Fast track system is designed to scam…

Fast track system is designed to scam their customers…. Hidden away in the massive T&C’s they say they won’t refund you if the ride closes…. Awful customer experience.

Thrope Park was great growing up, coming back as an adult has shown me why I’ve not been in years!

£12 for parking is joke also. Clearly not many people are enjoying the park by the look of your reviews.

Worst experience at a theme park ever

I came to the park with my disabled son as part it the buy one get one free offer. After queuing for nearly 2 hrs just to get in my son, who is autistic and has ADHD was nearly beside himself. When we got to the gates we were told our tickets weren't valid as the system had booked them for the same date as the original ticket which was shocking.

Rather than let us in as I had proof of purchase we were directed to another queue for ticket assistance. This was only one window open for the last day of the holidays and a very busy day. By this point my son was in tears so my friend went to see if she could get help as a lot of the staff were just kicking their heels while we waited and made no attempt to open another window, basically use their heads. This did not help as the member of staff was only handing out carer tickets and it took half an hour to be seen.

This was when we were told that I would have to pay £5 each for the tickets to be reissued but was told, falsely, that I could get my money back.

The park I self is a shambles, run by teenagers who do not care about the customers or their experience. The queues were so long the kids spent most of their time in the pitiful play park but it gave me a chance to go to guest services who said they couldn't issue a refund on the day I'd have to email.

Fast forward several months and I am still locked in an argument what passes for their customer service team who are refusing to refund me as I should have checked the tickets and have taken no responsibility for their system which should not allow two bookings on the same day.

To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. We will not be back.

Totally overcrowded, massive queues

Totally overcrowded - too many tickets sold with queues for rides 90-140 minutes not to mention having queued 90 minutes to get into the park with pre-booked tickets.
Business model is to sell so many tickets that it almost forces people to buy the fast passes (£16-20 a pop) at the expense of visitors. In the 9+ hours we were there we managed 4 rides with the rest of time spent queuing to get in or on a ride.
Oh and you have to pay for parking.
The rides we went on were great. It not worth the cost and time.

Never ever again….absolutely UNACCEPTABLE

Never ever again….
I went yesterday for Halloween Eve(30/10/25) with my family x5 which had x2 disabled people.
After doing one of the scary maze we paid for I was falsely accused of assaulting one of the staff by a security officer at the end of the maze!😳
Not only he was rude, trying to embarrass&intimidate me in front of a crowd as well being surrounded by x7 police officers he was also very unprofessional.First he said he was an accident as I kept repeating that it was a scary maze pich black inside and I may have been jumping scared and accidentally touch the staff he was insisting on saying in my face that I was assaulting a member of staff.I didn’t back down as I never ever assaulted anyone in my all life he took it out of proportion. He said I was issued a verbal warning and would be escorted out if it was happening again in another maze…The all thing was absolutely absurd and left my x2 disabled family members so stressed out that they didn’t want to do any rides or scary mazes! Thank you to the lady who saw the all scene and spoke to one of the manager after that!.One of the staff inside hit her son which can happen again inside is so dark but they had all excuses to bring out.
Never in my life was I accused of something so serious you need to train your security officers about remaining professional and not use criminal vocabulary as in English an assault is a crime!I will not tolerate such choice of words towards my character.
I’m an annual member and will not recommend that place on my platform.
NEVER AGAIN don’t even try to justify this ….
My son is still talking about it as he is autistic and had to calm him down before he could fall asleep thanks for that .
NEVER AGAIN

Money grabbing merchants

Absolutely no point coming to Thorpe park with rude rude rude staff, undertrained and more rude, they offer a RAP card which is a disability card, which you can go on a ride then wait (however long that ride estimated time was, for example if hyperia was 120 mins you would have to wait 2 hours till you can go on your next ride, so technically a virtual que). What dosent make sense to me is, if my partner has a disability which she can’t stand for longer that 30 mins at a time why should she need to wait in a 40 minute hyperia RAP CARD QUE. This is just defeating the point of a RAP card. I find this awful and is just discriminating people with disability’s that they didn’t decide to have. I find Thorpe park a fun day out off season but when the kids are on summer holidays or half term it’s an absolute nightmare would not reccomend for anyone with a disability to go as you do not get looked after at all they just want your money go on max 3-4 rides and go home. If your thinking driving in the next couple days I highly reccomend you don’t and find another attraction to go to where your not going to be treated like absolute s***

Badly managed, money making, no joy business model

Reading all the reviews on this site, i realise much of my anger has already been expressed by others. Thorpe Park runs a business model that is beyond disgusting. Firstly, how can you operate a theme park in the UK that doesn't cater for the rain. We booked for Fright Night. It was pouring with rain and we ended up queuing for 90 minutes. No covered area, no management of expectation and then five or so unfriendly workers bag checking, very slowly, with the lowest grade scanners about 700 people. If the V & A Museum and the like, can get hundreds of people bag checked uber quickly and through the doors then why can't Thorpe Park? After this the first set of toilets had understandably massive queues but the second set of female toilets were closed with no explanation as to why or directions to the next toilets. All the queues for every ride were between 60-90 minutes on average. The food being served is proper low grade rubbish (sad pizza slices, small nachos bowls and tomato pasta etc) and massively over priced. There is no sense of joy or great customer service anywhere. The rides are good but it's hard to appreciate the one minute of brilliance after such a shit experience waiting to get on. It could be so much better but as it is it's just a money making exercise.

