I used to go to Firestone in Trexlertown for 15 years ago and they were great, but the service has steadily declined. I switched to the Allentown store (1406), and both times they spent the first 45 minutes trying to find additional problems with my car instead of addressing the service I came in for.

On my first visit, I asked for a tire rotation and did allow them to do other work. After paying, I realized the tires hadn’t been rotated. When I asked, they insisted they had—until I pointed out that they clearly hadn’t, and I had to return to get it done.

Recently I went in for a simple tire plug. Again, they tried to push nearly $2,000 in additional work. I declined and just asked them to fix the tire and add air to all the tires. They told me it was done, but when I started my car the low tire light was still on. When asked, was told they did, and the light would off once I started driving. My car doesn't work that way. Never went away. I ended up filling the tires myself at Wawa and the light immediately went off.

Unfortunately, I no longer trust that the repairs they recommend are necessary nor do I trust their work. It feels like they’re more focused on upselling than doing the job customers actually come in for.

My car was making a noise

My car was making a noise, so I took it to the Pekin, IL, location. I couldn't have asked for better service and professionalism from the front desk to the mechanics, and they found the problem and fixed my car. The prices were terrific, and the service was speedy and affordable. What I loved was how helpful the staff was, and how Michelle Jackson at the front desk greeted us and went above and beyond to help me, and how Firestone cared about my car; it wasn't about just the money, they wanted me to have a safe vehicle. It was such a great experience. This is my go-to place for my car, and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

My fifth time at this location
Today Mark and his team checked all the boxes and beyond for a 5 stars service experience
These areas are
1) Respect to customers
2) Kind and a high level of courtesy on the phone
My wife commented about Marks phone ethics as a very nice respectful man.
3) Customer satisfaction. Always advises the customer of all issues and nothing hidden
4) Professionalism. Very consistent positive attitude with complete honesty
Please promote or provide a pay raise immediately.

Firestone car service ruined my Car

Firestone car service ruined my Car; I went in for oil change plus filters. The mechanic heard a noise in the front of my vehicle, and I told me I needed to have differential fluids added. I went on a trip that weekend and returned back to Firestone and told them the noise was louder and very embarrassing the solution from them was " I hadn't driven it far enough for the fluids to circulate thru the engine. Now I have a $ 4000 transmission repair bill! I will sue this company for the cost of a new transmission, plus the months of rental car charges, and mental distress of not having my car to drive. I have been told by numerous others of the damages Firestone has done to many, many other customers vehicles! I have hired an Attorney to get reimbursement for the charges I have paid.

Keep your eye on the financial ball, ask questions and verify before paying.

What you should know. I have been a very long-time dedicated customer of Firestone from when I lived in Los Angeles many years ago. Since my move to the Orange County area, the following facility started out pretty good, but went downhill over time. Be on your guard. I was once charged for a cabin filter replacement there, but my car doesn't have one. oops! They took it off the bill when I pointed it out.

Store #017523, located on 24421 Rockfield Blvd. Lake Forest, CA 92630. Be advised:
It can, and does at times turn into a shell game. I knew the Store Manager before he became the Invisible Man. He disappears from the store before customers begin to arrive by 9 AM. But, before 9AM he spends about an hour early in the morning putting out fires from the day before, then "poof," he's gone.
Apparently, the Service Advisers understand this and ask that you arrive at 9 AM. I've yet to contact Corporate to inform them of this, which is opposite of the Company's Customer Service Mission Statement.

One of the service advisers whose name begins with Mic****, is a double-talker, and appears to think you really don't have a right to question him. He too, manages to disappear from sight if you wait at the facility for the repairs to be done, and have questions he prefers not to answer. However, I found Kenneth (Service Adviser) to be on the up-and-up. He listened, and responded in the positive rather than the blather I got from others there.

I swore off of this place from the bad experience I had there some years ago. But the fact that the Company offers great Warranties for service, and discounts, drew me back to this facility, because they are closest to my location, and I have a Firestone Master Credit Card through CFNA, which is interest free for 6 months if paid off before the period ends.

But lesson learned. This is the last time. I'll either take the car to a different Firestone Store, or eat the extra money I spent for the lifetime alignment warranty. Small price to pay, and keeping it local to folks who treat customers with respect.

In all fairness, in the end after some wrestling over incorrectly ordering of parts (of which I had and offered them up, but was denied), the part they used failed, yet they put the car out for pick-up and got paid.

Ultimately, thanks to Kenneth, it was caught before driving the car off the lot. They refunded the cost of the wrong part a few days later, but ended up using my part after all--on the same day of my visit.

The second part needed was the blend door actuator for the A/C system. I also had that part. They supposedly did the job using a part they ordered. However, after driving the car in warm weather soon after the repair, warm air once again blowing from the cold setting. Not going back to that facility. I'll take it to my local mechanic to get it done right.

I hope this helps even just one person avoid the perils I had to endure, not once, but several times over a period of time.

One more note. The rebate on tires takes about three months to receive, after jumping through a series of hoops in the interim.

Title: Misleading Practices and Damaging Credit Checks – Stay Away from Fairstone!

I am extremely disappointed with Fairstone and their misleading loan process. They constantly send out emails and letters offering to “upgrade” your loan, promising it’s quick and easy to do online — in just a few minutes, they say. But here’s the truth: every time you try to follow through, they run a hard credit check, which hurts your credit score, and then tell you that you must visit a branch in person to continue.

