Great DC powered AC for off grid camping. Running the Velit 3500 24v off of 440 watts of solar system for peak hours (~5 hours per day) and still have plenty of left over power to spare. Sips energy, spits cold air, everything I needed it to do.

Great product! Love it!

Product arrived wreaking of gasoline. Seemed used. Missing parts. Incredible delays.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Velit Camping has been incredibly disappointing.

After my AC unit showed an E8 error, I followed Velit's instructions and waited some weeks for a replacement condenser fan unit, paying out of my pocket to ship the part from the UK to my current location.

Despite installing the part exactly as instructed, the same error persisted: the fan doesn't move, the compressor tries to start but stops after a few seconds, and the unit remains unusable in the middle of summer.

I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails over several weeks asking for help or escalation. Aside from one vague reply saying they were “communicating with the manufacturer,” I’ve received no real support, no technical assistance, and no urgency at all.

This is unacceptable for a product at this price point. Velit seems unprepared to offer proper post-sale support. At this point, I feel abandoned by the company after doing everything on my end: following instructions, paying shipping, waiting patiently. My AC still doesn’t work, and summer is almost gone.

Would strongly caution others to think twice before buying — because when things go wrong, you may be on your own.

Product arrived quickly. However unboxing the product two of the vents were kind of broken. Seem to be unhinged. Wrote an email and no response in weeks about the issue.

The unit installed very nicely, has been water type for a year and is cooling the van down in eco mode at 450 W...... very nice low power.

I bought the 12V VELIT Rooftop Air Conditioner for my RV last year and it has been a total game changer. I can run the VELIT off of my solar and/or generator in remote places in extreme heat now. Love it!

Heater and A/C. Both are working great. I appreciate that they are continually making improvements to their products and offering them as upgrades to existing ones. Was able to add a CO2 sensor and Bluetooth to the heater. Really good customer service.

Ordered the diesel heater from Velit. Found that a piece was damaged in the packaging when I opened it. I contacted them to let them know. They replaced it immediately no questions asked! Great customer service!!

Velit has great products, but they have the best customer service ! Worked with Chen to solve some upgrade and subsequent issues (caused by myself) and he was an absolute champ to get me sorted out !

So far I am happy with the hardware, the functionality and the documentation of my Mini 2000R. Installed quickly in the previous cutout for a previous MaxxFan. There are some potential areas for more detail in the installation instructions - for instance recommendations on adding structure to the mounting area before clamping (there are aftermarket products which make that a lot easier); and description of when to use different length of threaded rods would be helpful. But, I realize it’s very hard to design for all applications and vehicles.

My only remaining issue is that the remote control is not working well. It’s almost like the IR receiver is in the back of the unit, so you can’t get line of sight with the remote control unless you are directly underneath or very close to the air conditioner. I currently have to climb back into the bed of my van, which is not ideal.

But otherwise I’m happy and would recommend it to others. The profile on top of the van is very compact! I recommend following existing installation guides for MaxxFans and 14” square cutouts in van forums as a starting point, if not installed professionally.

Ordered and received the Velit 2000R 12 volt after watching comparison videos on YouTube. I have a 2021 Coachmen Galleria that came with a Premier 12v air conditioner which absolutely doesn’t adequately cool the van while traveling through the Arizona and Texas deserts. Installed the Velit with no problems then went on our trip through the desert. Now a much happier camper able to sleep better with a/c that works so much better in spite of a lower btu rating than before. When the temps are over 100 this Velit can’t cool the entire van but sleep is good since it is installed over the bed and the cool air is very nice even if the rest of the space is warmer. It came packed very well and quality seems top notch. I would have liked to have the 24v version of this with a higher btu but I couldn’t easily convert to 24v. I’m still a happy camper

I’ve had problems with my heater, but discovered it was related to connectors on my fuel tank and not the heater itself. Having figured the issue out and making a minor modification to the fuel system, my heater is working properly. Velit customer support has been amazing through this process including sending me a second heater, which I used to troubleshoot the fuel system issue. They never left me hanging and always responded. This review would be an easy 5 if not for the fuel system issue.

I have not had it installed yet as the weather here in Canada has being raining a lot .. but am looking forward to enjoying your product soon.. I have done a lot of research and am of the opinion that I made a wise choice in DC.air conditioning for my van built.. thank you.. Marty

The order/delivery process took quite a while. Multiple times I tried to contact for order inquiries but got no response.
The item arrived and before it could be installed I had to order another heat shield with a ring that would protect the flooring. The shield that came with the heater is for an unfinished van floor, metal.

The customer service did an excellent job describing what the product when I called in and refunded me for something I ordered but was on my unit. I have finally installed my AC and it works incredibly well.
