible service. Ordered a PC monitor and got an email a day later saying I needed to send them a copy of my passport or other identification (thought this was a bit weird but decided to go ahead with it because of my impatience). A few hours after I sent them my I.D. they emailed me saying my order had been released and was on its way. Four days later, still no sign of my monitor, so I emailed them today only to receive a response saying my order had been cancelled because of a pricing error and I am welcome to place another order with them. They obviously had no intention of letting me know that they cancelled my order, and I'm still waiting on getting a refund. Absolute joke of a company, the only thing I could recommend is to STAY AWAY!!

Absolute disgrace

Ordered TV. Next day they emailed to say I had to supply copy of ID for “security reasons”…new one on me!!!!!. I was then emailed to say TV order had been released to me. 4 days later they emailed to say, and I quote “I would like to inform you that your order has been cancelled due to a pricing error. If you would like to place a new order for an alternative product please do not hesitate to contact our Salesdesk on 0800 038 8880”
No apology, no offer of perhaps a small discount to compensate for their mistake and no mention of what their error was, ie what your price should have been.

3 DAYS latter Misco are still advertising this TV for the price they refused to sell to me for due to pricing error…. DISSRACEFUL.

No reply to my letter of complaint after 3 days btw......great customer service....NOT!

There should be a law against this company being aloud to get away with this practice. Only wish that I had read all the negative reviews about this company before I ordered.

How the mighty have fallen

Since around 1990 I have purchased thousands of pounds worth of equipment, from what is now Misco.co.uk, for a few of my businessess, and also put a lot of my customers in their direction.
I had always found them to be good value and with good service, but that has changed dramatically.
On 13th Jan 2014 I ordered 4 items: A dell PC, SSD Drive and mount, and a Sapphire Graphics card, all to make up a single PC as a replacement for a critical system that had failed.
All items were shown as 'in-stock' (which is why I chose them) and I ordered before 6pm so that I'd get it next day (paid extra for next day service). I recieved an order confirmation which again stated all were in-stock and would be despatched via CityLink Next Day delivery.
3 items arrived on the second day, not next day, and via 3 different couriers (so clearlt didn't come from the same source), but the graphics card was a no-show. I tried to call Customer Service but could not get through. On day 5 I had still not recieved the item, nor had any notification that there was a problem with the item. I logged into their website and found an order history section that showed the order, and it also showed the graphics card as back-ordered. On day 6 I tried to call Customer Service again, but couldn't get through, so I sent them an email complaining that I had not been notified of the problem with the order and that this was an urgent item. Within a few minutes I recieved an automnated reply saying that due to a high volume of enquiries it might take 48 hours to get a reply.
Well it's now day 10 and not only do I still not have the card, I also have had no response to my email/complaint.
Anyone can sell products, and there will always be the occassional problem, but the test of a good company is how they respond to those problems and I'm sad to say that in Misco's case the answer appears to be a simple one... they don't bother any more!
If anyone from Misco happens to read this and has any interest in the future of their company and customer satisfaction thay can call me.
It should be easy to find me given the info above.
I'll even give them a day or so to do it, but after that they will get no further businesses or recomendations from me, which is sad after 14 years.
I even have the same surname as most of their directors, I wonder if that helps?

Dreadful

I ordered a USB stick. It didn't seem to work on arrival so I contacted the manufacturer who got back to me in a few days saying it sounds like it's faulty and I should return it to the point of sale. Significantly easier said than done when it's Misco. They seem to be finding anyway possible to avoid the return.

COWBOYS

I ORDERED A LAMP FOR MY PROJECTOR ON THE 3 JAN ...THEY GAVE A SHIPPING DATE OF THE 6TH OF JAN ...ON THE 12TH I RANG TO CHECK ON THE STATUS .....THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD CANCELLED THE ORDER WITHOUT INFORMING ME ,
NO EMAILS NOTHING ...
WHAT A BUNCH OF COWBOYS !!!!!

