I have been here quite a few times and…

I have been here quite a few times and whether it be quiet or busy, I have enjoyed myself fully. The rides are amazing and even when there's issues with rides, the staff here are great at informing the public and are great at getting everything back into working order. The number one reason I'd say to visit is....

Harassing staff and bullying culture of staff and employees for 0 reason,what happened is that I have a child who is disabled who suffered from brain cancer and has absent seizures and summarise are too aggressive in terms of how they throw your head around for instance colossus, so I didn’t know about some of these rides tonight, went through because she has a ride access pass so it’s difficult for her to walk as she has right side weakness like within a stroke, we approached a ride and went up with the intention of going on the right, but asked that there’s a party of three me and my daughter and my son and my son was going to gauge what the ride was like to let us know if it was safe for my daughter to use it and not have her head shaking around and possibly cause her a seizure they then said that despite having the need for step free access that because my son wasn’t the one who is on the access pass that we should all have to queue up and obviously my son isn’t gonna queue up on his own because he’s a 12-year-old child, and obviously he’s with his family and he’s not with anybody else and they just expect him to queue up on his own and we are together and all I was asking is if my son could go to just see if it was safe for my daughter to be able to go on because once the ride starts you can’t put your hand up and say that this is hitting my head really hard and I need to get off, then proceeded to take their paper card and not return it to us, because of all of the goings on with this, where a member of staff said no, and then other members of staff said yes that’s fine, let him go on and my son did go on and discovered that his head was been thrown around and it wasn’t going to be suitable for his sister so that point we left and they did not return us our access past we went to another ride and we went on a few other rides and then we got to a particular ride that they let us wait 20 or 30 minutes in the queue without asking us or demanding this access part. Then they let us into the area just before you go onto the ride and at that point start demanding. Where is this access pass I said that I don’t have it I don’t know where it is and I said can you get us a new one and they refuse to get us a new one. They said that if he said he would get us a new one, but then said that I should move to the side and wait for it even though they could literally call accessibility and see when we last went on the ride to know that first of all the access passes valid and that we haven’t been on the ride in the times between rides have been sufficient , but that was not what he chose to do. He chose to call security. They came threatening us harassing us telling us that we’re stopping the ride. We’ve caused all of this and it’s awful. I’m like this is ridiculous you can see that my child is generated disabled not only had the wristband but you can literally see the scar from brain surgery. I mean what do you need to see but I get it they want to go by procedure. They want the book stamped but that’s for them to 1st of all the system wasn’t working as it should be that day, which they admitted to me in the office, saying that we have a card that you can scan which is what I experienced when I went to Chesington, but these people they don’t have that instead they have a card, even though they have a bunch of rides where you get soaking wet and all your belongings will get soaking wet, so I don’t understand how they expect you to always have access to this little piece of paper that’s easily lost that nobody considered my situation my daughters situation in terms of her being able to walk when they’re like I’ll just go down to get services and get a new one. I’m like I can’t do that. Can you get us a new one then they refuse then they called security then he said because I didn’t leave the area where they had put me and I didn’t go there to be moved from pillar to post, and after my daughter can barely stand at that point because she had been standing for 20 minutes, even though this is supposed to be the step free access and the fast disabled access pass then we still had to wait 20 minutes and that was just to get into the area that you wait for the next ride if they had asked us when we had approached that queue in terms of our card then they had would’ve had enough time to ask somebody to go and get it they didn’t do that and then once they let us in then they start saying that we have to leave the area to let other people ride because they haven’t asked us for it As opposed to let us in the area and then now tell us to leave like we’ve done something wrong when we are genuinely a party with a disabled child who has an access who isn’t abusing waiting times and they just ruined our whole experience. Then I had threatening managers and staff members that were just ignorant and belligerent, refused to understand and comprehend all they were doing was trying to at any cost claim we were wrong for not leaving the queue.

Go on a week's holiday for the same price!

I genuinely can’t believe how much we spent over £800 for what turned out to be a completely underwhelming and frustrating day. Between entry fees, fast passes, and parking, the price was nothing short of extortionate. And for what? A park that feels like it’s coasting off its former glory.

Several rides were closed with no clear explanation. Staff barely acknowledged fast passes so why bother selling them? The place looks tired, run-down, and honestly a bit sad. Peeling paint, closed concessions, and a general air of neglect.

And here’s a fun one: finding a hot drink felt like a mission from a dystopian survival game. When we finally tracked down a shop advertising hot chocolate, the staff said, “Sorry, no cups.” How does that even happen at a major theme park?

