Voici mon expèrience :
En 2025 j'installe l'app. Grass est rempli de promesses. Mais la plus interessente était celle de se faire un peu d'argent en faisant don de sa bande passante internet non utilisée.
Résultat :
J'ai une connexion exceptionnelle 6500 Mbps Down, 6200 Mbps Up en moyenne.
En 1 an et demi, j'ai donc gentillement give un peu de ma bande passante non allouée à Grass & ses belles promesses en contre partie d'un petit quelque chose.
Je ne m'attendais pas à ce qu'au bout d'un an & demi, cela ne me rapporte que 5.48$ dont 0.34$ retiré pour les "taxes network 🤣". Soit 0.28ct/mois alors que j'ai parfois laisser mon PC tourner pour farmer un peu ! (j'imagine même pas ceux qui etteignaient leur PC tout les soirs...)
Quel magnifique arnaque bien ficelée ! Ils vous diront "il faut laisser tourner en fond sans s'en occuper, personne n'est obligé de le faire". Mais il y a un an & demi ce n'étais pas la même musique !
Bref ne pensez même pas que cette app puisse vous être utile ! Elle ne sert à rien.
Merci Grass pour les deux cafés gratuits sur 18 mois x).

They are determined by multiple factors, including eligible network contribution during the earning period, bandwidth demand, connection quality, uptime consistency, and other program eligibility criteria. As a result, users with similar uptime or connection speeds may receive different rewards.

After year of using it feels like scam
First season had 300M distributed for users. Second season should have been even better but it was 3M distributed on 6million users..
In middle of season they changed points system. All the time i was using it i felt safely problems..
And then they say that your info is not shared to other company should we trust them? They said usdc will be rewarded fot grass point. And later just changed the rules so yea i think its a lie

If I recall Grass rewarded 2m+ users with 100m Grass tokens which around the time of distribution was an estimated value of $300m. Also, Grass does not share your information with anyone else because Grass does not have your information to share. The only things Grass captures are credentials for your account when you create a Grass account. When it comes to bandwidth sharing Grass has nothing to do with your personal data in any way. Grass is simply using your IP address to route public web traffic for web scraping. If you are concerned about privacy or security I would highly recommend checking out the Grass privacy policy ------>

They are calculated using multiple factors, including eligible network contribution during the earning period, the amount of bandwidth shared, connection quality, uptime consistency, and other program eligibility criteria. Because of this, two users with similar runtimes can receive different reward amounts.

FYI, Grass is NOT mining. Grass does not use your hardware to mine tokens or anything like that. Your bandwidth has been a resource that you have been paying for but don't use all of, so Grass helps you put that to use.
Before Grass came along, companies have been using your bandwidth without your knowledge and not paying you anything! So although getting $12 may seem disappointing, the alternative to not running Grass is getting $0!
Because we dont use all of our bandwidth and the Grass app running in the background of your device, it's really a win-win to participate!

Grass does not sell your data. Grass is using your idle bandwidth to route public web requests! Grass is then using that scraped data on the public web to help train AI models!
The reality is, Grass is actually providing value for something big companies are already taking from your internet via sdk's (via free screensavers, apps, etc) without rewarding you for it!

I might be misunderstanding your feedback when you say "bait and switch". Grass has always been about simply running the app on your device and getting rewarded for it.
If you weren't thrilled about your allocation I can make some suggestions to boost that for the next time. The best thing you can do is make sure your app(s) are up to date and that you have a strong reliable connection for Grass to use!

Thieves of the data so What can I say about this company….
What can I say about this company….. of yea stay away run fast as you can. On first air drop I got around $120 and that was for 158k points well I decided to add to android phones to my phone plan figuring it would pay it self mining grass with 4 devices. Boy I was wrong !! Half way thru season 2 they changed the rules changed up payment, to some other points, so that is showing right there they stole data for over a year because we did not earn diamond network points they changed to. I am really thinking about getting people together and seeking class action lawsuit. Stole my data well half and not payed!!! I was major person backing you guys while people complained and told them you will be glad when get second air drop, boy I was wrong j should have uninstalled and tell as many people as possible on X and Facebook. Paying people between .01-40.00 that’s a crime.
Bro stop lieing down there , you use our bandwidth and data. And nothing changes, only certain people cough cough get all those points that’s needed. How the hell you go from making $100 + on first air drop and that was only few months plugged up with yall and also you copy and paste reply’s, saying same lie over and over and over, so why don’t yall show us what we earned at the start of epoch 11. Totally understand the frustration with not getting a higher allocation. For context, The Grass Foundation rewarded $3m USDC to about 6.2m users so there was quite a bit of folks to reward!
Most importantly though, Grass does not steal your data or have any part of your personal data. When users sign up for Grass they agree to let Grass use their idle bandwidth to help route public web requests. Network points were introduced in Epoch 11 to represent the actual usage of your bandwidth by the network.
If you did not receive that many Network points it may be due to either not having the app(s) up to date and or not having a stable connection for Grass to use.

