Servicing appalling
Took Cartier watch in to watches of switzerland to be serviced. They sent it off to Cartier, it took ages! When it eventually came back, the blue winder crystal looked fake. They'd replaced the winder and the crystal fell out relatively quickly. They said this wasn't covered by the servicing warranty. I have since read that if the crystal falls out this could mean the part is fake - I would hope Cartier don't use fake parts but they are definitely inferior to what was originally on the watch as the watch then stopped working. Took it back in, they then replaced the hands but didn't put a new crystal in. The winder was almost impossibly stiff. It stopped working again -less than a year later. They are refusing to fix it as they are saying it has broken because we damaged the winder and claim that it had a new crystal (this is an absolute lie on both counts). I don't know how they can claim it has stopped working because it has been dropped when it has never stopped working in 22 years before that. I am going to find an independent to repair it as the whole process of servicing with Cartier seems like snake oil - a working watch ends up not working and we are blamed. I haven't spoken to Cartier directly as this is all through watches of Switzerland but they are the ones refusing to fix the watch that I firmly believe they have broken.

Poor service and abysmal communication
My husband placed an online order for a bottle of Pasha de Cartier Parfum for men which never arrived, and his payment was reversed, with no explanation. As I was going to London the following weekend, I visited the Bond St store to buy a bottle. I waited 45 mins to be served, then 3 days later an email came to say that there had been delays in procuring the parfum and that a bottle was now on its way. I have written to Cartier customer service 3 times now, as I’m angry that we weren’t notified sooner of the delay and also that I wasted a significant amount of time waiting to be seen for just a bottle of perfume! Now we have bought 2 bottles, unnecessarily too. Just very poor communication and service Cartier. I used to consider you the best…not any more
Les Must NOT de Cartier
Years ago, my mother bought me a gold cigarette lighter (with a diamond) from Cartier from its Bond Street boutique. As it was easily misplaced by me, I rarely used it and just needed to change the flint and fill gas once in a while!
When I took it out recently, I found it has ceased to work. So I gave it to the charming but less than useful ladies at the Cartier boutique at Selfridges.
After keeping it at their workshop for a few months, they returned it untouched and said they no longer keep the parts (!) that need to be repaired!! I did tell them that this was a simple mechanical device and not one with a complicated mechanism. To no avail! The ladies said that the workshop in London and Paris had said that I should take it to one of the cheap outlets on Burlington Arcade and get it fixed there - no doubt voiding my Cartier guarantee in the process.
My advise. Don’t buy mechanical devices like lighters and watches from Cartier…ever! They are shamelessly inept!
Terrible customer service
Purchased a Cartier ring for our granddaughter’s 21st birthday. Initially our experience in Selfridges, Manchester was good. We ordered what we believed to be right size but a week later when it arrived our granddaughter struggled to get it on her finger. When the size was checked Cartier had sent the wrong size. Reordered the correct size which was promised to be delivered by special delivery so she could have it for her birthday, unfortunately it arrived a week late. We were assured by Selfridges in Manchester if it didn’t fit not to worry, just bring it back & it would be exchanged. My granddaughter got in touch with person who had dealt with us in Manchester & he advised us to bring it back on the 13th November as Cartier would be in Selfridges in the lead up to Christmas & she could try the correct ring size on. We went today to enjoy the magical experience which my granddaughter was promised. Indeed it wasn’t, firstly she was accused of wearing the ring as it had got scratches on it & was told by the assistant they couldn’t exchange it. Quite obviously the ring had been sent to her scratched as it was too small so she couldn’t possibly have worn it. The assistant made it quite clear she didn’t believe us & all she really wanted was for us to go. Luckily her grandfather stepped in & spoke in a very polite way but made it quite clear we didn’t accept her decision & wanted a replacement ring. She agreed but added that they normally only do one exchange but on this occasion she would do it. My granddaughter reminded her it was their fault in the first place for sending the wrong sized ring & this was the first exchange. We were made to feel very uncomfortable after being accused of something that was not our fault. Will we buy from Cartier again, I don’t think so, was it a magical experience, definitely not. Their customer service is nil.
The love bracelet is fragile
The love bracelet is fragile. It started coming off within 4 years of repair. Cartier identified a structural defect and fixed the first time. It came off again within 6 months of repair and now they are demanding a full price of bracelet for repair. Clearly that’s why they don’t have reviews activated on their website.
Appalling customer service!
Appalling customer service!
Went to the boutique in old Bond Street after talking to an ambassador over the telephone and explaining what I needed help with.
They were at first obliging, but then when the realised I needed a valuation on a watch they no longer sell, they really couldn’t be bothered at all.
They sent me to their store at the other end of Bond Street and I waited patiently for service.
