I was very saddened to hear that they…

I was very saddened to hear that they have gone bankrupt.
I bought thousands of pounds worth of furniture from them and they were always a lovely company to deal with. Others ay different things but I can only speak as I find,. Good quality furniture and a great after sales service. Such a shame...thank you for all you did.

Damaged Unit. No chance of exchange!

Received my bedroom furniture beg of March. Six drawer chest of drawers was damaged. They said they had arranged an exchange but heard no more. Just seen online they gave gone bust.
Great! Looks like I’m going to have to keep a damaged unit.

We have purchased the entire redundant stock from the Kingstown factory after it ceased trading.
It is currently being delivered to our warehouses.

Furniture Village supplier goes bust. Will I get my furniture that I've paid for?

Ordered £3000 of furniture from Furniture Village including Kingsley (Kingstown) chest of drawer unit and bedside tables. Failed to deliver one of the bedside tables. 3 weeks later they delivered the wrong colour. 4 weeks later the expected delivery didn't arrive. Why? Discovered that the company is in receivership over a week ago. No communications from Furniture Village. No communications from courier. Try phoning Furniture Village "head office" and you wait 15 minutes to be told that you need to contact the store. The store's phone rings for 15 minutes and then cuts you off.
Eventually get through and are told Kingstown is in receivership.
Will I get my matching bedside table? Nobody can tell you. "It's in the hand of the receiver"!
PS. I like the Kingsley range, well made, nice finish, well engineered. Sorry for the staff.

I ordered £2000 worth of bedroom…

I ordered £2000 worth of bedroom furniture from Bensons a few weeks ago. I was contacted by text from this company to say delivery was 7th March 2019 PM. At 14.07 i contacted them to get a estimated time of delivery. I got a call back to say anything up to 19.30.They never turned up. Absolutely appalled by there service. No phone call or nothing. We had cleared the bedroom etc only to have to put everything back at 22.00 to go to bed. Still heard nothing from them. A very unhappy customer. Hoping the Managing Director rings me ASAP. I understand there can be issues, but why not COMMUNICATE.

Terrible/non existent customer service

I ordered 2 bedside tables from Very on 11th Feb. Still awaiting delivery. Delivery date came and went with no bedside tables. Very requested they call me twice. They did not. Very passed on their number to me so I could call. I was told that "they have a high number of orders at present and this is why there is a delay". I was then told my query would be sent to Logisitics and I would receive an email confirming what was happening. Still nothing. I have today emailed them direct to see if this makes a difference. As per previous reviews, I will always check who the supplier is in future before buying blind from high street retailers.

AVOID KINGSTOWN

I have been having a lot of issues with Kingstown and decided to come to Trustpilot to put my review and I was shocked by the amount of bad reviews they have.
Their team; from customer servcies to technicians are all useless and completely incompetent; from start to end.
AVOID them. I bought furniture from Furniture Village (their sales people in store are truly great by the way) however aftersales are very poor and dealing with the combination of them (Furniture Village customer services & Kingstown team) was a total nightmere.
The problem is, as long as high streest retailer continue to use Kingstown they won't increase the quality of their service and we the consumer will suffer!

More lies!

Further to my wifes comments below we still are no further forward. I have had no contact from Kingstown even through you claim in your response to my wifes review to be delivering on the 3rd. No one has rang me to tell me this and until they do I wont be staying in waiting as it is probably yet another lie!
Furniture village have no record of this either and are still struggling to get a resolution from your company about these replacement parts, when they are going to be delivered and fitted.
I am now compiling all of this as evidence to contact the furniture ombudsman on Monday as my last email to your company, sent over 7 days ago about taking this to the ombudsman, has not had a reply.
Unless someone actually phones me to sort this out then I will be taking this further and seeking compensation via the legal routes.

Make up lies and apparently don’t deliver to my house!

So we got a set of wardrobes and the door was chipped in November. Rang firstly and told they would replace it. Told a Saturday delivery fine. Kept getting texts for weekday delivery, when rang, we will note this, more weekday dates, rang- no record of previous conversation, rang again- no record of previous conversation. Rang again- we don’t do Saturdays! Evening we will arrange. Rang again after some time- we don’t deliver to your area!!! The joke goes on. Can’t explain how we got the furniture. Asked furniture village to ring and they promised them 3x now the would ring us. Have now asked furniture village to escalate this as it’s now been 2.5 months and getting no where. Would not recommend as generally lie and change story every time.

