From start to finish, everyone that I have dealt with has been lovely.

The fitters for my doors completed the work amazingly and in great time. Massively happy with the products made and installed.

Good communication throughout was able to pick up the phone and call anytime. Door fitted really nicely and quality is great. Couple of delays right at the end on some finishing touches, but these were sorted very quickly. Happy customer.

Nothing but problems!

Had every window and door redone with this company, initially a good start- despite a letter box not being added to the frame which we ordered and told to buy a letter box and would be reimbursed. Shock, that didn’t happen. Then took over two weeks and booking more time off work before work had been completed due to them not booking builder when required.

Called continuously to get this booked in and query why we were told it would done over the initial two day fitting period. Got brushed off every time, rude, swore at, and hung up on.

Installation in the final window got completed and then had to chace up for the plastering repair work. Same thing when queried.

Had to then get our own plasterer in to repair the plaster that had been done by one of their traders.

We have called about repair work that needed carrying out- cracked door frame, blown seal in bedroom window, front door not closing properly, back door jamming and not locking.

I called and made an appointment for some to attend to address all these issues, the day before I got a call to rearrange- couldn’t due to work commitments and asked if they are still going to attend appointment, was assured that they would and it would be a morning call out.

Shock surprise, no one turned up- not even a phone call to cancel so a day stuck at home for no further progress. Tried calling a number of times and no answer from them company.

We had our initial fitting two years ago, wanting to give them the chance to make arrangements for repairs but still this far down the line they aren’t interested.

Avoid at all costs. Absolutely shocking.

We had almost all of our windows and doors replaced and we’re very happy with the finished product. The installers themselves were good, polite, and left the house clean and tidy. However, the overall experience was let down by poor communication and aftercare.

After the initial install, it took over a month to sort a broken window pane and a damaged frame. During that time, we had to chase constantly for updates, experienced repeated missed call-backs, and were often left with no clear information.

We escalated the issues and spoke to managers and directors, but despite reassurance during calls, progress was slow and follow-through was inconsistent, which was frustrating and stressful.

The end result is good, but the after-sales service and communication definitely need improvement. If any issues arise after installation, be prepared to chase to get them resolved.

Reported to ICO for nuisance phone calls. They have called twice a week for months and refuse to stop.
Nice reply but already did this and it made no difference.

Today we have had completion of extensive cladding to front & side of our house. This work was completed by Kam & Onkar who were both extremely diligent & pleasant in their professionalism. The standard of work is extremely & we are delighted with the work completed plus left the area tidy. Can only recommend very highly.

6 x and 2 x Doors fitted over 10 / 11 Nov by a great man called Sunday. what a great product they have when it comes to windows and doors and security.

what a guy Sunday (the fitter ) is ! work was methodical and very tidy and kept a clean work area and aware that he is working on somebody's house and respects you and your property.
From point of sales Universal windows have been great and informative so you know when your items will be fitted to suit your availability.

As an experienced Head of Business and seasoned Business Analyst, I voluntarily immersed myself in this company's operations for three days to assess its foundation, culture, and management practices. My professional conclusion is that this organization operates as a scam and a highly unethical enterprise whose core focus is pure profit with a blatant disregard for both customer welfare and employee rights.
Serious Concerns: Legal & HR Compliance
The company demonstrates a shocking lack of adherence to basic employment law:
Unregistered Employees: Staff are not registered on the company payroll.
No Contracts or Background Checks: I was hired without any formal contract, ID verification, or background check. This suggests an alarming level of negligence, raising serious concerns about the safety and vetting of the individuals being sent to customers' homes.
Compensation and Benefits: Employees are paid a near-illegal minimum wage of £4 per hour (significantly below the national minimum wage), with vague promises of commission that appear unlikely to materialize. There are absolutely no contractual guarantees, employee rights, or insurance coverage for accidents or injury while working.
Operational and Strategic Failures
The business operations are marked by severe incompetence and a complete absence of strategy:
Management Quality: The door-to-door teams are overseen by individuals who appear to be uneducated and unprofessional, creating a culture of disrespect and mob-like behavior.

Exploitation of Young Staff: Young employees (aged 18–19) are treated like "stupid puppets or slaves," subjected to high levels of slang, vulgarity, and a lack of basic courtesy.
Flawed Sales Strategy: There is no strategic planning or targeting whatsoever. Teams are sent out to knock on doors indiscriminately—including council houses, homes of the elderly who can barely stand, very poor individuals, and luxury homes that have no need for the product. This lack of analysis wastes time and demonstrates a professional negligence that guarantees low conversion rates.

Working Conditions and Human Rights Violations
The working environment is deeply inhumane and violates basic human dignity:
Lack of Basic Amenities: Despite being shown a toilet and microwave on the first day, employees are denied the right to use a toilet or take a proper lunch break during an 8-hour shift (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
Dehumanizing Breaks: The only "break" consists of parking near a supermarket to buy food with their meager wages and being forced to relieve themselves outdoors "like an animal" (between bushes).
Religious Discrimination: As a Muslim, I asked for prayer time accommodations, which were initially granted. However, once operations began, the company showed an "animal side," refusing to let staff leave on time, take proper breaks, or even use the restroom if they had not secured a sale.
Ethical and Discriminatory Practices
I observed a deeply disturbing and self-defeating racist attitude within the company:
Racism and Poor Judgment: The company, despite being run by Asian individuals, reportedly advises employees to avoid pitching to Asian customers because they are perceived as being "too willing to bargain." This is an ignorant and politically inept strategy, especially considering that approximately 31% of homeowners in the West Midlands are of Asian descent.
My Experience with Leadership
Upon completing my three-day immersion, I compiled a detailed report recommending agile management practices and strategies to stabilize the business, based on my extensive business analyst experience.

I requested a meeting with one of the company's founders via his son (who appears to be managing operations). My offer of professional help was met with a dismissive and aggressively unprofessional response. I was told that if I was unwilling to continue knocking on doors, I could "fck off." This response, delivered by someone whose only credential appears to be his father's position, highlights the company's deeply uneducated, immature, and fundamentally hostile leadership culture.
In summary, this company is not merely poorly managed; it is predatory toward its employees and customers and operates outside of established legal and ethical standards.

We had a front door fitted on 30th Oct. I was unhappy with the lack of communication during the day. I spoke to Nick the Installation Manager. He was patient, listened to my concerns then reassured me. Promised a call back, which he did next day. Had a couple of small snags. The
Engineer was there within the hour and snags were sorted, thanks to Engineer Phil who used to live in our street! This is a very solid door and top quality. Thanks.

Exceptional service and aftercare, superb quality windows, I shopped around but nothing came close, highly recommend using universal windows, Nick and the team are very professional and patient. Had some very minor issues after we had hot weather last year where sealant around bay window was coming away they rectified the problem quickly. Flawless sales and aftercare, had front windows last year and they finished the back last week all in all bay, front door and 9 windows fitted, highly recommend and will definitely use these guys again. Thanks again !
