Northwich store, top place!

Such a great experience every time we visit here. Staff are super friendly and super helpful even if it's just a general query you have got. Really can't recommend the Northwich branch enough. Worth a trip out there as they have a great cafe their too.

I needed a stop/tail light for my Honda…

I needed a stop/tail light for my Honda CBR600fi, shouldn't be a problem there is a J&S as they are known about 10 miles away, so I rode there and took my old bulb with me to show for comparison. "No we don't sell anything like that, sorry" was the response. Luckily Halfords do sell them, but if J&S claim to be all about bikes then they're a joke, what they're really all about selling expensive motorcycle clothing, I won't use them ever again.

The prices are reasonable

The prices are reasonable, you will find cheaper elsewhere but it's nice to be able to try things on before u buy and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Hate buying online, yes it's cheaper, but it's a nightmare sending things back when it's not right. Much easier to try before u buy

Brought this helmet at the Manchester…

Brought this helmet at the Manchester store, looked for a different visor the next day and found the same helmet £35 cheaper, rang Manchester store and asked for price match. but that’s only before you Purchase items , Also told unable to refund as that’s their policy. Helmet has all the tags and still in box. Policy is 14 days return but feel robbed. Please check online before purchasing at these stores.

Rubbish returns policy and poor staff

Went in originally to buy some new Leathers. Decent experience so I returned and bought some bobbins, gloves and other bits.

Despite following the advice in store, the bobbins didn’t fit. Gloves also not suitable.

I returned to the store to swap for a visor and a partial refund to be told they don’t offer refunds for in store purchases. News to me! Especially when I only needed a return as I’d followed a staff member’s advice.

Questioned this and received a very aggressive, condescending response from the person serving who was then ushered away by I assume, the Manager.

Offered a credit note which will probably remain unspent. Having spent over £500 in that first visit, they’ve now lost me as a Customer over £18. Will leave their questionable policies and jumped up staff to it, whilst I keep spending my money at decent retailers.

Reading other reviews, looks like they’ve not the best reputation anyway.

I purchased a helmet from the…Nottingham branch

I purchased a helmet from the Nottingham branch, when home I was a little upset to find the bag didn’t match the helmet make, no manual, the helmet was off the display, so I inspected it found a slight catch in the lining,probably of no detriment, I took the helmet back, the following day, customer service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, they immediately ordered one to be sent direct to me, I found this so refreshing in this day and age, I have nothing but praise for the staff.

Excellent service.

I purchased a 2020 Kawasaki Z900RS from the Doncaster branch on 18/01/22. Brian and John saw me on the three occasions I visited the branch to view the bike and sort out some details prior to the purchase. Both Brian and John were pleasant and professional throughout. Brian finalised the deal and took care of all the detail was thoroughly enjoyable to talk to and share life experiences with. My words really do not do justice to the time and service provided.

Went to hangerlane store purchased a…

Went to hangerlane store purchased a ghost camera took it home charged it then used it for the first time did not work (camera was not cheap £300) soo took it back and asked for a refund and i was told i would never get my money back. Was told they would send for repair after nearly a month i went to the shop to find out what was happening to be told they had not sent away. They were arrogant and rude and very condescending.
They do not tell you at time of purchase that there is no refunds.
Please if you have any sence do do not go any where near J&S.
I do think trading standards need to be informed about these practices.
As a new person to biking it is disgusting that people are being ripped off by these people.
I was given a new camera and when i picked it up the box had been kicked around the floor and i the camera may not work. And again rude, arrogant and condescending.
Save yourself time and stress and go to better shops or online.

I WILL NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN.

Missold me and then refused to provide a refund

Went to the Maidstone store as I am learning to ride and needed some basic gear.
I asked for some help and made it clear I this was all totally new to me but that I needed a waterproof jacket, armoured trousers, helmet and gloves.
The guy who helped was nice enough and I walked out with over £700 of kit.
I then learned the jacket wasn't waterproof and bought an alternative online.
Going back to the store to return the mis-sold jacket, I was informed they 'don't do refunds' unless the jacket was faulty and wouldn't hear the fact that I was missold.
Refused outright to give me a refund and would only exchange or provide a credit note.
At no time was this policy EVER explained and I made it clear as day I had never shopped there before since I was brand new to it all.
Safe to say I will never be giving J&S my custom ever again.
Please contact me J&S to explain why this is your policy and attitude!