Oh, and of course ride photos are extra. Because after charging hundreds of pounds, you still want to squeeze a few more quid out of us.

Overall? It felt like a con. We left cold, caffeine-deprived, and seriously unimpressed. Won’t be back, and wouldn’t recommend.

Do not buy one shot fast track in advance as you will be paying more on top when you get there stayed at the shark hotel that was a mistake room was clean and comfortable but wet with condensation after shower as there are no windows and the condensation lasted all night till the morning

The choice of rides is excellent from…

The choice of rides is excellent from low key thrills to extreme. We liked how close together everything seemed so there wasn’t huge distances to walk between rides maximising our time on the rides. Queues for rides weren’t too bad on the day we went, staff were friendly and helpful. Food choice was fine and as expected, although it might be nice to have some healthy choices.
The only slight negatives were the queues to get through baggage check, the organisation and appearance of this section and the car park was a bit dishevelled. All of this was our first impression but thankfully once inside the amazing rides made up for it! We had a great day out!!

Too overcrowded, rides breaking down

Way too overcrowded! Had no choice but to buy fast track despite already paying Admission fee, 2 rides broke down after spending an hour in queues, must be sheer greed to allow that many people in because they know they will make more then on fast track, people jumping queues also, won't visit again, we were a family of 6 including 6 year old who was celebrating her birthday, very disappointing.
Queues were 60 to 70 mins long and that wasn't in term time.

Terrible experience with customer…

Terrible experience with customer service, tried to book 10 tickets for my child’s birthday. 1 through club card at checkout t charged me full price ! Then the further 9 using Kellogg vouchers 25 percent off 4 tickets they charged £700 ! Apparently technical issues but it is terrible as you then need to wait 10 days for a refund and no apology or acknowledgement of the distress their service causes and how difficult it is to book. They take your money but very unhelpful and rude to give it back without chasing. All emails I send bounce back to me stating their inbox is full. So so sad and unhappy. Asked to speak to manager was told no.

You ruin kids’ dreams

For weeks/months my daughter was excited to go to Thorpe Park.
It took 45 minutes to even get in and then the queues were so long that they hardly got on any rides - she was soooooo disappointed and I am mad with you Thorpe Park for ruining a kid’s dreams.

You know you are trying to cram too many people in for profit.

Ease of ordering and website all…

Ease of ordering and website all fantastic, car parking close and easy, the problem starts at entrance, awful Que time to have bags searched, ticket scanning after with ease.
Pretty sure every school in England had a school trip today, hundreds of unsupervised children, so many buses I think there was too many , Que times 80 minutes plus, rides shutting all over the place, so far been here 4.5 hrs and achieved 3rides, thinking of just going home but as 3 hour journey the ticket price for family of four does not justify 3 rides! no ques in toilets which is great this is my first and last visit , I’d suggest visits booked in off peak esp in July as I’d expect this is when schools visit , food over priced as usual in theme parks , a much look forward to experience, ruined

We travelled for four hours, bought the fast track pass for the roller coasters - to find most of them were closed. We managed only 2 rides in exchange for £200 tickets. Plus travel. shocking

I had a great experience

I had a great experience. I have a friend who has a medical disability, and on Saw we were supported very well by a worker who I think is called AJ. He was very helpful and kind and was very generous in what he did. I would even go as far to say that he deserves a raise, definitely the best worker there.

So much is wrong!!

There are a number of reasons Thorpe Park have so many 1 star reviews and yet they do absolutely nothing to attempt to improve. Firstly, the park is closed for 5 months of the winter, this would be a perfect opportunity for some much needed maintenence.....A bit of fence paint and grafitti and gum removal would be a start, the same grafitti has in parts for nearly 3 years. When you charge for an experience there is an obligation to deliver that experience and if more than 50% of that experience is undeliverable then redunds must be offered or reduced entrance offered to compensate. Thigs go wrong, rides need to be safe but when members of staff are admitting to the public that the ride closures are due to staff levels and having to run at limited capacity due to sheer numbers overflowing from the queue lines, this is down to sheer greed from the park. 15,000 people is too many. Set a safe limit and then stop selling tickets, everyone would have a better time, queue lines would be tolerable, staff wouldn't get the abuse that they do and you wouldn't keep getting 1 star reviews. Park opened at 10am, plenty of time beforehand to test rides but Saw, Hyperia, Nemesis Inferno and Stealth all delayed until past 11am and Colossus closed, causing mayhem in the remaining few remaining rides that were open. The staff are too inexperienced to deal with complaints and will willingly allow queue jumping, smoking in queues and climbing over barriers rather than challenge the behaviour. The security also do nothing, sure they are happy to puff their chests out in an attempt to look tough buy when they are needed they look the other way. On 3 seperate occasions there were incidents in queues and the QR incident code on the signs in the quere were scanned but never was any staff presence visible. The park simply allows too many people in. It is a small park and and the max capacity of 15,000 guests is far far too many, almost dangerously too many. 15,000 for Alton towers given the size of it's park would be almost forgiveable but for Thorpe Park it is almost impossible to comfortably navigate the park with the sheer number of people and the queues overflow on to the walkways causing chaos. 8000-10,000 people at the absolute max would be forgiveable but greed will not allow this.

