I wanted an easy to fasten watch. Assistant knew just what would suit me. I am very pleased. It was half price on offer which was even better.

This is the worse company, brought a £900 ring wire it 4 times and a stone fell out, this tells you a lot about a company, especially when they admit it is a manufacturing fault with the ring, and they won’t give you a refund but a gift card is what they want to give, be aware be very aware of this company, F Hinds , see you in court .

Extremely helpful, very friendly, and helped me as much as possible when I was a jittery mess. Also very considerate as I wasn't as prepared as I expected. Absolutely lovely experience from the moment I walked through the door. 10/10 would recommend. Thank You all at F-Hinds Yeovil.

The staff at the letchworth branch were wonderful. The two ladies were friendly, professional and informative. I went in for a new battery for my mother’s watch and the lady cleaned the watch for me too. She also discussed another item I was thinking of buying and she was so helpful. I went in for a memorial ring with my mother's birthstone. The assistant knew which one I wanted from my brief description and through pure luck the ring on display was in my size .
I became quite emotional and the two ladies behind the counter were both very kind and understanding

Went into the Torquay store on 27/08/2026 about my engagement ring.

My now-husband purchased my engagement ring from F. Hinds in 2021 for £1,199. We subsequently purchased my wedding ring from F. Hinds in approximately August 2024 in preparation for our wedding in September 2024.

During this appointment, my engagement ring was taken in for cleaning and re-coating prior to our wedding.
At the beginning of December 2024, less than three months after our wedding and the cleaning/re-coating of the ring, the diamond fell out. The ring was taken to your Torquay store on December 2024 for repair, for which I paid £97. Didn't question it.

Approximately one year and eight months later, the diamond has fallen out again.

When I attended the Torquay store to report the issue, I was met with the immediate assumption that I must have caused the damage myself. The ring was sent to head office and within 2 days of having the ring, it was returned and assumed it was deliberate damage. Without answering my questions about the strength of the gold. I was also told miss information about timescales, which is completely unprofessional.

Customer services have been most unhelpful and very slow at responding.

Will be taking it to an independent jewellers for a second opinion.

Excellent customer service. Especially the Asian lady from High Wycombe branch. She told me that l can go online to get my Swarovski watch diamond fixed. Also, changed the battery for me and checked all the details on the computer system. I had a very good customer service
experience.

I popped in to the Cwmbran branch to get a wedding ring resized, and was pleasantly surprised that it was over £100 cheaper than other quotes I had been given.

Staff were friendly and helpful, patient and indormative, clean welcoming environment.

I purchased a ring for my wife earlier this year to mark my retirement — a meaningful gift after many years of hard work and “making do”. She was absolutely delighted with it, and for a short time we were both thrilled with the purchase.

Unfortunately, within just three months, a stone fell out. This was not due to misuse or accidental damage; it was simply a manufacturing fault. Rather than allowing the store to make a straightforward decision to replace the ring — which would have been the reasonable and customer‑focused approach — we were told it had to be sent away for assessment.

That assessment took eight weeks, followed by a further four weeks for repair. Twelve weeks without the ring, twelve weeks of chasing, and twelve weeks of unnecessary frustration. It is astonishing that a company of this size operates with such rigid, outdated policies that prevent managers from using basic discretion to resolve clear-cut issues quickly and fairly.

The result is a bitter experience with the parent company and a strong sense that F.Hinds needs to rethink how it treats customers. Modern retailers empower their managers to make sensible decisions; this felt like the opposite.

The only saving grace was the manager at Chapelle a subsiduary of Hinds, Cotswolds 414 (near Tewkesbury). She was excellent — supportive, professional, and clearly as frustrated as we were by the limitations placed on her. Had she been given the autonomy to act, this review would have been far more positive.

As it stands, the product failed, the process failed,Hinds customer support failed to understand who the customer is and most importantly the policy failed. A real shame, and not the experience you expect when purchasing a special piece of jewellery.
