I placed my order before reading the reviews as the product was just perfect for our scheme. Having read the reviews i was definitely concerned, so i contacted customer services and was reassured by Kirstin, the product was in stock , in the UK and could be delivered within 2 weeks. In fairness i was still worried. However i should not have been. I was kept fully informed of progress with updates and tracking information and as promised the whole product arrived within the 2 week timescale. Yes parts of the item were made in China but so are many high street products. Our light is amazing a real statement piece. We love it. The customer service we received was exemplary. Our experience has been so different to some described in the negative reviews which caused us so much concern .
Please do not let them put you off using this website and company. If you are concerned communicate with the customer service team they are very quick to respond and more than happy to help. Best of all our light is just superb.

I ordered 2 ceiling lights for my kitchen. The price was really competitive compared to other sellers and the lights are lovely quality.

The courier company had some issues with delivery and the team at The House Lights couldn’t have been more helpful and courteous; their customer service is exemplary.

I ordered x 2 8 bulb mid century modern opal white glass chandeliers.
The service was quick and product arrived intact.

The lights look lovely they compliment the room perfectly.
The staff answered my queries in a timely manner and were helpful ( I needed to know what bulbs etc to order) .

This company masquerades as being based in the UK, when in fact they are China based.

Do read reviews from others about the web site serving as a slick cover for cheap products shipped from China. Also note in the small print that ALL lights purchased need to be wired - even those that come plugged. My simple plugged wall light arrived in several pieces, and when prompted I was told it needs “a simple wire connection.” If I am to return the light I now need to pay for shipping. I really was trying to find a reputable retailer and I’m so angry that, like other reviewers, I fell for this! Will add photos if I’m able.

The lighting we ordered had two faulty connections, however I reached out to customer service who very promptly helped us diagnose the issue and get replacement parts sent out to us.

The website looks very professional with high quality photographs and luxury displayed products. I ordered 2 flush light fittings which were circa £250. I expected them to be high quality, nicely packaged and UK sourced at this price. They arrived direct from China after a fairly long delivery time and were terrible quality. Flimsy and worth nothing near the RRP.

The customer service and communication was good after and I got a full refund but not before I was offered 50% off to keep them and then to destroy them for a full refund. I was also told return shipping costs are normally at the customers cost (which to China would be astronomical). Not sustainable at all and clearly a sign that this is a Chinese drop shipping business with a very clever front. Beware! Yes, this info is in the terms and conditions if you look closely but I felt duped by the fancy website and apparent UK business address

The after sales service was excellent. They went above and beyond to get my lights delivered despite a challenge with back orders at the factory. The communication was quick and clear and they were very helpful and understanding. Massive thanks for the great service to get the lights in time for my house renovation m!
