Justin did an amazing job explaining his story. Many of my coworkers shared the same sentiment, and some even said they were "Hanging on every word." Justin spoke to our team as part of our focus on our company value of integrity, and he made clear that the value of integrity can bring to the workplace.

The presentation was done via Zoom, which can be a challenge for some, but not for Justin. He spoke clearly, told his story, and held the attention of everyone. It didn't feel like a typical online presentation.

Justin is an absolute professional and responded in a timely manner. We engaged a few speakers and Justin by far was the most responsive, super easy to work with, and was very accommodating to our timeline. 10/10 recommend.

Since the harrowing day the FBI first knocked on my door, Justin’s advice has given me hope and life affirming direction. In addition to helping me frame my letter of allocution in ways that served to greatly reduce my federal sentence, from a potential five year ceiling to six months, he has helped me transform my experiences throughout the entire journey - from pre sentencing, through incarceration, and through home confinement, and probation. In essence, he has helped me take responsibility for my actions in ways that I am not focused on damage control, but in taking control of my behaviors in positive, responsible, and humble ways. Through his example, I learned the value of making each day in prison count - and not just count the days. Through his videos and webinars, he continues to provide me with information and inspiration that helps guide me to live a more responsible, humble, and authentic life. I am forever in his debt.

I was just sentenced today in Federal court. This nightmare started in April of 2022. I thought my life was over because I did not know my future. I was looking at three charges between 24 and 36 months of prison, which was the low end of the guidelines.
I could not believe how and why that it happened but the facts were I did something wrong and the Federal Government was going to prosecute me. I watched youtube videos and Found White Collar advice, and I called Justin Paperny. We started to work right away, and it gave me hope that my outcome could be something that I could overcome.
Brad Rouse was a great counselor who talked me into reality. He helped me write my pre-sentence narrative. I just knew this document would help me and it did. Just by going through everything with Brad it helped calm my mind and give me that hope that I so needed. It was a long year but staying in contact with Brad helped me survive it. I accepted a plea deal in March and my next big step was the Probation report.
My lawyer was hesitant to give it to my Officer who was doing the report until he read it. He actually emailed her a copy a few days in advance so she would have it. When I met with my officer they were impressed that we were prepared. She had the report in hand and the interview went great. She even commented about how beneficial it was to have so much information to work with making her job easier. When my report came back my lawyer was really excited about how well the report was written showing the good in my life. He stated that the report had a lot of really good points that will help at sentencing. The PSIR report was a tool that helped me out at sentencing. I ended up getting 18 months of probation instead of prison time. Putting in the work that Justin s team told me to do worked. It gave me goals to accomplish and kept my hope alive. I do not wish this process upon anyone because it is hell and the only way out is to keep moving forward.

I think relieved would be the best word to describe how I feel after my sentencing hearing.

I was facing 2 counts being Aggravated Identity Theft and Conspiracy to commit wire fraud Prosecutors suggested 57 months in prison.

I was sentenced to 20 months in prison, it still seems like a lot if you take into account that the best option is never prison, but you have to face that even though you are not a criminal and just made a bad decision, you are an adult and you need to face up to their responsibilities.

I left the court feeling victorious, relieved and very happy and the context of all these feelings is why I was able to show the Judge through a 4 page letter and in my final speech who I really am and what led me to commit the error for which I was sentenced.

Hearing the Judge say more than 3 times during the sentencing that after reading my letter and listening to my speech he could see who I really was, he could understand my character and that the letter was an insight for him to be able to absorb all the context from which I was inserted.

Hearing the Judge say that from my letter he was sure I wouldn't commit another crime.

Hearing the Judge say that he saw me as a good citizen and that he could see a good future in me, hearing all this was what made me leave victorious and relieved.

The Judge gave me 45 days to self surrender and now I have time to organize the start of my journey.

My feeling of facing prison now is completely different, I feel confident and I know that my time in confinement will only strengthen my relationship with my wife and family as well as make me grow as a man and citizen. I no longer feel the fear of being away from my family, now I am looking forward to starting my time.

To Michael and the whole team, I want to say thank you very much for all the time, for guiding me in this journey not only for the letter and the speech but for being able to understand everything I could say about myself and demonstrate this to the Judge.
Prosecutors will say the worst possible things about you that's their job.
Your job is to show who you really are the truths about yourself and that in the end will make all the difference as it did for me.

What White Collar Advice did for my brother was remarkable. They helped him not only realize the error of his ways, but effectively got his sentenced reduced from 41 months (which could have been much more) to just over 1 year time served. Lack of transparency within the organization provoked me to write this review. Allegedly, there have been several questions left unanswered regarding time sensitive issues. “If”there is a breach in contract what happens? From my understanding, this firm is hired to provide services; mitigation at the forefront.

I felt so much peace the night before sentencing, the calmness that came from knowing I had done all that I could to the best of my ability at this stage. I will never forget scouring youtube for any help as I was desperate with my case, facing a cumulative 50 years with 2 felonies and 5 misdemeanors. I watched as many videos as I could until I decided I wanted to actually hire your team and felt like any money I paid would be paid back one hundred fold! And I was right! I had no idea that my attorney would be so adamantly against utilizing the assistance and techniques that your team provided. Words can not really express my gratitude! My sentencing was all over the map and even the press was publishing absolutely awfully twisted tales! But thanks to the carefully crafted letters from my community, the painstakingly eloquent narrative facilitated by the masterful Brad and the absolutely brilliant statement to the judge Brad and you helped me craft, I was granted probably the lowest sentence realistically possible for my crime. I can not say enough about Brad’s kind, gentle wisdom.

