I was provided with thoughtful guidance and helpful advice throughout the process of testing my hearing, discussing options and demonstrating a solution, fitting the hearing aid and after-care. Although I had reservations about the encumbrance of a hearing aid, they are both lightweight and inconspicuous, and have given me new confidence in socializing in noisy environments.

Boots were good when I first had my hearing test and fitting and, also, the first follow up appointment. But, after that I have had four cancellations of my review appointments and the last one was only one and half hour before the time and I was on my way. I am so fed up with their approach to their customers once you have signed up for the cost of the aid. I would recommend anyone considering a hearing test to go somewhere else.
Update: 1/12/25 Following this review Boots contacted me and offered a voucher for £15 worth of Boots Advantage points! I made a further appointment for my annual hearing check which was due today, 1/12/25 at 12 noon - guess what - it was cancelled again at 7.30am this morning. There is no caring, whatsoever, from Boots hearing and now, what do I do? As I am disabled due to a terminal lung condition I had arranged to be given a lift to my appointment today and so it isn't just me they have inconvenienced. Please, please do not go to Boots hearing for your test to begin with - just choose another provider that is going to treat you with respect.

I have received extensive help from Georgina Rykalska over recent months enabling me to hear far better than my experience with Boots Hearing over the previous seven to eight years had achieved.
Georgina has delved deeply into my numerous hearing issues and resolved them in great detail where they have not been satisfactorily addressed previously. She has enabled a level of engagement with others which has not been possible for me since my hearing loss started. I am extremely grateful to her for all her care and professional approach to my needs.
Good and Bad
The first contact was fine, the hearing test by Bruce started on time and was very comprehensive. I felt in good hands and decided for the top model which was set up by someone else.
Here the problems started, the computer system had problems and I was told that I can make the final setup and connection with the app on my phone at home. This did not work, because the app said „not correctly setup“.
Went back to Brighton boots and no one could help me, I was told to make an appointment in a weeks time.
At home I compared with/without hearing aid and found no difference.
Therefore I used the next appointment to return the hearing aid, hoping that the 3.5k£ are returned to my credit card soon.
Next time I will try a small business where I will be assured that I can pop in and get help even if I have to wait a little bit.

All the staff in the department were really helpful and polite. Michelle, the audiologist, was absolutely amazing and patient with both myself and my husband. We both felt completely confident with our dealings with her.

I had a very well informed and balanced consultation with the focus on getting the best solution for me and not pushing me towards one product or other. As a relatively young client my audiologist (Michelle) seemed genuinely pleased that I was taking her advice seriously in opting to get hearing aids.

Nothing was too much trouble for her. She reset my hearing aids which I just purchased explained to me in detail all the questions I had and sent me out feeling extremely satisfied. I would without any hesitation recommend her.

Very helpful audiologist in Brighton
Our audiologist in Brighton Georgina Rykalska was excellent. She listened carefully about the problems experienced with the hearing aids; they were sent away under warranty for repair, and she gave us detailed and helpful advice about their care; managing hearing aids in restaurants etc. This advice compared very favourably with previous meetings with another colleague. She has arranged a review for us, and we very much hope to be able to rely on her advice in the future.
