No phone number for customer…
No phone number for customer service…off top I’m irritated. Only email that becomes a random question submittal that they will get back to you in 2 business days! I have multiple Chase business accounts along with a Chase business credit card and a personal account with them! A customer paid me from my link I have on my invoices in Xero on 7/22/23. They NEVER told me that they were pending review and I needed additional documentation until 5 days later I initiated the inquiry. The customer never saw it come out of their account either so they told me about it. Then I created a second invoice since that one shows as paid and couldn’t do anything with it. The customer paid that one on 7/27/23. Now today randomly the one from the 22nd shows complete now, but still hasn’t hit my account yet, and the one from yesterday is in review. Then I got the message that the payment that shows complete from 7/22/23 is being held for another 7 days!!! No explanation no communication messages from them. Chase is great but I DO NOT like Wepay at all. They need to get rid of them like yesterday!
DO NOT USE!
DO NOT USE!! They take your customer's payment and keep it for 120 with no meaningful reason, responses, or even a customer service number.
Don’t do business with this company
This is a really terrible shady company. They are currently holding over $2000 for no reason at all. The client that was charged has used the same credit card for the same amount previously with no issue. It is my believe they hold the funds of many clients with the intent of collecting interest. Whatever the reason, they will not call you and refuse to answer emails and a timeframe less than 48 hours. This is a really shady Credi way to run a business. Hopefully they won’t be around for very long.
Portal said I got paid, but I didn't
Never trust a company that will not provide a phone number for support.
In their portal all transactions are marked as complete and paid into my back. While auditing my bank account I noticed that some (not all, they have made some payments) payments didn't post to my bank account. When I questioned them in Zendesk online support, they're now telling me I need to provide additional documentation. Unless I questioned them they would have kept my money, in the $1000's. Well at this point they still have not made payment.
I'm turning their service off - terrible company and support.
Starting using WePay with Touch Bistro…
Starting using WePay with Touch Bistro at then end of April. They have held up to 30k twice without explanation or contact. Touch Bistro says there is nothing they can do, that WePay can "audit" payments for any reason. I have used World Pay, Heartland, etc for over 20 years and have never, ever had payments withheld. Then WePay will suddenly release the payment and will give no explanation on the audit process, audit findings, etc. STAY AWAY FROM WEPAY UNLESS YOU ARE OK GOING WEEKS AT TIME WITHOUT MONEY THAT BELONGS TO YOU!!
Horrible experience
Horrible experience, processed a single payment through them and was flagged immediately. They said they would hold my funds for 120 days and be closing my account. Was told that they wouldn't tell me why. Absolute garbage of a service and it has me looking a other banking options than chase for my business account.
Glad I found out early before I actually used them more.
WePay's Customer Service is lacking
WePay's Customer Service is lacking. Over 48 hours and still no response from their team on an issue with taking payments. My account is verified with no issues, yet I cannot get payments to go through. Submitted a ticket on Wed morning and Friday at 5pm still no response to the issue. There is no phone number to call for support. Their Customer Support is horrible.
Wepay is holding a payment made to me with no notice or clear reason
I use WePay with Freshbooks. They process payments for me through Freshbook for a business I work for. This has been working fine for over 7 years, but suddenly, they sent an email saying they were holding on to my payment. They are asking questions and requiring I send them detailed invoices. This is my only source of income. I have already been waiting 3 days since the company sent the payment. I gave them the information they asked for this morning, but have not heard back. What right do they have to keep my paycheck?? This is very upsetting.

They are scammers,100% FRAUD
They are scammers,100% FRAUD. Its been one week only, I started using their service, I sent invoices to our customers for around $2k, They closed my account without giving any reason, Then I applied for merchant appeal, Still no response at all. Now they hold my money for 120 days, After that they will release to my bank account. They are really doing scam in USA Market.
They Kept My 1st Payment 120 days
Opened a Chase Business Account. Was super happy because my personal banker was the best. I needed to process a credit card payment and choose to use the service that was right inside my checking account. Seemed simple enough. Clicked a few buttons and was ready to go. Took the payment, green check mark, customer support happy with the books I sold him and I was happy the payment went through. One day later, payment not showing up in my account. Next day, email from WePay stating that they couldn't release it into my account. After days of email and phone calls, I get an email in the middle of the night saying they're keeping my payment, my money that I need like yesterday, for ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FxCKING DAYS!! How is this even possible? This has to be illegal. Someone commented that they're keeping the money and gaining interest at our expense. Class Action Lawsuit anyone?
I WISH I WOULD OF READ THE REVIEWS
I WISH I WOULD OF READ THE REVIEWS. I run a small state business and decided to give WEPAY a try. I signed up through my CHASE business bank account. I decided to send one of my customers the payment link so that he can make payment. I received an email after 8:00pm in regards to Your payout has failed. WHERE IS THE STATES MONEY????? WE PAY IS A SCAM. IM CALLING MY LAWYER
We canceled your 05/20/2023 withdrawal of $$$$.
Common causes of a failed withdrawal:
The admin name on the account is not the name on the bank account. For security reasons, the financial admin must match the name of the account we're sending money to.
The bank account number is invalid or mistyped.
