I attending BOOTS Hearing Care at Pontprennau Cardiff yesterday morning.
I was greeted and a friendly audiologist called Sarah welcomed me.
Sarah was completely professional and knowledgeable while being chatty and friendly.
I could not fault her attention and she explained everything very well.I felt she had as much time a I needed and in the end I was with her nearly 2 hours which I felt was extremely generous.
..I would recommend Sarah completely
...she looked after me well and I came away feeling I knew all the options.

Recent visit for hearing test

On a recent visit for hearing test, Dale (F) the audiologist was polite, professional an friendly throughout.
After showing me the results (sad).

She demoed a set of hearing aids an suggested what type would suit me. After getting used to the difference it made, she gave me the options on which type to get, rechargeable or battery (change)

Even the hearing in my right ear was improved when using them.
However I wasn't told the price of them. But was shown a price list which started at the basic level. But wasn't told which ones they were for.

So the demoed ones were the most expensive (£4k!)
Very disappointing...

Disappointing service

We were seen by a member named David. Unfortunately, the appointment felt rushed, and my mother’s hearing aids were not working properly when we returned home. The explanations provided were limited, and the overall service felt unprofessionally delivered.
Friends and acquaintances recommended Zee, who we wanted to see as told us excellent, caring, and knowledgeable. I requested to see her but was informed that she has been replaced.
While I want to commend the store for its previous high-quality service, I feel that the recent experience fell short of the standards I have come to expect, and the new staff member does not yet appear to have the same level of experience or expertise. If I didn’t have the recommendation to come see someone here, I wouldn’t have bothered to bring my mum here. Disappointed.

Disgusted

I attended an appointment today with my elderly mum, I don’t usually complain but quite frankly I’m disgusted by the experience today.

The staff usually we see are lovely, the person we saw today was apparently filling in. The person we saw was very impatient even rolled his eyes at one point clearly he was very frustrated. If you cannot have patience or empathy or understanding working with anybody let alone an older person with significant hearing issues then you should not be working with the public. He was quite rough when he was attempting to take the hearing aid out of my mum’s ear and looked a bit annoyed when she indicated her discomfort..

I would suggest this person needs to undergo some refresher training on how to be pleasant patient and understanding. Quite frankly, if this person continues to work there, I would be taking my mum elsewhere..

Staff lovely just disappointed no…

Staff lovely just disappointed no insurance in the warranty of 4 years Insurance very expensive £55 month I wouldn’t have purchased the hearing aids if I knew this but still got time tovreturn

Hear better.

Lovely lady named Nadia extremely pleasant and very relaxed, I felt she was very sincere about delivering information regarding the need for aids to help with hearing,
Nadia is a great asset to Boots hearing care.

Nobody answering telephone calls

Nobody answering telephone calls. Tried on various numbers also 02920766405 as published on website appears to be wrong as unobtainable. Not a great start having just spent nearly £4000 on new hearing aids. Really not impressed.