Dreadful

I ordered two items from Misco and received confirmation emails. When the order did not arrive, I contacted customer services who said they would get back to me. Nothing. I then contacted them again and was sent an email saying they would get back to me the next day about a refund as the supplier was not honouring the order. After a week, still no call. I then contact them again and was told that it could take up to 8 days to refund my credit card. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was no-one in the office. Dreadful communication and poor customer service seem to be acceptable to this company.

LIARS

I asked Misco to remove my account because I don't want them to have my details after realising they don't make good on their promises (in terms of price & stock). I emailed once a week asking for a response. After 4 weeks I got this:

"Dear Customer,

Sorry for the delay in answering. Please be informed your account has been removed from our system.

Thank you

Upon checking whether my account was removed, I was able to still login & see my personal details on their site. Nikolett lied to me.

I have emailed once a week for the past 4 weeks and had no response to my challenge that I was lied to. This company obviously skimps on their customer service staff/pay/motivation.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Do not buy from here

Bought a tablet, they took the money from my account no problem. I emailed enquiring about it and they told me the product is not available and will no longer be available. WTF. Why did they take money off me for something that they dont even have?!

Silently cancelled my order

Cancelled two out three items on an order, without a call, email or even a comment on the remaining items delivery note.
Reading other reviews, which I should have done before ordering, I am lucky enough they only took money for the one item that was delivered - though the two missing ones did not stop them taking the full delivery cost as well!
Bought from them a fair bit a few years ago so thought they were still trustworthy. Dabs and eBuyer may not be as cheap as some of these sites but at least they deliver (literally)!

Cheaper than everyone else but some problems recently

Have used Misco for years, buying equipment for a medium-sized business. Currently they are our primary supplier.

Pros: Cheaper than everyone else. Other retailers get their stock from Misco then mark it up (see 'Cons' for how I know this!). Delivery exactly when you expect it. Decent cashback deals on HP PCs turn up from time to time.

Cons: Recent system changes seem to be causing some amount of chaos in Misco's systems. We started seeing another online retailer's orders in our order history. This was fixed but we then started receiving their invoices instead! Businesses cannot take advantage of cashback offers via sites like Quidco.
Experience as a personal customer of Misco wasn't impressive, with my one and only personal order from them. In order to verify my ID they requested I send scans of several documents containing sensitive personal info, which would be usable by identity fraudsters, by unencrypted email to them. I refused point blank and ended up having to send just a scan of the top of a bank letter with the bank logo and my address on! Obviously that would be very easy to fake, so their security check was shown to be a joke. I'm pretty sure companies asking customers to email scans of passport, birth certificate and bank letters are breaking the Data Protection Act. I discovered these would have been received in Eastern Europe, where Misco now are based. Absolutely no fraudsters there so I'm sure it's perfectly safe!!!!!!

So, business to business on account is good, as long as they can sort out their current issues.

Take your money and dont deliver non existant customer service

The reviews old and new tell the story they are incompetent, do not respond to emails completely and don't deliver goods paid for.

I am following up via Paypal as have no confidence in this company.

Item ordered 3 weeks ago never arrived, after 2 weeks I emailed their customer service and got an automated email saying they will be in touch. That was a week ago and nothing.

There are so many other complaints of this nature I suggest you read the tells of woe and avoid these monkeys. Hopefully if enough people vote with their feet they will go bust.

HORROR DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY!!!

Basically the company is a scam business. Check their current reviews and old reviews under previous names. I bought a 10 inch tablet from MISCO, paid using paypal, got a confirmation few second later so I thought it was legit. However the item has never arrived, after 2 weeks I complained to their customer service and as a result got an automated email that there was an error in their stock accounting and my item was not available, therefore they promised to refund. The have never done it, instead I sent a number of emails asking for a refund with no success. I phoned their customer support and they also agreed that my money should be refunded ASAP but they've never issued it. Finally, I got my money back through a paypal case claim which took around 1 week. They have never replied to paypal case as well although they had 7 day to do it. Without their reply Paypal agreed to refund in full. Horror-experience!!!