The routing number is incorrect. Some banks use a different routing number than the one printed on your checks for electronic ACH transfers. We recommend contacting your bank to verify the correct number to use.
If you've already entered in new bank account information, we will initiate a new transfer of funds as soon as possible. We typically allow 2-5 business days for transactions like this to complete.
If you need any help, or have any questions, let us know by responding directly to this email.
Beware WePay
We setup a new WePay account (through Freshbooks), and WePay held our first payment for over 7 days, & then decided to refund the payment without any exact reason. Here's the exact message they gave us (below):
"We request that this payment be processed outside of WePay. Our banks and processors hold us to a strict guideline on what we can and cannot process through our site. Because of the proprietary nature of our review process, we are unable to share exact details."
Shady, and shows ill-intent towards small business. Beware this company.
WePay has the worst service in the industry and holds funds hostage!
We processed around $90,000 in our first month with WePay while we were still Chase Paymentech customers. We liked the idea behind the wifi enabled smart terminals. (We had tried Square, but Chase has better interchange pricing.)
Like most of the other reviews, WePay held our funds for a week at a time and when you call, you get read a script about their trust and safety team doing a review.
Not one time in our decade with Chase Paymentech were reviews like this ever done, and our business has almost no chargebacks and we only do payments in person.
Stay away! WePay seems to operate like a rogue state within Chase. Frankly, I'm surprised whoever at Chase oversees this division puts up with them. Other Chase services always seem reliable and competitive to others in the marketplace.
Week long delays are not acceptable. We are fortunate to have money in the bank, but if we had been depending on these deposits, we would have not been able to make payroll twice.
WePay is worth a 0 star
WePay is worth a 0 star. Chase kept sending me invitation cards at least four or 5 times inviting me to open a Chase Integrated Payment Solutions account/WePay account. They lured me with a bonus of $1000. I finally opened an account and started to charge a customer, but they suddenly closed my account without any warning when I was just about to meet all the requirements to get the bonus. I planned on using their system for clients who prefer to pay with a credit card but they not only disrupted my business and made me lose money but also made me feel like I was scammed. I appealed with all my valid documents but they still kept my account closed. I was so disappointed that I closed all my accounts with Chase because I cannot stand any lies like this. Except for WePay, Chase bank was a great bank, I have to say, based on my own experience with them so far.
This is the worst I can't even do a job…
This is the worst I can't even do a job with we pay they suck. I have $300 that got paid around the 6th of May and now it's the 13th and they say another settlement is gonna happen the next day but it never does. I'm so pissed at this company
Held My Funds
I have been using WePay for a few months now. I have an accounting firm that I just opened up in November and I use Xero pretty exclusively and WePay was one of the options that interfaced directly with Xero.
I typically would receive the money sent by clients within 1-2 days. Their website advertises that they send funds the very next day. However, I was paid a deposit on the 6th and on the 8th and have not received either of those deposits yet. I have not been able to make payroll and my own personal bills are going to be late.
I have spoken to customer service and they say it is a "under a normal state of review by our Trust & Safety Team" and that they had particularly high volume. I have used several other processors and have NEVER had this issue. We are going on day 6 that they have just randomly held my money hostage.
I did some internet digging and found that they have over 122 complaints with the BBB, there are a ton of reviews in different places describing the same situation. DO NOT use this company if you have people and bills to pay. This is completely unethical as they market towards small businesses who very much need those funds to continue to operate. And they do this with no communication to the account holder.
Save yourself the trouble, there are a ton of payment processors out there who don't pull stunts like this. You would think with the Chase logo they would do better, but it is just smoke and mirrors.
please stay away
please stay away. This company is totally dishonest. They make claims that they can give you same day deposit, What they don't tell you is every Credit card sale you run will go through an internal review and pay you within 1 to 5 business days. Meanwhile they keep Your money for the entire time. I have found this Company to
be completely unethical. The customer service representatives can't do anything about the claims The company make. All they will tell you about your money is that it is in an ineternal review. I have been a customer for less than 2 weeks. I have had every one of my credit cards sales go through an internal review. They are sponsered by chase so they keep this money by multi millions and earn imtrest on it all this time. This company should be looked into by US Banking commision. what they do is Is fraudulent. It is a genuis scam that only hurts the Businesses they have as customers and there employees. These action have cost me
the ability to pay my employees and have forced me pay late charges on my rent. I have no idea how chase bank could be in bed with such a company.
Absolutely terrible company
I can't understand how this company is allowed to do business. They've now held an over $10,500 payment for 12 days without any communication in regards to why. My customer states it processed from their credit card within 2 days. Terms star review can take 1 to 2 business days and then 1 to 3 business days to be deposited in account. Chase is just as much at fault, as this is their company but their customer service days they can't do anything and to contact wepay. Wepay has no contact number and won't reply to emails.
WePay is a terrible company and I do…
WePay is a terrible company and I do not recommend it. I tried to disregard all the negative reviews and continued with joining them through Keap (formerly infusionsoft) and accepted two payments and immediately got my account revoked by them. Do not use them - they do not even have a phone number to contact and you’ll go back and forth via email a billion times before they find a resolution. I am not in a high risk business nor did I commit any fraud.