What kind of “online process” is that? If I wanted to apply, see the actual interest rate offered, and decide whether to accept — all from the comfort of my home — that should be possible. But instead, Fairstone uses deceptive marketing to bait you in, damages your credit with unnecessary checks, and then refuses to finalize the process unless you come to their office.

To make matters worse, they’re offering loans with outrageous interest rates of 30.99% — borderline predatory! The least they could do is make the process honest and fully online as advertised. If they want to lend money at such absurd rates, maybe they should drive to my house and complete the paperwork themselves!

Fairstone, stop misleading customers. Your practices are not just frustrating — they’re unethical.

Trustworthy

I have been going to the Durango Firestone in west Las Vegas for five years, for our various family cars. Service is detailed, summaries are explicit and follow-ups are reliable. If they are unable to address any unique issue, they give clear explainations and referrals. I will continue to use Firestone services.

Disappointed in this store!!!!!

I took my car to a Firestone auto in Bloomington, MN! I usually have good experiences with this particular shop, in which I have used them several times in the past! Anyway I took my car in for repairs about two weeks ago because I heard something rattling underneath my car like something had broke! Mind you I paid for a Complete Auto inspection for $21! So I could see what was going on and if there was anything else I may have needed done! I ended up needing struts and something else which total came to more than $1300 ! So after a couple days i noticed a sound again that wasn’t there before I took my car in! This time it’s sounding worst than it did before I took it in to them the first time, when I paid for a complete inspection of my whole vehicle I thought! Well I took car back and told them I am getting noise that I wasn’t hearing when I bought my car to you guys the first time! I told them I need you to check your work because my car wasn’t making any noise like that before I bought my car in here!!! So they took it in to check it, now I am sitting in lobby for about two hours and looks like no one is even looking or checking my car it. So I decide to take a walk because I was getting upset that no one was telling me anything out looking at my car. I got about a block down then they decide to call me all of a sudden to tell me I needed ball joints they didn’t tell me when I had the so called complete inspection they performed the first time I was there just a week before! The thing they didn’t know was I had just had my inner and outer ball joints changed not even a full year ago! I know ball joints don’t go out that fast at all!!! Then the kicker is they tried to charge me another $21 for a COMPLETE INSPECTION AGAIN! But didn’t discuss that with me when I first bought my car in 2 hours ago! Very disappointed in this Firestone!

Disappointing Experience

Disappointing Experience — Damaged Rim During Tire Service, No Follow-Up Without Public Pressure

I went to Firestone in Hudson, OH to have all four tires replaced (Work Order #100603), and when I got my car back, there was a fresh, visible scratch on one of my rims — damage that absolutely was not there before service. I inspect and maintain my vehicle carefully, and this clearly appeared to be from a tire machine mishap, not curb rash.

When I raised the issue with the store manager, I was told it was “old damage.” I was also questioned about whether I brought my car to that location, and my follow-up calls were ignored. I then emailed Firestone’s corporate social care team — as requested — and received no response until I publicly updated my Google review again. Only then did I get a follow-up.

This made it clear to me that Firestone’s corporate team is more responsive to public reputation risk than to actual customer concerns. I’ve requested that someone beyond the store level handle this going forward. Still waiting on a proper resolution.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability and customer care shown both locally and at the corporate level.

The old “too close to the side wall” trick

Our son took in the car while he was at college because of a slow leak in the tire. We could’ve called it ahead of time that there was going to be a nail too close to the side wall to repair the flat with our son out of state, we of course, have no choice, but to buy a new tire on a set that is less than a year old. It’s the oldest trick in the book. I just can’t believe they would try to pull it on a college student.

They push their Firestone Credit Card and you later find out their interest rate is a staggering THIRTY FIVE % !!!
Sorry, I can’t do business with loan sharks and can no longer trust their honesty and integrity.

I had an issue with my daughters car

I had an issue with my daughters car, I called Mike at Firestone and he told me bring it in. They took care of my care while I waited. My hats off to them for fixing it promptly and I can tell you they have skills. Thanks to the Firestone team at Wilkes Barre Pa.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! I took my vehicle in for routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation/alignment, and coolant flush) and they totaled my engine. Their claims team has been a nightmare to work with. My vehicle had never been in a wreck, has had all routine maintenance, and has never had any mechanical issues, but the only replacement engine they are offering is a refurbished engine. This is not comparable to my engine, that they totaled, which had again, never been in a wreck. The claims agent has been condescending and threatening the entire time I have worked with him. He is attempting to rush my decision to request a re-manufactured engine by giving me one business day to resolve before they stop paying for my rental car (an economy sedan as a replacement for my 4WD SUV). They do not work in good faith to rectify their mistakes. There has been no mention of compensating me for the routine maintenance that their team messed up. I did get a coupon for my next oil change free - as if I'd ever return after this.

Well I took my car to Firestone…

Well I took my car to Firestone Lexington. I had an appointment at 7am but told my car was getting a diagnostic test no one was available until 10am. They told me my car was low on oil so I got an oil change and tire rotation with a balance. They also told me I needed a battery cause my battery was not performing to there standards. The next day my car had to go to Kia for two recalls and they did an inspection and said there was nothing wrong with my battery. I think being a woman is where they tried to cheat me. Won't be going back to them. I only went there cause my warranty said I had to go there.

Great customer service from management and the skilled technicians in a clean and friendly environment. I came here following a bad experience with a competitor and couldn’t be happier with my visit and will certainly return for my car care.
