First time using umbrella and so far very easy and very pleasant . Mollie Burgess was friendly and ran through everything and answered every question I had so I knew exactly what was agreed.

I am a professionalist and my experience with Umbrella.co.uk has been a disaster.
Archaic IT Systems: Their portal has absurd password requirements (two capital letters, symbols, etc.) that are not user-friendly. When I raised this as a barrier to my onboarding, I was met with a dismissive 'safeguarding' excuse.
Lack of Proactivity: Despite having my agency's details, they failed to pick up the phone for several days to finalise my setup until I provided the number and forced them to do their job.
Dismissive Customer Service: Instead of resolving issues to ensure I get paid for my work, their 'Customer Services' team sent generic, unhelpful responses.
I have now terminated my registration and demanded a full GDPR erasure of my bank details and personal data . If you value your time and want a modern, professional service, look elsewhere.
UPDATE: Your response confirms exactly what I stated: a rigid, archaic system that prioritises "standardised" hurdles over professional efficiency. Security is essential, but modern systems manage it without obstructing the user.
More importantly, your reply completely ignores the point about your lack of proactivity and dismissive customer service. While you were debating password criteria, other providers managed to onboard me in minutes via email with far superior service. I have already moved to a provider that actually values my time. Please confirm once my data has been fully erased as requested.

I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere thanks to Nick, George, and Emily for their outstanding support last Friday, the 13th. Despite what I know was a very busy period, they remained professional, patient, and extremely supportive throughout.
They went above and beyond to help resolve my payment issue, and I’m pleased to say everything has now been sorted. Their efficiency, communication, and reassurance during what was a stressful situation for me made a real difference.

I registered with this Company today as a first-time Contractor and needed an Umbrella company to use. I had a first telephone call (with Liam) to talk me through how it all works and received a personalised statement of gross pay, all deductions and net take home pay.
I had a second call (with Hannah), at a convenient pre-arranged time, to walk me through the on-boarding process.
Both staff were deeply knowledgeable in the details and competently explained all aspects and answered questions. Both were very attentive and obviously keen to provide good service.
The on-boarding experience was very fast and slick, and largely completed over the telephone. I then received electronic confirmation and an invitation to review and electronically sign the contract. Once signed I received copies of the documents immediately.
I went from having no knowledge to being fully set up within two days, but this could have been done in under an hour if I had wanted. I chose to take longer to understand it all.
This is a great company and highly recommended.