Fast Track......For an extra £200 each you could enjoy unlimited Fast Track, but on maximum capacity days the queues are still over an hour in the Fast Track line, please save your money. Don't become a victim of the Fast Track scam when you have already forked out over £50 a ticket and should be able to enjoy the attractions without the need to feel you need to remortgage your house to ride a rollercoaster.

£12 to park....Really??? And to park on tire destroying gravel!! More greed!! Merlin are a sham of a company ran by a need to get richer at the compromise of safety and security of it's customers with little to no control in the parks that are ran and supervised by school leavers and summer job hunters who think it'll be cool to work at a Theme Park but have absolutely zero control over the people that decide to set their own rules on the day.....And Thorpe Park claims that it prides itself on being a safe space. Try telling that to the man we saw in the queue to Hyperia who challenged a woman gor allowing her kids to jump over 2 barriers in in front of people who had already been queing an hour. Having an entire family threatening you for challenging what's right is not right and you allow this, your staff allow this.

1.8 stars.....This is shameful. Supposedly the best Theme Park in the UK and 1.8 stars. But even at 1.8 stars they are laughing all the way to the bank. Well I hope they enjoy it while it lasts because a storm is coming in the way of another park that will show them how it's done safely, properly and with maximum satisfaction from it's customers.

customer services couldnt help me with my charging bank that wasn’t working. I spent an hour and a half sorting it out to not get my money taken, just to not get my deposit back despite returning it back after 1hour

My vehicle is registered at Thorpe…

My vehicle is registered at Thorpe Park, I drive in the other day and used the facility I was charged for £4.80 on my card although I never purchased anything. Instead of such a big company apologising and giving me the £4.80 back they have kicked up a fuss. Be aware Buying Merlin annual passes and Thorpe Park tickets all seems a scam

Rides Breaking Ruined Day of Family of 5

My family of 5 attended Thorpe Park on Saturday 31/05/2025. Multiple rides broken down, no communication from staff, was in park for 3 1/2 hours and didn't get on a single ride. We just wanted to go home but after approaching guest services was told that no one on site can do a refund. We left early having raised a complaint with customer services, sadly customer services keep offering "62% off gate tickets", which are were only £2.50 cheaper than our advanced tickets. Thorpe Parks answer to the worst day at a theme park ever is to try and get another £125 out of me. I will never be going to Merlin theme parks again!

Terrible customer service. Car park damage

This was my 2nd time visiting Thorpe park this year.
On my first occasion I had to highlight some concerns with behaviour of other guests and staff and was offered discounted tickets to return. I returned and had a great day in the park itself.

However upon leaving the car park, I heard a stone in my tyre. I naturally assumed it was just in the tread of the tyre and would dislodge as I drove off. A mile or so down the road my tyre was completely flat and the stone that I thought was in my tread, had actually pierced the tyre completely. Being 100 miles from home I had no option but to pay £260 for a new tyre in order to get home.
I emailed through to customer services in the hope that we could sort something out. I proved that the stone was from their car park, issued pictures of the stone which was the sharpest stone I’d ever seen and asked what could be done. Initially I was told that the park only accepted damage caused by the park or their staff. When I provided the evidence of it being the park as the car park is gravel, the next person advised that they took no responsibility and I would have had to speak to staff. I explained why I didn’t speak to staff but in checking the CCTV you would see me stop to hear the stone.
I was met with the least customer service response I’ve ever received. No offer of compensation, no apology, nothing.

Having had issues twice on my visits, I don’t think I would recommend the park to anyone and would urge you to take caution on where you park, especially given that you pay for the car park on site.
