Buying new gear, no problems at all...
Having read the reviews here before I placed my order I was weiry dealing with them, but I think a lot of these negative reviews relate to their second hand gear sales and I was purchasing a brand new item, so I went ahead and placed my order.
My experience with them is 100% positive, I got updated as my order progressed, I received shipping details and updates, I got emailed if everything was ok with my order and I also got emailed to review my experience shopping with them. My order arrived quickly and was in perfect brand new condition and I was kept informed by them, so I would definitely use them again. I can't comment on how their customer service is if I had a problem, but the same goes for 99% of my other online purchases.

Received a carp shelter and one of the poles was broke, tried to contact customer service and they initially responded saying they would help but when I wrote back after that they just started to ignore me and wouldn't replace the broken item.

Disappointed first order from Tackle…
Placed my first order from Tackle Tavern for a JRC fishing chair. (Early morning) Advertised free next day delivery due to order being over £30.
Paid additional £4.95 for guaranteed next day delivery.
No chair arrived.
Message from DHL confirming collection on the 4th Sept and expected delivery on the 6th.
Couldn't get any reply from Tackle Tavern main office (e.mail) and shop wouldn't help either. Had to change my planned fishing trip due to no arrival of chair. Don't think I'll be using them again.
I've requested a refund of my priority delivery cost - watch this space!!

The first time I have ordered from the Tackle Tavern.
I always get nervous with a new seller on the web so I rang and spoke to the team. Really welcoming and helpful, they provided me the reassurance that I needed.
The Bivvy and extension arrived, as promised, the next day, there was a short delay on the day with the carrier but the Tackle Tavern reassured me and could look at the tracking from their end. All good, Price, People and Delivery.
BAD EXPERIENCE WITH PURCHASE!
I ordered a pre-loved seat box for £100, the order was confirmed by TC & money taken from my account. I even had an email from the delivery company DHL regarding the delivery. On this basis I ordered accessories to go on the box, from another supplier, costing £45.
Later the same day, I was contacted by Tackle Tavern to say the box was no longer available - they did not offer to provide me with a replacement, only a sorry, but you'll have to pay the extra to get one from elsewhere, or return the accessories to the other seller (at my postage cost of course).
Avoid this company, rubbish customer care!!!!

Our order was not correct, not what we asked for, and not what they advertised. Zero customer service, zero understanding.
I see lots of positive reviews, but it appears every time something goes wrong the reviews are negative, which proves they have no care about customer service

First order with the company took weeks to arrive while they blamed the couriers and the couriers denied receiving it. Half the order finally turned up and I had to chase them for the remaining items which arrived a week later and were still missing an item. I’ve given up chasing them now and won’t be buying from them again.

Advertise next day delivery but this is my second order and is already 3 days overdue with no update from the courier. Will pay a little more from another shop in future and get the items on time.
Such a terrible company with no respect…
Tackle tavern completely ignore customers. My order has not been received they claimed it was delivered, the Courier lied stating I signed for the item when I wasn't even there, then aoparently the parcel was left on my doorstep, then 5 weeks later the courier has sent me an email stating the parcel is on its way. I tried to take this up with with Tackle Tavern who have pretty much told me to take it up with the Courier, and are completely ignoring me since. It appears I am not the first customer that has gone through this, I have already spoken to one who left a similar review on Facebook and another who left a similar review on here. If you look up their reviews you will see for yourself this happens often and what they do in these circumstances is completely ignore and do not do anything about it. You will also see in all of these circumstances they never even respond to the review either. All the while making subtle insinuations that the parcel is in my possession. They keep the money you don't get your item but are expected to swallow it. They have now not responded to me for nearly a month but when I put the tracking on the the email I sent them they opened it within 15 minutes. I wish I had read all of the negative reviews before I placed an order with them, you have been warned!
