I was LOST, but now I'm found!!! I didn't know my designation nor my J & C when I met this team. I was scared, mad, frustrated and lost. Sam and Larry changed my life. I constatnly tell folks I met them 8 months too late. My PSR didn't accurate reflect my situation, experiences, nor my short comings. Through the gudiance and help of this team, I have a good chance of being located 2 1/2 hours from my family versus 7 hours. Additionally, Sam and Larry guided my attorney with drafted orders (Larry) and RDAP information and conference calls (Sam) to assist me with my illness and possible treatment, and presenting to the courts on my behalf. I've learned how to advocate for myself and become productive while incarcerated. Most importantly, my wife feels better about our situation as she listens to the zoom calls with me. Justin, Sam, Larry, Scott and the other team members are now our family. Michael Santos is a genius, and I want to be like him when I grow up.

As a defendant facing 41-51 months.
I had my sentencing yesterday. The Judge gave me a year and a day sentence. My judge even stated my narrative at sentencing and also spoke of the charity work I did with Prison Professors as well as me working two jobs leading up to sentencing. Justin emphasized to work as much as you can. I am elated and grateful that I called Justin at white collar advice.

If I just went through my journey with my lawyer alone I feel whole heartedly that I would have received a guideline sentence. I’m not knocking my attorney at all in fact he did a great job.

Sam has been my point of contact since day one, I enlisted his services after receiving a federal prison sentence and finding out I was going to a higher security facility that I belong in. My attorney at the time was absolutely clueless on what to do and completely dropped the ball… after having my consultation with Sam I knew these folks were the ones for the job and they sure were. Within 24 hours of receiving my retainer they had the necessary paperwork drafted up and got the ball rolling. Call them! Hire them! They can help you! I feel incredibly blessed that I found Sam Mangel of White Collar Advice. I was completely lost, confused and felt helpless regarding what to expect after I was found guilty at trial. There was so much to do, so much I didn’t understand and with the pending sentancing hearing coming up, I only felt more paralyzed. I started utilizing all of the helpful free resources and videos on their sites and I knew they could help me. So I hired them and they did exactly that. Sam introduced me to Lawrence and the work began. They defined terms, laid out a solid plan and took me through some very challenging months up to my sentencing hearing. They prepared me for my Pre Sentancing Report, my narrative, helped navigate my character references and took charge of my allocution I would be saying to the judge. They even mapped out the best female prison camp and low security prison for me depending on what my sentence outcome would be. I can't say enough there wasn't a meeting or a time throughout this process where I thought I wasn't prepared. Everything happened just like I was told it would, but I did the work and took the time to learn everything I could.

I could have gotten 99-111 months, but in the end, and I must say because of Prison Professors and White Collar Advice, as well as Sam, Mangel, Lawrence Hartman, Justin Paperny, and Michael Santos, my sentence is 41 months in Duluth which is a Stand alone Federal Prison Camp that I was able to pick because of the advice Sam gave me. Sam tells me I'll be out in 12 months, so a week from tomorrow, I'm turning myself in, and I will do a daily blog and document my entire journey for all to see.

It’s far from over but Sam and Brad kept me from tipping over the edge……. Thus far

Sam and Larry helped me though uncertain period in my life. They walked me though step by step how to work with my attorney. I ended up getting a probation instead of years of prison time. All the letters and preparing for the case was valuable tools and contributing factor. Also, Sam helping me with all the questions which helped me guide though unknown and scary time period of my life. Please do watch all their videos and study and put effort to your case. I had a great experience with White Collar Advisors. I believe their guidance was responsible for my receiving a sentence that was only 25% of what the prosecution was requesting. Hi =) Though my November 2021 sentencing was repeatedly postponed, I was finally sentenced on 3/3/2022. Though my attorney had submitted his document (including my written narrative & character letters) on my behalf requesting 48 months, when I walked into the courthouse I had prepared myself as best as I could to be sentenced to up to 97 months based on the presentencing report. Minutes before my sentencing hearing began my attorney let me know that some kind of 'sealed motion' had been filed based on information provided during my proffer, and the prosecution has recommended a 15% reduction to my sentence; my attorney quickly mentioned something about 85 months. The sentencing hearing itself was horrible/brutal - which apparently is the job of the prosecution & the judge =\ However, when I was provided the opportunity to speak, I read 'my' statement. After that, the judge did say a couple of things that I took as being as 'kind' as they possibly could be coming from him - and he sentenced me to 70 months. Though I thought I would be so nervous & out-of-it that I wouldn't really know what was going on, I was amazingly & surprisingly completely 'present'. I was most surprised to find that the entire sentencing was only 20 minutes, because I would have sworn I was standing for at least a couple of hours. But I was pleasantly surprised feeling like I had 'prepared' myself as much as I could, which allowed me to be as present as I was.)

I had already requested that my attorney ask that I be able to self-surrender to Dublin in three months, and that he reiterate the RDAP recommendation from the presentencing report. The prosecution asked that I self-surrender in two months. The judge ended my hearing my recommending that I participate in RDAP and that I self-surrender in 2.5 months to Dublin. I received confirmation that I am to report to Dublin Camp on 5/18/2022. Today is my 47th birthday, in 4 days I will be in Dublin, and on 5/24/2022 I will miss celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary with my beloved hubby =*(

Prior to sentencing I had already done multiple calculations with my family and we talked to the attorney immediately after the hearing. Given the 15% credits, my planning to take full advantage of the Second Chance Act and participate in RDAP - I am hoping with everything that I am back home to my family within a couple of years. =*)

Of course I was in shock for awhile... and still am... but I am continuing to stay as positive as I possibly can, and I do 100% intend to do everything that I can to remain this way while incarcerated.

I have wanted to thank you personally for all of the assistance that you provided with the narrative, my allocution & just so very much helpful information & support over the last 11 months. Without your help with the documents, I would never have had the confidence that I've had since last summer. And I needed the confidence not only for myself, but for my daughters (& family). Nothing I write or say could possibly thank you & the organization enough. Though I don't have any idea really what my life will look like over the next few years, in my head and my heart I keep believing that I am going to come out 'better' & stronger than I was. There have been many times over the past year when a realization has kind of 'hit' feeling like I looked a huge fear right in the face and survived; and I have most definitely already made changes to how I live & who I've surrounded myself with. This complete change to my perspective of this entire process & of my future occurred last summer after I found your organization's website - and I've been needing to write this THANK YOU since my emotions have finally calmed a lot since the sentencing. Though of course there is a fear of prison & especially being away from my family for the first time in my life, more determination to remain positive & committed to improvement has slowly been replacing the fear. I’m surrendering in two hours to serve a 67 month sentence—but I’m sure I’ll serve only 18-24 months with the early release plan I have with Sam and the White Collar Advice team.

In regards to my sentence of 67 months, I was looking at 20 yrs and the Feds asking for 10yrs.