At sentencing the judge saw me, in my own voice as not just another criminal standing before him but as the mother, the wife, the community leader, the survivor, the very human and flawed woman who was not the sum total of her crime.

The judge even spoke so highly of the letters, that moved him. He appreciated the community support that was so well expressed in my letters and the picture that was painted in the sentencing memo, based largely on my narrative, that was in stark contrast to the prosecutors and probation officer’s narrative.

Fallowing my statement, that honestly may have moved him to tears, the judge gave me a genuinely encouraging pep talk proving he had intently listened to every word. I in no way could have achieved this miracle by myself!

I would encourage anyone in such dire circumstance to join your webinars, read your books and hire your team if at all possible! If I have learned anything from you is that you must work for yourself like your life depends on it, because it does.

All of the resources provided free and paid for combined are what garnered my victory here! And yes, I feel victorious! There is no way I would have gotten the sentence I did with out your team’s support!

In the end, I was facing two years, and I left that courtroom with 10 days prison, 3 months home detention and 2 years probation. There was huge public pressure on this court to give me what the prosecutor was asking for, so for the judge to go against the grain and actually hand down a fair and thoughtful sentence was a miracle.

Your team facilitated that miracle! I learned so many lessons from this experience but most of all I learned to never stop advocating for yourself, deal with the issues at hand and to try and find peace in your power to execute your plan to freedom!

As the wife to a husband with a white collar crime, I can personally say how much this group of men at prison professors and white collar advice has helped my husband and I navigate this journey. White Collar advice empowered me to advocate for myself. I was able to educate myself through their resources on Prisonprofessors.com and ask questions during their free weekly webinars. If your like me, your broke from Attorney fees and government fines. I needed to pick and choose what I could do for myself and what I needed help with from Scott and his team. With the help of white collar advice I was successfully able to become RDAP eligible and re-designated after my sentencing already took place. It wasn't easy. It involved a court order, letter from my rehab center and many phone calls and emails. I couldn't have done it without Scott's guidance. The team here has been extremely helpful. I have attended their webinars weekly, and learned a lot of how to better prepare. In addition, the team has helped provide me with information our team needed that were able to submit for a hearing and they worked together with my attorneys to help draft the needed brief. Also, they helped provide me with information on how to create a detailed release plan, and they helped me review my release plan so I could add needed information to it. With their help I was able to expand my release plan to include more relevant information that i hasn’t thought to be relevant. Highly Highly Recommended. I have worked with them since the pre-charge(investigation) phase. Sooner you start, sooner you can advocate a possible better plea deal and sentencing. Lawyers CANNOT be your only tool. Simple. Start with the webinars, connect with their team, and go from there.

I got assistance on PSR preparation,character letters,personal narrative,release plan, and Allocution. I attended their webinars and resources made available. They taught me how to advocate! My PSR included my personal narrative and release plan. PSR is your prison “bible”. I was looking at 13-15yrs and I am now looking at 7.5-8.5. If it wasn’t for them, I would NOT be where I am at today. Fact. They helped me on medical prep, RDAP prep, prison prep, prison designation. Lastly, because of their work, I had my supervision modified in my favor prior to my sentence. Again, advocacy is the only way. Lawyers WILL not do that! Lawyers file legal motions, they don’t do the actual advocacy/mitigation work for you which can ONLY be done by you. My experience with White Collar Advice started early in my journey with the law. WCA has been by my side guiding, educating, and most importantly supporting me through this difficult experience. They showed me how to turn bad decisions I had made into a learning experience that has made me a stronger and better man. You cannot rewrite the past but you can change how you adapt and handle the future. In addition to what I gleaned from the team it was the intermittent conversations that helped me the most. I was sentenced to 51 months and was released to the halfway house after 16.5 months away at a prison camp. This was accomplished by hard work, staying out of trouble and clearly explaining my goals to the stakeholders within the B.O.P. These were the tenets taught to me by W.C.A. and they were invaluable.

Like many others, my biggest regret is not finding and working with the team at White Collar Advice sooner. I started working with them after I had done my PSR, but before my sentencing. They taught me how to communicate better and more effectively with my lawyers, and I received a sentence 3 years less than the prosecutor was asking. What I quickly found out is that most lawyers have no idea what happens to the defendant once the Judge hands down their sentence. That’s not a dig at lawyers—they are hired to perform a specific function in your case. The WCA team uses their experience of having actually gone through the federal prison system to provide practical solutions to benefit those who are going through the process. They helped me to prepare for my surrender to prison—from getting my personal affairs in order, to learning how to advocate for myself while in prison (once you surrender to prison, there is very little a lawyer on the outside can do for you—it is imperative that you learn the self-advocacy process if you want to have a better experience and have the most favorable outcome). As different issues arose during my stay in federal prison, it was very reassuring and stress-relieving to know that I could reach out via the prison email system to the team at WCA, who promptly provided me guidance and advice. By continuing to work with the team from WCA I was able to self-advocate and create a release plan to get out after 21 months on a 60 month sentence under the First Step Act and the CARES Act.

Once you begin working with WCA and watching the videos, you will learn to shift your thinking away from yourself, to learning how to view your case from the perspective of the stakeholders—the Judge, the prosecutor, the victims, your case manager in prison, your case manager in the halfway house, and finally your probation officer. And by learning to advocate for yourself along the way, you’re likely to gain higher levels of liberty and more favorable outcomes.