Disgusting way to treat humans let…

Disgusting way to treat humans let alone teenagers. Expecting them to wait over TWO hours to go on a 3 minute ride.. Soooo bad ..
My daughter is Disabled ( autistic dyspraxic and physically unable to wait in these queues) and she tries to get an access card as she is entitled for 2 weeks.. but the website would not allow her. when she explained at the entrance They said rhey don't care its very busy. Left her crying as ahe had to sit down for hours on the floor by her self...while her friends waited 4 hours to get on 2 rides for £75.00 .
Inhumane to treat kids like ..especially disabled. I rang 4 times to ask for help and the staff were rude and u empathetic basically said oh well not their problem.
Nasty place .. no other theme park treats kids like this and discriminated against disabled people by not making adjustments to help.them join in .
Shocked.

Massively under-staffed but not under-priced

Expected it to be busy and to be honest bearing in mind half term and fright night was pleasantly surprised. BUT - one security guard per queue (of 100s) to get in - having to search bags and then check everyone through the metal detector is nuts. Everyone fuming long before you even get to the park. Multiple ride closures and three rides in a day just doesn't cut it.

Owners care more about money than customers experience

My sister is disabled and was denied a ride access pass. We were told its all over the website to pre-book the pass. It isnt as clear as they say as I didnt see it. Others in the queue said the same. We managed to get one through someone else cancelling.
When inside, the park is very overcrowded with wait times were between 80-125 minutes - and this was on a Monday.
Multiple rides kept being closed. We even sat on one and has told to get off as it had broken.
As it was fright night the park was open until 9pm, but even with that and a ride access pass, we only got on 5 rides. Theres no way that anyone without a pass could get on all the coasters and the scaremazes in 1 day. Some groups I spoke to only got on 2 rides in 5 hours.
It didnt feel very scary. Hardly any actors walking around, you get a much better experience at Twinlakes.
My group left feeling very stressed.
Overall, I won't be going again and will not recommend to others.
Save your money and go somewhere else.

Knew it would be busy but this is…

Knew it would be busy but this is ridiculous. Am standing in a queue for an hour, got about another half hour wait, not for a ride this is to get in. Thorpe Park clearly have no concern for customers getting value for money or even customer comfort. Their only concern is make as much money as possible. Avoid it isn’t worth it.

Slow slow slow

As soon as you arrive the car park is a disaster! After a four hour drive we needed an electric charger, for the volume of car there are less than a hand full with cars parked on them that arnt being charged, asked the cap park attendant if there were any more to which he replied yes pointed in the direction of more but didn’t mention that there was no way of getting to them as all routs are one way in the same way so you are unable to go back to the bottom of the car park.
Next an hour queue to get into resort, we were there early every r rollercoaster by 11am 90-115 mins wait time. We did fast track but still only 3 coasters in 4 hours. The saw took us 1 hour to get on with fast track.
Fright night at an extra cost was fun but again long wait times in the rain, rain to be expected in October why don’t they erect some kind of shelters!
Won’t be back

Rip off theme park

Paid £164 for granddaughters to visit fright night. Was so busy they actually didn’t get on any rides and the one they did get broke down. Disgusting that they letting in so many people at nearly £50 each and you get nothing for it. They queued for the mazes which was extra payment. Which they enjoyed but no time to do rides. Just think it’s a rip off especially as travelled over two hours to attend

This place is a joke

This place is a joke. Management care about money only that's why this place is always overcrowded.
Paying bare money for entry ticket and you have to queue at least 2 hours for each ride.
If you pay additional £20 fastrack(for each ride) then you queueing only 1 hour.
So once you there all day expect to enjoy max. 5-6 rides. Never again.

Pants pulled down at THORPE PARK!

Would have been better off going to adventure island in Southend. We spent a fortune on four tickets. Queue times of 130 minutes for a rollercoaster is unacceptable. Could have got our family an annual pass at the Hertfordshire zoo for the money we spent. Daylight robbery

Worst Fright Night Ever!

Fright night on Saturday 18th October 2025

This was one of the worst FN I’ve ever been, it was clear the park oversold tickets, the queue to enter was an more than an hour long, the queue rides were on average 120-190 mins. And even if you paid fast track the queue was still 30-60 mins.

