Absolutely terrible customer service.
My daughter is supposed to be moving into their accommodation on Saturday ready to start her first year at Uni on Monday and they have told us it won’t be ready.
They have yet to offer alternative accommodation and it is impossible to speak to anyone at CRM.
AVOID this company

I had booked a very expensive unit as nothing else was available near my chosen university. Anytime I tried to contact the property/ call the number no one picked up or replied. They have cancelled my booking for the room and I have been left stranded and once again there is no reply on emails and any calls go straight to voicemail. This is awful customer service. Avoid using this website completely and book through something else if possible!

I have never come across such rude customer service!
We wanted to cancel our booking, no one was answering the phone on the only number they provide. It kept going to Orange answerphone. We left a message, live chats, emails etc. No response! But they answer within minutes when you are booking and taking your money!
We finally spoke to the most rude person I have ever come across called ‘Hannah’ she said it was her private mobile and go away! No it was the number CRMS students gave on the confirmation email. We tried numerous times more, next time she was on holiday, stop calling, then the next she was the manager of Crown place and to phone CRMS?! We were starting to panic that our 14 days would run out and we would be stuck with an unwanted tenancy.
I left a message saying I was going to take this further if I did not get a genuine response from someone, and miraculously she answered and was now the CRMS manager! My daughter was in tears thinking this was a scam and we has lost our money, and she would be stuck staying there now!
‘Hannah’ was extremely rude and abrupt with my daughter and myself. We finally got our booking cancelled and she emailed saying that she had issued the holding deposit refund. We did not receive it and so had to call the number again. Thankfully we got through to someone much nicer, and they said that ‘Hannah’ had now left but she had not issued our refund at all! We are still waiting for the refund.
AVOID CRMS STUDENTS

My son paid a deposit on a flat on results day !
We have tried to contact this company time and time again with a query for over a week !
No one answers the phone , answers emails or reply’s to queries on line !
I would not recommend ! Customer service is extremely poor !!!

Accommodation managers are through and capable with dealing with issues and will be there to help.

Lovely room but terrible customer service.
So glad I moved out so I don't have to deal with these procrastinators anymore.
They do NOT care about the young people living in their buildings and they are the best at ignoring complaints.
Don't even try to email or ring them because nobody ever replies.

My dear daughter has made a deposit nearly a month ago to CRM Students - Bermondsey Element, and although we have left messages, emails, and filled in their online form no one has been in touch.

My daughter is now anxious during a period when she has exams and this is not fair on her.

Haddington Place is the best student accommodation in Edinburgh!!!!!

My son was affected by the late service of grades and was limited in his options. The Leatherworks weren’t ready for students however you could book to reserve a room. With some reservations we did this. However there were significant delays and when finally it was time to move in the accommodation had been thrown together. Work surfaces not fixed, holes, blinds not secured. I could go on. There was not induction or support service into the accommodation no signposting these young vulnerable adults. Nothing. Just a key in an envelope and a sign here. Unfortunately the pretty pictures and promises of community and communal areas, gym etc have not come to fruition and they are basically living on a building site with builders that are acting irresponsibly with language and behaviour that is deplorable.

The level of communication with the management and my son has been disappointing where he has reached out to say that he needs help and is struggling only to be ignored for weeks.

Management knowingly allowing individuals in to the premises that will be providing drugs and gas canisters that are going to be used for illegal activities.

I’m horrified by what I have seen in the internal communal areas. There are no facilities to support these young adults to maintain these areas and there is definitely no monitoring of the spaces.

It is so sad that these young people have been let down like this and in particular set up to fail.

You can’t contact head office it is a Russian number and doesn’t go through. No one responds to complaint s or emails. Because in the manager words they are not responsible or safeguarding. Which apparently means they think they have no responsibilities to due diligence and any responsibilities to welfare

I'm a parent of a student. Don't book student accommodation with CRM. When you move into the room it's filthy and things are broken. When you try to get things fixed (heating) it takes 2 weeks, there are days without hot water, lighting out for over a month in an internal corridor meaning it is pitch black, front door lock broken for weeks, meaning anyone can access the building. When you come to pay your balance their system doesn't work, you tell them about it in advance and they put you into an arrears process anyway. Steer well clear. I feel sorry for some of the staff, they seem to try to do their best to help, but there seems to be wider issues within the company.

Can’t book a room.
Website not working correctly.
Apparently it’s ‘teething problems’ and they’re working on it, but can’t tell me when it will be fixed.
No one I speak to can help.
No one proactive enough to find another way to book rooms.
Head office doesn’t answer phone and I have tried all day and tried every available option in order to speak to someone - none of them lead to anything other than a recorded message.
Dreadful.

I absolutely loved staying in Star Residence. It’s in a wonderful spot in the city, close to everything you need, literally outside the tram stop and only a 10 minute walk from the train station!

The accommodation itself is clean, with nice facilities and a wonderful manager who is incredibly keen on helping the residents with whatever they need and is so kind !!

I definitely recommend for students as it is such a convenient place to stay!

I stayed here last academic year and it was brilliant. The people I was staying with were amazing and the manager was brilliant. He helped me settle in not only to the accommodation but also helped me settle into Sheffield.

I enjoyed so much staying at Sheffield Star Residence. I was satisfied with everything including the great location, spacious &clean room, friendly staff and especially the manager of the residence was really supportive & helpful.
I would strongly recommend this accomodation to anyone who is thinking to study and stay in Sheffield.

Good value for money, clean, managed well, good location to uni with free bus tickets to town

I previously owned a property for which CRM were responsible for service charges etc. I have not owned the property for over a year and am regularly receiving invoices for money I don't owe. They know I don't own the property as they prepared relevant documents for the sale but when I've questioned why they keep invoicing me despite them knowing I don't own it, I was told "Well we don't have the new owners name". How ridiculous. I gave them the new owners name but this apparently did not suffice. Talking to staff at this company is like banging your head against a brick wall. I have wasted so much time calling them and repeating myself its driving me mad.

Loving my stay here.. friendly staff, peaceful environment, rooms are spacious, big kitchen.. free games are available.. morning tea & coffee are free🤩 from Andy .. though away from town but there is good bus connectivity & free bus passes from cube😍