In the Grass server the community talks about Grass, not other projects/businesses that are not related. The two names you mentioned do not run the server or have anything to do with the Grass team.

Just wanted to clarify a few things if thats cool.
1. Grass rewards users at the end of stages (stage 2 will be rewarded July 22)
2. Grass has already communicated that users will be using a new wallet to claim your rewards which will be built right into your dashboard experience
3. Users who are in the discord community agreed to following the rules of the server upon joining. Talking about other projects/promoting projects is one of those rules. If you do not follow the rules set in the server then youll likely be removed.

I understand you ran the app 24/7 but running the app is not an obligation; it's designed to run in the background of your device as you use it. Getting something in return for your unused bandwidth is great considering before Grass your bandwidth was being used by companies without your permission and not rewarding your anything for it!

Im not sure what you are referring to? Users who contribute their Internet bandwidth by running the app get rewarded for doing so. Stage 1 users received Grass tokens and stage 2 (claim July 22!) will be in USDC.
If you did not receive the allocation that you were hoping for it may be because your bandwidth was not being utilized by Grass. The best way to ensure you get the most rewards is to ensure you have your app up to date and also maintain a strong reliable connection whenever you are using your device!

I’ve been running Grass for over a year…
I’ve been running Grass for over a year (368 days active) across 20 different devices and computers, keeping their network alive. I just checked my locked stats for the Stage 2 snapshot, and my estimated allocation is a pathetic $17.05 USDC.
Let that sink in. Over 5.13 MILLION Uptime Points were calculated at a ridiculous rate of $0.00000007 per point, rendering a whole year of electricity, battery wear, and network maintenance completely worthless (around 36 cents for the uptime).
Meanwhile, in their recent H1 2026 call, the team is bragging about making $17-18 million in revenue for the first half of 2026 alone, and projecting up to $75 million for the full year. They are rolling in cash from AI labs, but they only distributed a tiny $3 million pool among 6.29 million users. To make it worse, they openly admitted that they rerouted 90% of the traffic to just 150k specific users, leaving the rest of us running our hardware on empty gear for zero rewards.
They completely changed the rules in the middle of the game. They used our free electricity and internet to scale their multi-million dollar business, and now they throw us pennies.
I am claiming my $17 on July 22nd just to take whatever I can from them, and then I am deleting this trash app from all 20 devices. Do not waste your time, your hardware, and your electricity on this project. They graduated from "subsidized growth" straight into exploiting their community.

1. You investing in additional hardware and resources to run Grass was never recommended (considering you had no idea what rewards you were going to get). Grass is designed to be run on the device you use daily, taking advantage of resources you are already paying for but not using all of
2. There was no change in "rules" during stage 2. Network points were introduced during epoch 11 to reflect to actual usage of users bandwidth to power web requests for the Grass network. The "rules" were always to run the app and keep things up to date.

I see you were an early contributor for Stage 1 and appeared to make out quite well! For stage 2 Grass saw a pretty significant influx in users (about 6.2m) so that may explain why you got less than last time.
Network points were the main driver for getting an allocation so if you didnt get many of those, thats likely why. The best way you can ensure you get those points would be to turn off any VPN, make sure your app(s) are up to date, and ensuring you have a stable internet connection for Grass to use!

After 2 years of lets the app run in background for free, and what they give/payback us is diabolical unbelievable. 572 days, 2 devices, 1.74M uptime points — $5.36 allocation. Years of uptime, bandwidth, and electricity costs for what amounts to pocket change while the leaderboard shows a handful of accounts pulling thousands.

Users were rewarded fairly based on their contributions to the network. If you did get much of a reward it's likely due to not getting many network points. This can happen because of your app(s) not being up to date or not having a stable enough connection for Grass to use!