Ride Access Pass
As a RAP holder the queue for the Ride Access was over 30mins long or 45 mins for Hyperia which isn’t appropriate as there’s a reason we aren’t able to queue for long. There were too many RAP bookings which made queue’s long as well which meant the amount was controlled at all. The time between rides was ridiculous the staff were instructed to write down the same amount of time the queue on the RAP card which means you had to wait around the park for 2-3 hours.

No stealth at all made it disappointing as that is one of the reasons I even go as it’s my favourite one. The fact you barely make it around the park and only get to go on 4 rides was ridiculous for everyone.

Terrible and rushed scare mazes
The scare mazes were a disappointment I saw people had to wait almost 2 hours each one. Most of the scare mazes were rushed and wasn’t doing the full show due to long queues which is disappointing. £38 for 4 mazes and most of them rushed and not doing the regular show or the maze being cut short just to get customers through is a waste of money/greedy.

Conclusion
Fright night 2025 was a disappointment and a waste of money wouldn’t recommend. The scare zones were also reduced unlike last year and there aren’t actors roaming about just the so called “scare zones”. Food is over priced 2 meals in Burger King was £35. Terrible. Park was oversold, no public safety, extremely busy crowds, disgusting toilets especially swarm covered in cobwebs (not even decoration). Wouldn’t recommend it and I’m not going back £80 for an overcrowded park.

SHOCKING

Went for fight night on a Sunday expected it to be busy but got there at 9:30 before the park even opens took us 1 hour and a half to get through security as it’s not security’s fault but the have 7 people to deal with over 100s of people.

You then pay for a “scare maze” which you walk though in 5 minutes and you would think as you booked a time slot you would wait around max 20 mins you then wait for a further 1 hour to even get in.

Used to come here all the time but it’s went so downhill there just greedy for your money

Don't bother going weekend or school holidays

My daughter was looking forward to going here with her friends.
I find it absolutely disgusting that no health and safety rules apply here. All they care about is money money money and don't care how many people they let in. For this reason it makes the experience very uncomfortable walking around like sardines in a tin, huge queues and welcome you to pay even more to skip the queues. All they seem to care about is profit. There should be online ticket booking only and allow only a certain number of people to enter per day.
My daughter managed to get on 4 rides all day which is absolutely ridiculous and a total disappointment. She will probably never return here because of this experience. THE OWNERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Definitely make sure you pull your kids out of school to go here because otherwise it's no fun at all.

Entry a nightmare.

After all these years, still no toilets in the car park.

So you arrive after a long drive, then cant use a toilet until after you have dome the 30 minute queue to get in!

Yes their are toilets at the entrance. AFTER YOU HAVE ENTERED THE PARK.

Also the place is looking really run down these days.

What a rip off - extortionate doesn't come close

What a rip off. They fleece you for loads of money for everything. £6 for a doughnut. £7 for a hot chocolate. £12 for parking.....and so on. Then the queues are insanely long, but of course they are because the fast track for the day is £65.
Do yourself a favour and go somewhere, anywhere else. It has to be cheaper.

Fright Night 2025-Honest review

Fright Night 2025-Honest review
17th Oct 25 visit, purchased fast passes (excl Hyperia) and entry fee, group of 7.

Usual wait time just to get in, but once inside, atmosphere good with park looking spooky for Halloween but starting to look tired.

Been a few times so looking forward to it but it’s starting to go down hill. Looking tired, a lot of rubbish and not many options for refreshments. Also noticed didn’t seem as busy as previous visits. Maybe all the shocking reviews on trust pilot or just chose a quieter day 🤔

Stealth closed all day with no attempts to reopen. Read reviews this has been quite a common occurrence on rides die to not enough staff??

Many rides closing then reopening throughout the day

Hyperia ride (queue 1 hour) is good but overly hyped (appreciate that’s just my opinion)

Drinks/food overly expensive - can’t claim coffee beans either at Costa (boo)

Ran out of small cups at one of the drinks vendors and could only sell large expensive drinks (basic stuff this…. C’mon Thorpe park)

Didn’t bother with the mazes- after spending a fortune on fast passes for a handful of decent rides (walking dead ride….. don’t waste your time…. Soooo bad), couldn’t face paying out to walk around tired, poor attempt, half arsed sets with student actors jumping out. My opinion, should be included in the cost of the inflated ticket prices for the event!

Swarm and nemesis, great rides, saw, best that day by far. Gutted Stealth closed as that’s the parks best ride IMO.

Overall, good day but so expensive for a tired park that relies on teenagers to rake money in buying expensive food and drink and one off fast track tickets (that’s a p*** poor attempt of cash grabbing Merlin. Seriously, do better!!)

Won’t be going again, Alton Towers on last visit was better, again, a bit tired but all the rides were open, bit cheaper and better atmosphere.

Note to Merlin- start investing some of your massive profits back into Parks as you’ll end up losing customers.
