When I ordered my wallpaper I was never made aware that it was being sent from Italy. Having paid a lot of money for the wallpaper, I then found out that I had to pay a further £90 tax for it to enter England.

To hang the wallpaper I paid a highly skilled wallpaper expert with 20 years’ experience.

Having been pasted twice, trying to get each sheet lined up perfectly on the wall with each other is virtually impossible. The sheets stretch to slightly different sizes, so the patterns cannot match. There is overlap and gaps because of the different sizes of each sheet. Some pieces of wallpaper kept falling off the wall, and lots of bubbling occurred.

In the end I had to communicate with a person at wallpapers4beginners via WhatsApp for help.

One of the replies stated: “The way our wallpaper is designed may require some unique handling, especially regarding tension when smoothing out the sheets”.

If a decorator with 20 years of wallpaper hanging experience couldn’t manage the “unique handling” required, how could a beginner be expected to do this?

Had my decorator given up, (which looked very likely at one stage), I enquired whether I could get a full refund if I returned their product. But wallpapers4beginners said they wouldn’t give me a full refund, only for the unused sheets!

This is my decorator’s review:

I am a decorator for over 20 years. Today I was putting up wallpaper which states ‘for beginners’. I’ve been wallpapering for 20 years and class myself as an expert. I cannot believe after following the instructions to the letter to hang this product, that I struggled to get it all aligned. The paste was extremely thin and paper kept peeling off the wall. (Walls had been prepped and dust free). I would not be using or recommending Wallpapers4Beginners to any other clients.

The wallpaper from these folks is high quality! The product is stunning! Working with them is easy! Delivery is fast and reliable! The final product is a beautiful room that I will love for years to come!

Love it! Arrived quickly & was packed safely. I used it to mat some prints and it looks great. I didn't use the glue, just secured it with the back of the frame.
Keep in mind these are rectangle poster size sheets, not a roll.

The wallpaper is beautiful and I love my room and the vibe it gives. Fast shipping and great customer service!

Spedizione velocissima

Beautiful wallpaper! Used it in our nursery for a surprise gender baby! It inspired me to design the entire room around the wallpaper. I was a bit intimidated by the application process because I’m used to peel and stick but this design was worth it. A few application tips: use a sponge rather than a brush to apply to glue for a more even spread, make sure you measure and check the leveling of your wall corners and ceiling as they are rarely level so you know how to compensate for these imperfections. You might need to overlap the corner of the wall and ceiling of the adjacent walls and ceiling are not level. If you do overlap, don’t let that wallpaper adhere to those walls/ ceiling as it will be difficult to remove once dried. I love this wallpaper and am very proud to show it off!

I love everything about this wall paper. My first shipment got damaged by the carrier. I reached out to the company and just like that, they sent me a whole new roll. My contractor had to find a better paste and he also took his time installing but it turned out beautifully. Highly recommend.

Queda impresionante-
Muy satisfecha con el resultado.

We looked at several different sites to choose a wallpaper that would make a statement and a chia wallpaper for beginners via Maidon de Monde. We're very happy with the quality of the paper, the design itself (we were worried it wouldn't look like commercial photos), but most importantly the customer service support. I was concerned that my measurements were correct (and therefore bought more than I thought I needed) and they asked me to send my measurements. I was then assured that my purchase would be enough for our room. The customer service response was incredibly quick (I'm not used to that since COVID!) and the advice and service I've received has always been friendly and professional. Friends were impressed with the result and we are more than happy to give this product and the company a 5 star review!

👍: beautiful design, competitive price, excellent assistance, very satisfactory result so far. It is not difficult to apply if you follow the instructions to the letter.

But… there are things to know before buying or applying it:
- (maybe obvious, but...) there must be at least 2 of you, alone it is totally impossible.
- the installation procedure takes a LONG time due to the fact that the sheets must be treated with glue and left to dry before applying them. To process a few sheets at a time and save time you also need a lot of space.
- the glue supplied by them is very liquid; we mixed it with a little less water and the result was better. In retrospect we would have used even less water. The next day we still had to touch up all the joints between one sheet and another.
- although we were told that there would not be this problem, some sheets experienced a slight shrinkage during drying, which in some cases caused very thin white lines to appear between one sheet and another. I recommend never attaching the sheets flush and instead overlapping them by 2-3 mm.

Having said that, however, the final result is very beautiful and I am satisfied. Durability must be evaluated over time.

However, it must be considered in the judgment that it is an "ancient" style wallpaper which costs considerably less than more modern examples; given the lower price, some difficulties or small defects can be easily accepted in my opinion.

Great quality! I love that the delivery was swift

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Paper is thin, paste is like water.. the paper swells and warps on the wall making it IMPOSSIBLE to hang. So expressive and not worth the stress and hassle! Followed every step to a T. So devestated.

This was the easiest wallpaper I’ve ever used! I was certain it was going to be difficult considering the pattern I chose, but it was so simple. The sheets were easy to maneuver and the designs matched up perfectly on every sheet. I would HIGHLY recommend this product!

Wallpaper (Vintage whales) delivery arrived well packaged and promptly. An expensive and time consuming paper to work with, but worth this for the finished look.. just as we were hoping. Finishes our bathroom beautifully. Love the whales! 4 stars given as free brush did not arrive and had to pay extra tax on delivery that I did not know about.
I would order from company again.
