Do not use these people. They do not deliver your goods. You cannot contact them and you are left out of pocket. The service is criminal.
Laziness
First of all, I ordered a Pressure washer and it was supposed to come. It gets sent to somewhere a couple of miles away at someone random house, but failed, and delivered a card instead, TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. I tried to contact customer service and use WhatsApp to contact them, all gave me the same answer, enter delivery code then Delivery attempted. No real Human to talk too, terrible customer service. The Pressure washer weighed a bit heavy around 20kg, I suppose the driver was lazy and decided to fake deliver it and hopefully give the parcel to someone else to deliver it.
Unacceptable behaviour and terrible customer service, I still don't understand how they are kept in business.
DHL couldn't deliver a drink in a pub
In short DHL couldn't deliver a drink in a pub. Not only are they completely useless, they do not even care. My dad tried to send us something that he routinely sends us; this time the company used DHL - first they couldn't find my block even though the postcode is specficially assigned to that block; next they 'successfully' delivered it to a shop for collection, even though they were supposed to deliver it to my address, and on top of that refused to tell me where because my name is not on the box. That is not delivering something, that is abandoning it. This is not the first time we've had problems with DHL and given we hardly ever order anything, they are currently running at 100% fail rate.
No customer service agents
No customer service agents. Had delivery, they said I was not in....I am in, just door to flat is down some stairs.....there is nowhere to add delivery instructions and have just wasted an hour trying to find a human to speak to....impossible.......horrible company

I got a confirmation email stating that they had received a parcel for me and will deliver on the Friday just gone. The day before then, the status of delivery had changed to delayed with no reason whatsoever and that they would aim to deliver the next working day. I’ve currently not received my parcel and attempted to contact them to get an update but I was unable to speak to an actual person, the only options are an automated phone system that said they have not received the parcel and a WhatsApp messaging system that says the same. It’s one thing having tracking confirmation saying they have the parcel and delivery is delayed while automated systems are contradicting that but it’s another thing to be unable to speak to an actual representative to look into this issue. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and if any dhl e-commerce employee is reading this I would like to raise an official complaint about this.

SCAM Company
SCAM Company, booked a collection didnt collect no way to speak to a human. No where to complain or ask for a refund. Please do not book with them. you will waste so much time trying to get anywhere!

They tried to Deliver to a new housing estate where the house is being built… and claimed no access to deliver… no surprise it’s not my house wrong postcode, street and address… so I re organised it to be delivered to the DHL collection point shop which is open till late.. well no surprise cannot be delivered as no access to deliver.. even to their own collection point!, no one to contact and yes I really tried… so appalling I cannot believe… I will go to order the item from somewhere else as I am unlikely to ever get it via DHL…
Awful!! ZERO customer service
There is ZERO customer service. Every time you phone a number, it just cuts you off and none of the options allows you to speak to a human.
Driver didn't ring the door when we were in waiting and also didn't leave a card. we have redirected to a local depot but don't know if not having a card will hinder our collection. SO FRUSTRATING!!!
Supposed to delivery Saturday 18th…
Supposed to delivery Saturday 18th April but i got a text say it would be today between 9.40-10.40am. Brother took an morning off work to take package as its a bike so pretty heavy. Still waiting at 1pm when he had to go. DHL dont have any way of conacting a human, their tracking system was disabled so no idea where it is and the automated messages state it WILL be delivered before 10.40am. Absolutely disgusting company, i will be telling the seller im cancelling my order and to get it of this joke company themselves. They couldnt delivery a cup of tea never mind a parcel. Embarrassing service that has cost my family money and still no delivery
Edit: they claimed they tried to deliver at 2pm. It was raining heavily and zero attempts were shown of anyone near my front door on my camera. They lie and refuse to do the one job asked of them. Avoid at all costs
Incompetence of the highest order
I was expecting a parcel since 2nd of April and it hasn’t been delivered as of this writing. I understand that delays are a part of this business but what grinds my gear is that their drivers are a bunch of liars. Unprofessionalism at its finest. On one occasion during a failed delivery their tracking system said that “there was no one to receive the parcel”—however, I waited at the delivery address for hours waiting for the driver to show up. No calls, no ring at the doorbell. They drive around, sit in their vans, and wait till it’s time to clock out.

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a bike online on 18 March. DHL collected it on 20 March and never once tried to deliver it. It somehow ended up getting lost at a depot so we arranged a refund with the supplier and bought a bike elsewhere. Lo and behold a mere 20 days after they collected it, they delivered it to my home, 2 hours after the end of the one hour window and left a £1,500 bike sitting on the driveway in full view of passers by and without obtaining a signature. I am now trying to get them to collect it, but that is proving just as difficult as they cannot seem to be bothered to actually turn up when they say they will. It’s not like I have a life and I enjoy sitting around for hours on end waiting for a driver who fails to turn up. On top of this, we can’t get our refund until the bike has been collected.