When I presented my collection of luxury items from them that I had bought from them previously their attitude completely changed, they talked down to me and made me feel like an absolute criminal when I was being completely honest with them.
The items were ones they no longer sell and were bought years ago and of course they checked them and found I was right! Of course I was!
Their customer service then, used to be faultless and nothing was too much trouble, even at times offering a coffee or free polishing or battery replacement or even champagne !
My recent visit was nothing short of disgusting, they offered me some water as I’d come a long way to take the items there, but just slammed the bottle on the table without even opening it, of offering me a glass!
I couldn’t beleive it!
They were sarcastic, talked down to me and were extremely unhelpful and not at all willing to help.
The level of customer service has definately gone downhill rapidly and they were completely disinterested.
Unbeknown to them I could actually afford more of their peices, but as such I won’t be returning to purchase anything else.
I have a large collection of Cartier, which I needed more information and help with, but they were just not interested at all.
They even looked me up and down as I turned to leave, even though I was dressed smartly.
That level of service from what is supposed to be a luxury brand is disgusting and judgemental.
Their attitude was very snooty and stuck up and I’m not a snob and can’t tolerate that .
It just shows that you should never judge a book by its cover, a lesson they need to teach their employees together with ld fashioned courtesy and manners.
What has happened to personal service these days?!
Avoid at all costs.
Scammers Do Not Buy From Them !!!
Scammers Do Not Buy From Them !!!
Returned a Cartier Bracelet brought for my wife as a present, it had to be returned because needed next size up and after they arranged collection of the item, They claimed that there were scratches on the bracelet. and have refused to refund. Even though the scratches could of quite possibly been on the bracelet when first delivered because you need to magnify the bracelet to have any chance of even seeing the so called damage.!!! The bracelet was out of the box for no more than 2 mins our end.
From start to finish Both selfridges and cartier couldn't care less about there customers and any future business. We have since visited the actual Cartier store in Selfridges to see how the bracelets are actually handled, we literally witnessed a customer trying on the same style bracelet, next to another bracelet the were already wearing, rubbing together.
The lady had also commented on another sized bracelet which had a small scratch on, and the server actually said thats all just part of the journey on the piece from Cartier !!! Have you ever heard such crap???
They are complete crooks and and try every trick in the book to keep peoples hard earned money. Unfortunately for them they have tried to scam the wrong person this time !!
Its amazing to think they expect everyone to just roll over and take there heavy handed crap. think its about time all the other people they have scammed stand up to these low lifes. and stop them from hurting anyone else financially
A big thank you to Jasmina from Cartier…
A big thank you to Jasmina from Cartier Old Bond Street Boutique for the really exemplary, amazing hospitality, professional approach, courtesy and understanding of my situation having travelled down from Edinburgh for the engraving service to my new LOVE ring.
And I had the most wonderful experience in Cartier New Bond Street Boutique when I collected my ring with beautiful engraving due to highly professional and very attentive service by Saulo. He made my visit incredibly special by providing a private excursion of their High Jewellery.
Buy from Tiffany instead
Phoned to ask if it was possible to find a retail or replacement value for an inherited piece
Some snotty little jobsworth on the end of the phone told me they only deal with original purchasers (despite me saying it was inherited) and in any case they could not be bothered doing valuations at the moment.
So happy I buy my partners own pieces from Tiffany who actually understand customer service.
Disgusting
Disgusting - treated us like scum. Most likely because we weren't uber rich or famous. Could not have had a worse experience - would never recommend a Cartier watch to anyone - totally ruined my special birthday with their treatment. I can prove every word I am saying before this review gets removed for not 'being factual' !
This is for the shop in old Bond…
This is for the shop in old Bond Street. Horrible service, you pay a lot of money , but are treated like cattle. Waiting for hours to pick up a simple repair. Most definitely NOT ok
wedding rings from here
We bought our wedding rings from here. The delivered fast but packing could have been more...
Bought a bracelet as a gift for my Wife
Bought a bracelet online for my Wife . She wore it for one hour alongside another ( Cartier ) bracelet and decided it was too big . Tried to exchange for a smaller size and was refused because it’s scratched . Cartier advice that any bracelet worn will scratch and be non replaceable or refundable so they don’t really have a refund or replacement policy .
Wouldn’t it be nice if their website told you in advance ? Do NOT buy from this Company online and DO read the reviews !
