I have been going to K2 for all my trekking needs since 2012. The staff are very friendly and helpful but most importantly they are truly experts in their field. I am planning another trek to Nepal later this year and Pasang was not only able to advise me with all my gear questions, he went above and beyond and offered to check all the gear I already owned (an offer I accepted!) to make sure it was up to standard. There is no 'hard sell' - just helpful recommendations and expert advice. I will always be coming to K2 for my trekking needs and can not recommend them any more highly.

After a considerable amount of research into sun hoodies I decided to purchase the Outdoor Research Women's Echo. I struggle with overheating while out hiking (QLD hikes mainly) and usually end up wearing a light singlet which provides no protection. I was pleasantly surprised on our overnight hike this weekend with the Echo sun shirt. It was lighter than most of the hiking shirts I wear and let the breeze flow through. It was pretty warm on Sunday in particular (27'-30') and it performed well keeping me covered and cool. I know it is not SPF 50 but to be honest I can't wear them I get too hot. I purchased the teal which is SPF 20 and wore it on both days.

K2 is always the store I go to if I am searching for outdoor equipment - local reputation! Fair price, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The online platform is also running well with in time response! Highly recommended!
