We wanted to replace our carpets on the first floor landing and change the fully carpeted stairs to a runner. Several visits to what you would describe as "national stores" led us to look at local businesses with great reviews. Hence our choice to use Smiths. From checking out the website to visiting the shop it's quickly apparent that Trevor and the team are the experts with strait talking advice and options to consider. Within a month we had everything taken care of with a great product and service. Professional, very competitive pricing and a job done really well. Many thanks

Overall, we were happy with Smiths Carpet. The service we received when visiting the showroom was great - the team were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the selection process.

The fitters were also very impressive; they clearly took pride in their work, took their time, and ensured everything was completed to a high standard. Their professionalism and attention to detail were greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the experience became less smooth when it came to receiving the quote and invoice. My email address was initially recorded incorrectly, and although this was later corrected, the system was apparently not updated properly, which caused further delays in receiving important documents. We were also initially told that payment by credit card would require an in-store visit, only to then be informed while on the way to the store that this was unnecessary and a payment link could have been sent instead.

While the showroom experience and fitting service were both very positive, the administrative side could definitely benefit from better communication and organisation

We have just had another room carpeted with Smiths, yet again we are absolutely delighted with everything.
We love going into the shop and seeing Lisa (she puts up with me very well!!) always have a great laugh and she is brilliant at helping us find the right carpet. Dale works so quickly and tidily and always leaves a great job.
We'll be back soon to get the lounge done!

Trevor and his team did a fantastic job laying the Karndean flooring in my flat. All the works were carried out with no delay and to the highest standard. A big thank you to Lewis who was very accommodating and helpful when I asked them to postpone the start of the works.

Ordered our new carpet for the lounge/ dining after taking helpful advice from Trevor, Lewis of Smiths flooring in their show room.
Carpet was fitted on a date that suited us giving Smiths Flooring two weeks notice.
We had chosen to remove the old carpet and underlay ourselves prior to the installation date but Smiths flooring will carry this out for you if this is your preferred option.
We cleared the lounge and dining room of furniture on the carpet fitting day which enabled the carpet fitter to fit the new underlay and carpet in one afternoon. Very nice new carpet fitted very well. Area left clean and tidy and the fitter was very polite

I would go to this shop time and time again, the quality of carpet is amazing and I just don’t know why I kept going to a larger shop these were brilliant and knew what they were talking about

We were made very welcome when we visited the shop and Lewis was extremely helpful. No pressure sales. The whole process from helping us choose the right kitchen flooring, getting a quote, then paying, arranging a date and the laying of kitchen floor went without a hitch. Very pleased and WOULD definitely recommend.

Lewis was very polite and helped us pick out a great quality carpet and underlay. Very professional would definitely use again.