Return policy scam - be warned
We ordered a ring online. It arrived, and did not fit, so returned it. The ring was tried on for a few seconds. Cartier are claiming that there are a number of scratches on the ring. The (admittedly very nice) lady on the phone enquired as to why it was "so long" before attempting to return it (think it has been 20 days, within their 30 days period), insinuating that we had been using it, and went to return it once we had damaged it (I can imagine this happens, so fair enough). Essentially, you are screwed. Their terms of business cover them to say that anything that may or may not have been down to you, is down to you. I would suggest never buying anything online from them. At least if you try on in store then you do not need to be subject to their cheating returns policy. That being said, I would suggest not buying anything from these crooks. I shall never buy anything from them again (which is annoying, as I really wanted to get a watch from them for myself).
Their Diamond Earrings TARNISH
I bought the medium D'Amour earrings in 18K yellow gold earlier this year. After only 3 months of use the gold TARNISHED and became brown. I took them to the Old Bond Street store FIVE MONTHS ago and was told the cause of tarnishing would be 'investigated' by their workshop. A month later, after several emails and calls, they sent the earrings back to me after performing a Deep Polish on them WITHOUT my consent, which obviously removed a layer of gold. At no point did they tell me the outcome of their so-called 'investigation' to discuss with me how I would like to proceed.
I requested an exchange for a new pair of earrings as 18K gold should NOT be tarnishing for any reason. They refused and told me the gold got discoloured due to CREAM SHAMPOO and PERFUME. I even have an email stating this outrageous and laughable claim made by them.
Not only that, the workshop caused DEEP SCRATCHES on the earrings following the polishing performed by THEM.
To date I have had 33 correspondences including phonecalls and emails with their UK Client Services and a Manager at the Bond Street Store called SJ, who responds to 1 in 3 emails, with a copy pasted generic script full of typos, never addressing any of my concerns and queries.
I have requested an escalation to senior management, but not ONE person has bothered calling me to resolve my grievance and the issue at hand, despite my request for a phonecall a dozen times. It's as though they intentionally ignore complaints hoping they would go away.
They have not done ANYTHING to respond to my formal complaint and the workshop denied the damage THEY did to the earnings, implying that I must have caused the scratches! I only had the earrings in my possession for 10 minutes after I received them from the Cartier after sales and noticed the scratches immediately and sent them straight back! Cartier's Bond Street store STILL has the earrings in their possession and I am STILL waiting for a resolution.
At this point I am absolutely furious at their abysmal service and the disrespect from them.
Cartier and their employees should be embarrassed at telling their clients that their gold gets damaged by SHAMPOO. Mocking the intelligence of their customers like this is extremely distasteful and not befitting of Cartier's 'high standards'.
My advice to others: Apparently Cartier's 18K gold TARNISHES due to CREAM SHAMPOO and PERFUM (it sounds so pathetic it's almost amusing). DO NOT buy from them, especially not the Bond Street store, where customers often queue like cattle before they are seen. Fact.
Their customer service is ludicrous and I regret the day I walked into their boutique to make the purchase. What was supposed to be a gift to myself to celebrate a happy occasion has turned into a nightmare and cause of severe distress and resentment.
At this point I want nothing to do with Cartier and will never buy from them again, nor will my friends and family, who have been customers for years. I will ensure evidence photographs of my earrings and screenshots of SJ's unhelpful emails reach far and wide, I will not be censoring her name next time. I wouldn't want anyone to suffer the way I have, repeatedly chasing them for 5 months.
Not even a reply on trustpilot really…
Not even a reply on trustpilot really disappointing
Poor customer service
Love the watch but…. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired for a premium brand. After 8 months I tried to open my Cartier box to remove my new Watch and the clasp had seized! No way of opening in without breaking the box. Cartier refused to replace the box and so I had to force it open. Given that the box is an integral part of the watch set I feel let down as this will affect the re sale value! The box had only been opened once previously so hadn’t even had much use. The only reason it would become defective is a manufacturing fault.
This experience most definitely swayed my decision to NOT buy a second watch from them and shop elsewhere.
It’s basically online scam company
Fraudulent and rude. It’s basically online scam company. Anything you buy online especially more expensive items can be just not refunded to you. They refuse on a basis of pictures they take and say there is a scratch and it’s beyond repair. So with anything you buy it can happen and you won’t see your money even if the item was faulty when you received it and not suitable for you. I bought love bracelet, put it on, took it off as it was wrong size, put in the box and rang to arrange the return the SAME DAY as it was too big. They received back the next day and it has been in their sole possession for over a week. And after over week Cartier got back to me and just say they found a scratch and want me to keep it. STAY AWAY from online and if you want a Cartier go to resaler, Trading policy and customer service is much better there
Outstanding Experience
Today in Cartier’s New Bond Street store we visited and purchased a ladies watch.
We were advised before, to make an appointment so we could view and discuss our choices at leisure.
We were attended to by Richard who was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and absolutely patient!
The service we received was outstanding and the attention to detail given by Richard was greatly appreciated.
So rare to find these days..
