Avoid. People running it don't care about you only taking your money! Incredible rude, arrogant and lazy. The class was not great. It was a follow my lead at a very slow pace. Took 30mins for something that could have been 10. However most others managed to make a pot. Chap running the class was a nice guy gave me the demo. Could have helped me remake it wouldn't have taken long. He didn't have time to explain the next stages as the next group had started. That's super poor. Made mistake of paying to fire pots. The auto email didn't work, even went in person several times to arrange. They refused to resolve and told me it was my fault! They a vindictive and email with out name so they can be rude. Also threaten to ban me from the pottery and break the pots unless I apologised when I politely as them to sort out there business (in email). Got pots fired. Marked due to careless handing from them. Awful attitude avoid them. Fyi the client does know what auto response is and it was not working pre Christmas. That's your issue to resolve. If you cared and bothered to check you'd realise this instead of blaming me. Don't blame me for you incompetent! Note many people have this issue this should be a clue it's you problem to solve rather than blaming your paying clients!

I purchased 2 tickets from time out, yet when I tried to book as per their instructions, they kept telling me that my codes were invalid. Now I receive no response from token studio. I have tried via their webchat as well as several emails. Yet they are not responding. All I wanted was to participate in the experience but they just won't get back to me. This has to be by far the worst customer service I have received. This has been ongoing for 3 weeks now!

Paid over £60 for them to loose my pottery - only found out it was missing once we made the long journey back to London to collect it as there is no delivery service. They have ignored my emails on multiple occasions. I emailed them in March 2024 and May 2024 - no response. I also messaged them on their website via the live chat - no response. VERY RUDE.

Booked a BYOB pottery workshop on Groupon. Attended my workshop, everything good. Floor staff was friendly but it seemed they needed more staff around. If you want your pots fired, you got to pay extra (this was not specified on the terms and conditions on Groupon), but fine. Could not make it the pickup date and message them on IG, they responded FAST that I could come in. I did. Pots were lost. Send 3 to 4 emails and messaged them on IG. Left on 'read' and ignored. Came back to the studio to find out they had found one pot, and I was promised they would take considerable action if the other pot was missing or broken. They finally came back to me via email to say the other pot was destroyed but that when redeeming the voucher I agreed to not being able to have a refund once the coupon was redeemed OR if issues like these happen.

So I paid for the coupon, plus extra £10 for the firing only for my pot to get destroyed. Left empty handed. I understand mistakes happen and that is okay but your back of house customer service is horrid and the fact you did not even try to offer any other kind of compensation or resolution suck - moreover after I had to chase you.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Our teacher was grumpy and didn’t give proper instructions, they are hugely understaffed and so there is never anyone around to answer questions or reply to emails, and they broke both of our pots and didn’t apologise or offer a refund. Pottery making is great fun, just don’t do it at Token Studio!

Me and my friend had a lovely time on Saturday , the session is so fun and interactive would deffo do again :)

Fantastic experience! Really enjoyed it as a fun night out with the girls. Really cool and vibrant area too and looking forward to coming back to pick up my amazing bowl! Highly recommend!

I had an awful experience trying to redeem a voucher. The process was incredibly frustrating, as I encountered numerous technical issues with the voucher code. When I reached out for help, the response over email was unhelpful and only added to my frustration. Instead of resolving the problem efficiently, I was given the runaround, making the entire experience unnecessarily difficult. This was a huge disappointment, and I expected much better customer support.

I did the BYOB pottery throwing experience with my sister as a birthday gift and she loved it. We were instructed on how to to do the pottery throwing, design our pieces and then we were able to paint them at the end. And to add to the fun we were able to drink whilst creating :). Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t done it before

I’ve always wanted to do pottery throwing and this was the perfect first experience!! I came with my sister and had a greattt time! We created really cute pots and were able to paint them at the end☺️. The staff were so lovely and it was all together a really nice experience🥰!

This was my second time coming to token studio in their new studio. It was actually such an incredible atmosphere. The employees were welcoming and very kind and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience and I will come again!

Did the Ultimate Pottery Experience with 4 friends for a belated birthday celebration & we had the best time! So much fun & it was a BYOB event so enjoyed it with our favourite bottle of wine. Tutor was great at showing us how to use the pottery wheel & very friendly & then we were given the opportunity to customise & paint our ceramics. So much fun to do - would definitely recommend!