Disgusting service. DHL i supposed to be a premium courier service. their system is full of drivers that steal packages and claim it is lost or absolutely destroy the content. Scam of a company.

3 days and still no sign of a pick up, I have been waiting for a pickup though transglobal express, no emails and no contact or pick up, DHL used to be a great company, not sure what's gone on at the Exeter depo, needs to be looked into, this is not the first time iv'e had issues with DHL Exeter in the last 6 months, where drivers say they tried to pick up or deliver, only to be caught out on sat nav and CCTV as liars. If you are a business and want it to run smooth, I do not recommend DHL and you are far Beter using a service like FedEx, I will make sure that anyone ships to us Boycott DHL for sending our shipments. DHL I kindly ask you to look into the management at the Exeter branch or you will lose more customers.

Parcel delivered to wrong address
Parcel - heavy chest of drawers was delivered to the completely wrong address with the tracking saying that it was signed by me - it wasn't. After calling the company they told me that it was delivered to a neighbour and the address it was delivered to, after driving half a mile to the address it wasn't delivered there, we found the parcel by accident checking every address on the road, when asked the owner confirmed that he hadn't signed for or was even aware of the parcel. We stayed in all day awaiting for this delivery and no one tried to deliver to us !!
Delivery note contained false information
A case of wine was to be delivered today. I always give instructions to leave any parcel at the back of the house if I am not at home.
I was out when it was delivered and I got home to find the parcel had been left outside my gate in the road for anyone to take if they wanted to. When I got it inside and read the emailed delivery note, it said that the parcel had been delivered and personally handed to me.
As well as leaving the case in an unsafe place, the delivery driver lied.

Oh dear. Where to begin?
Unacceptable issues experienced with DHL e commerce courier over recent deliveries include...
1. Incomplete delivery of parcels. 4 parcels instead of 5. Not a good use of anyone's time having to contact supplier and wait in many times again the following week in the odd chance a delivery might arrive. Customers can't even achieve satisfactory communication with DHL for enquiries as the phone numbers aren't human contact numbers nor does the company want to take calls from customers. DHL's WhatsApp number was a bot going around in circles that didn't even list 'No' as a selectable response for users to add frustration to failure.
2. Un-necessary double, triple and even quadruple information log entries stating the exact same info on the DHL tracking page making the system look unprofessional and glitchy while not keeping to their sent out text message delivery info.
3. 'Unsuccessful Delivery' attempts that didn't always happen. Sometimes with conflicting times on DHL's own record log. Seems to be a well known driver coping tactic according to online aggregate reviews. Most courier companies drivers will be guilty of doing this at some point to be fair but the cheaper companies' drivers such as DHL e commerce will unsurprisingly be doing more of this type of fly dodging tactic as they presumably get paid less.
4. Attempted deliveries on days not expected (as in too soon) such as can be seen by driver's attempted delivery on Friday 3rd April - when parcels weren't due until Tuesday 7th April. A situation confusingly made worse by me receiving a text message notification coming in mid evening - a text message stating a delivery between 18:48 and 19:48 that probably never occured and was never lodged in the DHL record log as even having happened. The photographed Friday afternoon attempted delivery was inconsistent with the DHL lodged timing also with one part of the log stating an attempted delivery on Friday at 15:03 and another screen stating 16:03. *In short, there was never 3 or 4 attempted deliveries on the same bank holiday Friday. It's only the screenshot of the building's door that proves that the delivery driver even attempted a delivery at all that day never mind 3 attempts.
5. An automatic 'Deliver to your neighbour' message being included on the DHL website. A message that If I had known was a possibility would have horrified me no end as my neighbours are dodgy and that would have been the last anyone would have seen of those parcels in all probability if delivered to my neighbours. Something I would never consent to or advise.
6. Generic claims of DHL drivers leaving a calling card when no calling card was left. But tracking website states this anyway regardless.
7. Appaling online reviews by many , many other people of DHL (DHL e commerce especially). Evri and DHL e commerce are also in some sort of business partnership. Evri, for those needing a recap, are the rebranded name of Hermes. The same Hermes that was arguably the worst courier company of all time. So bad that they had to ditch the name and rebrand as people knew the bad association.
It should also be of note, in case anyone isn't already aware, that DHL, with their Express service for example, is not necessarily the same as DHL e commerce - which can be some local sub contracted dude with an unbranded van who may or may not be a professional courier turning up (or not turning up) as is often the case.
Horrible experience all round and I'm still waiting in for a missing package held by them. I'd give 0 stars if possible.
I’ve been informed that a delivery…
I’ve been informed that a delivery attempt was made and that a card was left stating “sorry we missed you.” In reality, no delivery attempt took place — I was home all day and the tracker showed I was next right up until after 6pm.
It’s clear the driver simply logged off at the end of their shift rather than completing the delivery.
I will collect the parcel myself, but I will also be raising a formal complaint regarding the driver’s inaccurate reporting and failure to attempt delivery.