Brilliant store, Lousy Website!!

Nothing to do with J&S as such, as they are a brilliant store with quality stuff and brilliant prices, but the website is a total pain. If you are paging through a selection, then choose to look at something, you cannot get back to where you had reached on the search, but rather end up right back to the start of the search, and have to scroll and page to where you were. It will drive you mad!!

New helmet purchase

Went into the Plymouth store to buy a helmet. Very helpful staff. They had all available sizes in the makes I wanted to try. Settled on an Arai Quantic. Didn’t get the best demonstration on fitting a Pinlock, however they have a good tutorial on line. Bottom line was good help in a local store and they price matched the best online price during Black Friday promotion so very happy.

Just wanted to say yet another bug…

Just wanted to say yet another big thank you to the staff at j and s plymouth. I literally walked in knowing what I was after and came out with everything I needed. Allowed to try on textiles and jackets etc without hassle or hesitation. All sorted. Then back in today 18/11/2021 to pick up another few things and got everything I needed within 5 mins and made to feel very welcome. If you need anything bike related then go see the lads and staff at j and s plymouth. You won't be disappointed. 5 star +

Avoid expensive purchases or get stung

In store help was good.BUT the whole returns policy is a shower of proverbial.

Bought a jacket, got home and decided it was a touch too small with my thermals on. Cant get a bigger size until march, so asked to get a different brand in a big size…. They wont order a single item!? Even though I'm paying for it and its instock at the suppliers!?

Only credit note me for a product which they cannot provide!?..

Baffling.. will certainly not buy anything expensive from them again.

Sent the wrong size and they was adamant it wasn’t their mistake so I had to pay for return postage. I phoned them to discuss their error but did not help in any way. Never buying from them again.

Price match is a lie!!!

Tossers, there price match is bol*ocks. Here is what they so proudly state on there website.!!!!

We pride ourselves on our competitive prices as we want you to have the best deals from the biggest brands in motorcycle clothing, helmets, boots, gloves and accessories.

Here at J&S Accessories we promise to match the price you'd pay against any other motorcycle clothing retailers.

There is a list of retailers they claim they beat which had Infinity Motorcycles within it. So I took a trip out in the search of a full rukka suit helmet and boots for my wife. Infinity had a sale on and j and s had the same product on the shelf, great stuff. Took to the counter. proved it could be purchased from them same model and size. And low and behold we can't match that price. We'll that's not what your website states some price match promise eh!!! Reason given was we'd lose money on it. So your happy with all the profit but if one item goes under the threshold you can't match it.

Well you could say that about every item in the shop and never price match at all. So really it's null and void. I took my business elsewhere and got a price match easy enough from another retailer where I spent 2k

J and S sucks & I won't be back .....

No point in supporting local businesses

Went on line and saw they had a helmet HJC i30 that I wanted - all sizes available so I went to the shop in Leyton, E10 6AW and asked the sales assistant. He said not available in store but could get it in from supplier. What size was I? I said M or L and I would want to try before I buy. He said yes but wanted a deposit. I said why should I pay a deposit to try a helmet for size - other bike shops don't charge a deposit. He checked with manager who insisted a deposit was required. So I walked out. I would have bought a comm system too so they lost a good sale and a future customer. No point in supporting local businesses when they have policies like that. I wouldn't recommend them.

Great store in Northwich popped in…

Great store in Northwich popped in today to see about intercom for my helmet, the guy on the Helmet counter was very helpful, went through a number of options and prices, i picked one he asked did i want it fitting which i did, all done within 20 mins.
Defiantly will use this store again

The Doncaster store have always been excellent.

This is the Doncaster store. I have bought 6 motorcycles and most of my bike gear from the Doncaster shop over several years. First Class service. Excellent honest people to deal with. Brian and John in motorcycle sales have always been splendid,also Tanya in the clothing section is always very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