Broken bedroom furniture 😞🤬😢

I brought a set of bedroom furniture from Argos made by this company for £1,436.90p
When the furniture was delivered it was damaged so they tried to deliver it eight times more until it was reasonably okay by then I was just going to take it because I’ve been waiting for so long it still wasn’t very good quality and it looks lovely but it was just should he made and then after being in the bedroom for six months apart it fell off I find Argos for them to come back and they made an appointment then cancelled it so I’ve got the number for the furniture place that made it and every time my phone is a que
I still haven’t been able to get hold of them as I work full time and they’re only open from nine till five Monday to Friday I will try again on Monday and let you know what happens not a happy bunny

Very poor customer service

Bought a bed frame from Bensons which was being delivered direct. First delivery date was unacceptable due to time offered. Had to chase another delivery date which was another 2 weeks away. I was offered an afternoon delivery with a phone call an hour before they were due. Day before I get a phone call from the delivery driver to say they have had some cancellations so will be delivering at 10 am. I said this was not convenient because of work so they said another date would be arranged. I then get a text to say they are delivering on the following day at 12 after the delivery has been cancelled. I then get a phone call at 9.30am to say they will be delivering at 10am when they knew this was not convenient. I had to rush out of work leaving health and safety at work an issue and my employer not happy. Emailed MD who passed it on to someone else to reply who really did not care about my dissatisfaction and the problems they had caused me, all they cared about was delivering when they wanted to not what was convenient to the customer. When asked if they were prepared to give any sort of compensation to build bridges they categorically said they would not offer compensation. Great customer service - NOT. Stay clear of this company. I only gave one star because it wouldn't let me do a review if I didn't otherwise I wouldn't have given any.

Really poor service

Really poor service
First order arrived, was not unpacked left with all the packing rubbish and had to assemble it all, however was damaged
Rang to advise of this poor customer service, was told to use the items and wait for a replacement no idea of dates
Replacement delivery booked, waited in all day no show, call them to be rudely told they sent us a letter and left a voicemail to cancel the planned delivery
Another call to rude staff members, to be told we have to wait for another delivery no idea when this will be, waiting and finally the replacements arrived these delivery men were very helpful and replacement items are fine but the whole shoddy service is enough to put you off using this company!

A week ago I got a message saying "quality is worth waiting for"
The next message said delivery 29th January I thought thank heavens it's finally coming.The lorry arrived I thought they must be unpacking it in the back of the lorry but I guess they already know half of wardrobe didn't exist, the first half of wardrobe came in the guys quickly unpacked it just before they left he explained "we only have half of the wardrobe, nobody has any idea where it is ?? It wasn't put on the lorry he said his delivery sheet showing it but can't find it in the truck." They were gone quickly leaving me no time to say take the half back until you can deliver the other half, I was even given the job of being responsible for ringing Hull running up a nice fat telephone bill, I'm still in shock still trying to understand what happened to me, I have been living out of packing boxes so long nobody has helped me, nor rang, other than saying it's human error. I still have no idea like other reviews if ever I will have a happy outcome I'm not living in hope. If I had read any of the reviews I would have never purchased the wardrobe, the irony in all of this I could have gone to Cotswold and had a great wardrobe delivered in two days as our friend Dean did.

Very disappointed ☹️

Ordered two wardrobes, two bedside cupboards and a chest from Dunelm 4th November thinking we were actually ordering furniture from Dunelm, we were informed it would be 4 to 6 weeks delivery. Received a text 5 Dec to confirm it was convenient to deliver today 15/12, I replied immediately yes. Today we emptied and dismantled wardrobes and moved chests into spare room. After waiting in from 12pm I decided to look up Kingstown delivery reviews, I wish I had done it earlier instead of waiting 5 hours! My hubby has re built the wardrobes so we can empty our bed of all the clothes because I am pretty sure Kingstown will not be delivering now. Disgusted with their service and the fact that you cannot contact anyone unless in office hours

Stunning furniture

Stunning furniture, I have a 5 door and 4 door wardrobe and 2x 5 drawer chests in Alpha. Delivery drivers covered their shoes on my new carpet and had to dismantle the 2 door sections of the wardrobes to get them down the landing, this was done with no issues and the furniture was put exactly where I wanted it. This is my 4th lot of Kingstown furniture and I have had no issues with any of it, only changed due to moving and decorating.