Had a lovely evening at the token studio on the byob pottery experience which I bought my friend for her birthday. It was a nice chilled evening, perfect for beginners. The steps were simple to follow and there was someone to help if / when it went wrong! Great way to spend a couple hours with a friend, date, with your mum!

If I could give 0 stars I would. A gift for a friend was an absolute disaster.

The staff are rude, ignorant and full of it. I am so glad I am not the only one and my friend about the lack of care, customer service and support.

Let's just say you pay cheap, you get cheap. I would never recommend this studio to anybody, the reviews say it all! Whether beginner or not, absolutely no chance. Upon arrival there was no health and safety as stated on the "arrive 20 minutes beforehand email" which made sense to our whole experience afterwards.

It seems that this class went from Natural Aromatherapy Soap Making "Cold Press Method" to all of a sudden Melt & Pour. Im not the first to have been mistaken of this, otherwise I would never have booked this. Sodium Hydroxide, yes it makes LYE but can be a hazardous substance if the incorrect health and safety is not permitted, which is for this case. (you can also use other hydroxide less toxic such as magnesium hydroxide) it can cause serious skin irritation and in many cases dermatitis and develop underlying tissue issues.... although things are "classified as safe" it was not handled with the right health and safety precautions.

People look for natural because they may have sensitive requirements! (I have mentioned this part because NO health and safety protocol was put in place in according to the email sent out about this class prior, you are suppose to wear gloves, long sleeve tops and eye masks throughout the entire making process, even when handling afterwards, so irritation or any product goes on the skin or contact with eyes.)

Secondly this is apparently catered to "individuals needs", but me and my friend only had to touch our settling soap to get red, itchy skin ( which I also stated how we know not to apply them directly on the skin, this was through the soap, I am fully aware that you need carrier oils when applying directly to skin im not stupid as you tried to make us out to be!!) I NEVER complain for nothing, but this was an absolute joke of a workshop, to then send our soaps home in newspaper, with black ink all over it. Like how on earth can we use this on the skin? There was no love or care into this workshop the woman literally stood on her phone behind the desk. She didn't even check my friends' soap when it was time to leave, it was so half hearted and embarrassing. When there is no health and safety put in place a consumer has the rights to question the many concerns of how and what I/we are being exposed too, because there was no guidelines or education like other soap workshops do.

DONT ATTEND.

Update: they still avoiding that they are responsible for lack of health and safety with intense chemicals that still irritated skin lol. (all you need to do is watch many videos of chemistry herbalists, naturopaths, aromatherapists etc whether the method used is melt & pour OR cold press to see the health and safety precautions they use before and after handling & this is for free knowledge, the basics!

You put a lot of people at risk with your lack of care, and you proved it. You are not taking responsibility for it and it is disgusting that you are still even operating and not being responsible for it !!) it doesn't matter what is written by GOV UK at this point something in your space had gone wrong during and after so stop trying to use science when the problem still happened and it still shows on that document that irritation can still happen. The last thing im going to say is CORROSIVE is still toxic! IT still means it can cause skin irritation, burns and eye damage!

Honestly the pettiness of your response is outrageous, you have no evidence of us spraying anything on to our skin, I already told you that I would never spray an essential oil on our skin. You are just trying to justify your lack of health and safety that you didn't follow through with. No, I could go on and on about the newspaper all over my soap, I could go on about the lack of care during and at the end of class, I could also go on and on about how others through this was a cold press session as well.

Your reviews here and disgusting language and behaviour used with your clients on here and in the studio are more than enough evidence that this place needs to shut down. You are ignoring the fact that we walked out your class with skin irritation and unhappy care. Like I said, I am not backing down and will take this further like many others have.

Well if you knew so much about science and chemistry then why have you allowed students regardless to use hot methods and chemicals without proper equipment of safety against skin etc.

I recently attended a pottery class at the Token Studio, and it was an absolute delight! The studio itself has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both beginners and more experienced potters. I loved the hands-on experience of moulding the clay and using the pottery wheel. Plus, they provide all the materials you need, so you can just turn up and get creative. It's a fantastic way to unwind and try something new. Highly recommend!
