Extremely disappointing and misleading…
Extremely disappointing and misleading company.
I recently started psychotherapy and counselling sessions and submitted a claim, which was promptly rejected on the basis that these treatments are not covered by my policy.
Medicash advertises support for bereavement, health, and stress, yet in reality this appears to apply only if you use their own counselling services — a significant limitation that is not made clear in the policy documents.
For a company presenting itself as a health insurance provider, the lack of proper and transparent mental health cover is frankly unacceptable. This feels misleading at best.
Overall, my experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone considering their plans to read the fine print very carefully before signing up.

As outlined in our policy documentation, counselling is covered only when accessed through our approved third-party provider, and unfortunately sessions arranged independently would not be eligible for reimbursement. We always recommend checking the policy Terms and Conditions before incurring costs to ensure eligibility.

Awful scam of a company.
I have this through my company, I have tried to claim for a physio which was declined, tried to claim for a massage, also declined. I have no doubt it will be the same for dental or eye care.
It's clear that this company will always make claiming as difficult as possible to avoid paying out whilst taking a monthly charge.
You can see from other reviews this is happening all the time for others too.
Save your money choose another company and if your employer is using this company tell them to look elsewhere, this is clearly a scam.

As you may or may not be aware, Medicash is a not-for-profit organisation run for the benefit of our policyholders. Last year, we paid over 1 million claims. Claims for physiotherapy can prove problematic if the provider adds something to the receipt that we don’t cover.
We’d recommend that you contact our claims team on 0151 702 0265 or customercare@medicash.org to better understand what is and is not covered in this area and what the receipt needs to show in order to be paid.
