Following failed negotiations where the sellers refused to reduce the price once necessary work was highlighted by our survey, the agents relisted the property for £5k more, despite our survey showing over £8.5k of essential work was needed. Even after we pointed out (with evidence from the property information forms) that the boiler and rewire were advertised as being done almost five years later than they actually were, the listing was never corrected. Very misleading and not a buyer‑friendly experience at all.

I recently sold my home in Holybourne through Homes Alton. Rob and the team were brilliant from start to finish.

Abbie was very helpful and professional relaying information to me and helping the chain come together, nothing was too much trouble for her.

I would highly recommend anyone thinking of buying or selling their house to use Homes.

Our home was up for sale with Home for 10 months and we received 2 viewings. No contact in between, no discussions or advice on what we should try. It's very clear they over value to win your business then forget all about you. We have been with our new agents for 24 hours and already have 2 viewings with amazing communication and lovely staff! The highest valuation is not always the best option, just look at their sold percentage, not how many they have on the market!

EDITED FOLLOWING RESPONSE FROM HOME.... 2 viewings in 10 months, you never spoke to us regarding reducing the price as we could, and obviously we now have, we could never get feedback from anyone in the office they didn't even know who we were when we called. Also for the most recent viewing (the day we left you, so yes a total of 3 but again after 10 months) it took you almost 2 weeks to set it up and the couple that came said they had been told from you that we were taking if off the market as we couldn't sell it! most unprofessional!

Liars pest poisoning couple dangerous people

I was a tenant with them for 1,5 years and the service from beginning to the end was very good.
Whenever we had an issue due to fair wear and tear, Lorraine was always very responsive to communicate with the Landlord and coming back with updates. I would rent another flat with them definitely.
The only bit we had a misunderstanding was in the 'end of contract' , with a misunderstanding of the 2 months notice (notice that we gave), however they reconsidered and proceeded as the contract mentioned.

I am very close to completing a purchase through Home Estate Agents and I have had nothing but a positive experience with them. When any issues or problems have cropped up they have been nothing but supportive, friendly and helpful. Any time I have phoned up or emailed I am without question greeted with a friendly hello by one of the team, they really add such a personal touch to the process and have made it so much easier for me as a first time buyer. If I decide to sell one day, or need to recommend an agency this will be my first choice/suggestion! Truly the best customer service and experience I have come across anywhere not just in the property market! Everyone of the team is just amazing, I can’t thank them enough.

I must say how disappointed I am with your service during this sale. I was informed at the start of the sale back at the end of January that the buyer had purchased several properties from you and was a cash buyer and that it should go through quickly. We are now in May and it has only just completed.

The buyer of course was not a cash buyer but had a mortgage. Despite this I have not received any feedback from your company as the sale progressed. No information regarding the current position or any updates from their solicitor. I have made endless phone calls initiating contact attempting to find out why this process was taking so long.

Even at the end of the process every time I rang your staff simply mentioned the issue of the extra land at the rear of the property. This issue was addressed by my solicitor with a statutory declaration of adverse possession of land. Including a standard Insurance policy for legal expenses. This was completed in 3 hours yet your staff seemed unable to understand the basic principles of law or conveyance involved.

In this process You advised me that we were near completion when in fact we were not and I asked the tenant to leave for vacant possession. We were still 7 weeks from completion giving me a months loss in rent and the need to pay 2 months council tax.

You can consider yourselves lucky that I have paid your fee in full as my solicitor advised me that I could and should have withheld some of the fee in dispute for my need;less losses. I will of course not be using your company to sell the other houses in my portfolio and will be leaving negative feedback online for other sellers to view.
