I purchased my remanufactured transmission for an 04 Escalade in June of 2018. No issues at all and I have been out of state a few times since it’s been installed with a decent load too. Truck still pulls strong!!!! Thank You BestBuy Transmissions!!

There is NO ONE better than Best Buy Transmissions !!! My transmission went out right before Christmas 2018. I searched a lot of different transmission replacement options. I chose Best Buy Transmission because of the quality (essentially new since it is completely re-manufactured), the competitive pricing and the guarantee (100,000 miles). They got the transmission to my shop in a couple of days during the holiday season and facilitated the core return without my even getting involved. The process was seamless from start to finish !! It was GREAT !!!

I have now had the Best Buy Transmission in my Escalade for over two years now and it is still performing like new. That includes long-haul trips across the country and back with NO issues !!

There are LOTS of transmission replacement options out there for you to choose from, but when you want answers, great customer service and the best high quality transmission for the best price with peace of mind, then the ONLY choice should be Best Buy Transmissions !!!

If I EVER run into this situation again (and, nothing personal, but I hope I don't), I will ONLY call Best Buy Transmissions.

I was VERY pleased with my experience buying a transmission from BBT. Communication was good, shipping prompt and the tranny worked well for as long as we owned the sedan (sadly, a deer collision shortened that time). Highly recommend!

I ordered a remanufactured transmission, the over the phone order was simple and easy. I received my order a couple of weeks later with no issues. The mechanic installed it, tested it, and it has been working fine.

I own a 2010 Chevy Avalanche. One day while driving back from Tulsa I notice it was shifting funny and I thought this is not going to be good. Sure enough the transmission barely got me home. 137,000 miles on the vehicle when the transmission failed. I called Best Buy transmission which I had found online and was fairly impressed with everything I read. After I talked to a couple of transmission shops, I found out that there was a great reputation for Best Buy transmission. I’ve then begin the process of calling them and found it to be very good experience. That the person who was on the phone was very knowledgeable and informative. That’s not always the case especially since I am a former class a diesel mechanic. But this guy knew his stuff. They quickly shipped my new transmission and I had it installed at a local transmission shop. Shipped the old transmission back and everything else is just a good memory. PS... to put in a remanufactured transmission with a better warranty than the original was pretty impressive to me. I am 35,000 miles down the road now with an excellent functioning transmission. I bought a transmission for my 99 f350 4x4, and I worked perfectly! Super easy transaction and the core return was a piece of cake as well. These guys are serious about what they do, and they do it well!

This transmission lasted less than 10,000 miles. Problems started shortly after installation. I took it to three shops for diagnosis and repair. At one shop it got burglarized.

THAN, THE REPLACEMENT IS DEFECTIVE, it does not shift correctly. I still need to take it in for diagnosis and repair.

They did not return my call for five days. They predicted 23 days to ship a replacement, luckily after complaining, the shop would charge storage, it only took 7 days.

Total, revised (Lucky the shop did not charge the storage which would have been $32/day.), cost of breakdown: $1,535. $675 ($895-$220) labor to install the replacement transmission, $500 to tow vehicle, a motor home, to repair shop, $360 fuel to drive jeep we tow home and back while being repair. They will cover $220 for labor cost. I had a more lengthy review but it was flagged and removed. I'm not going to bother repeating it all. Above is the crucks of the situation.

SUMMARY
I paid a premium for peace of mind, then had immediate problems. I spent days taking vehicle in for unsuccessful repairs. Total failure after 10,000 miles. And now the replacement is defective. Unbelievable.

this review isn't about their transmissions but rather how I was treated by Anthony at best buy.

I'd ordered a transmission not necessarily because I'd needed one but because it's got quite a few miles and it was being almost removed to access my engine rear main seal.

fast forward several days, I got in a bigger hurry for the truck than what the order could accommodate so I called to cancel my order. when I did that I was told my order had been shipped already and there'd be a handling fee for it's return.

not one to want to spend dollars for nothing (on my end) I figured I'd just keep it when it came in, get a core from the scrapyard to return, and put the one in transit in later.

well, the following day I checked my email, and I'd been sent one the day before with the tracking information confirming it had indeed been picked up - 2 hours after I'd called to cancel my order. I wasn't too pleased.

I email them explaining my position and how it looks as if for the sake of the sale someone wasn't honest regarding the ship time.

given what appeared to have happened, while considering my admittedly late cancellation attempt, I was prepared for about any response.

what followed was Anthony taking comlete responsibility for what it turns out wasn't dishonesty, but a lag in their being made aware of exact shipping times which led to the situation. he then guaranteed me to not incur any expense if I wanted to still cancel the order and said regardless my choice he was truly sorry. since my transmission was already back in my truck I cancelled. true to his word he refunded my payment in full. I feel I was treated beyond fairly, enough so that I felt sharing my experience was in order.

one question I would've asked, probably should've before my order, and would if I ordered again is how the warranty works. research I've done (not thru best buy) indicates that they are resellers of the transmissions from a place that doesn't deal with the general public. everything we buy is done this way, so no big deal there. this place has a shorter advertised warranty than the 5/100 though, so it's probably additional coverage being purchased. a lot of places do that. my question would be if best buy were to go out of business, or retire, or close for any reason, who holds the actual warranty and what would need to happen to pursue a repair or replacement in a situation where best buy wasn't available? I'd imagine they'd have a response to this, but I don't need to ask now
