STAY AWAY!
I wrote this review on Care Credit's review page, but I am posting it here because everyone deserves to know to stay away from these companies. I used to have an account with these people, I used it for vet bills as well as dental expenses. I had this account for a while and was very up to date on payments. I never missed a payment. Suddenly, two years ago, I found out I no longer have access to credit. I spoke to someone to try and figure this out, I tell them I've never missed a payment and they told me that because I turned auto pay off, they took my credit away. This is absolutely BS. What does auto pay have to do with keeping a line of credit? Anyway, I continue to make payments, with auto pay on to not cause any issues. Suddenly the payments stop. I went to my account to sign in and naturally I forgot my password. I click "forgot password" and it takes me to a different screen, where I'm prompted to put in my account number, now I don't have this memorized, so I go to the chat bot and try to speak my concerns there. The chat bot doesn't work and no matter how many sentences I put in. The same message pops up "oops looks like my wires got crossed. What to try that again?" This company is very disappointing. As well as their partner Synchrony who is just as disappointing. If you wish to open a line of credit, save yourself the grief and go to literally anyone else.
Worst experience ever in my life
Worst experience ever in my life! I get scammed . Even though paid everything, still charged me interest for over 9 days .
Credit Should Be Based on Payment History!!!
I thought this was the 1 company I could count on for credit especially in this current difficult season in my life. I had several accounts with you. None of my are or were delinquent; however, I went to use my Lowe's account which had a zero balance, only to find my account was closed! Every time I've used the Lowe's account card, it was bad off in 30 days or before.
There's no loyalty to customers who pay on time with every account I have open with this creditor. The economy is tough at the moment.
I called to ask them to reopen my account, which I had paid off and they all said no. Credit is not based upon credit payment history. Well, it should be!!!
Absolutely pathetic
Absolutely pathetic. This co.pany reduced your credit fast if you dont pay it quickly compared to others. They truly dont care that they effect the credit ratio of many when they reduce your credit and you can go from a 30% credit ratio to a 90 credit ratio and boom the credit bureaus lower your credit score when you truly were doing a great job. Especially when holiday have just ended spring break. I have a credit limt for over 2yrs 1300 then I used almost 1000 and paid it off in 2 months which is actually great but then I went to store and was denied only to find out later o ce they got my money they reduced to only 10 available and now my credit score went down due to synchrony
Never, Ever Deal With Them!
Terrible customer service from condescending reps, a puzzle piece of options to get from under predatory terms. Rapacious greed appears to be their standard business model. I will tell every person I encounter for as long as I live to never, ever deal with this place!
Synchrony Bank took action to close my seven accounts in good standing based upon poor judgement and data that is at odds with my excellent account management and credit histroy.
I have been an excellent cardholder with a 100 percent perfect payment record with Synchrony bank for many years. I managed my credit cards carefully and ensured that all my accounts were in good standing. And for my excellent history of proper and diligent stewardship of my accounts, Synchrony Bank arbitrarily closed all seven of my accounts through use of a vague and nebulous algorism system that claimed I was a high risk for payment failure. While I have issued complaints with the CFPB and BBB about this wrongful action, Synchrony Bank has refused to reinstate my accounts even in the face of overwhelming evidence that I was not a risk of payment failure before, during, and after the adverse action was taken against me. Synchrony Bank states that its policy is to not reopen closed accounts under any circumstances and even when they have been faced with evidence that shows actions to close my accounts were wrong and at odds with my excellent history as a loyal and judicious cardholder. My experience with Synchrony bank has not been good and I have rated the Bank with one star which they richly deserve. Synchrony bank treated me with disregard and indifference and until they show that they are an accountholder friendly and transparent Bank, they will continue to get unfavorable reviews and a loss of accountholders.
Customer Service is a ZERO
This system is worthless, Their customer service is horrible! Try doing a chat and you get a bot, when you finally get a person they are useless.
Worst bank in the world don't get a…
Worst bank in the world don't get a credit cards from them they like destroying peoples credit! !!! I had 6 different cards long time history always paid on time & paid off and they suddenly decreased my credit limits to all balances owed and decreased my credit limits by approximately 40,000 on cards such as Lowes , Venmo, JC Penney , Amazon , Care credit. This bank should not be allowed to be in business!!!!!
Terrible experience with…
Terrible experience with Synchrony/PayPal Credit. I was told to submit my Social Security documents and driver’s license so they could update my account information. Instead of updating it, they closed my long-standing account with a credit line of over $9,000.
The letter they sent gave no real explanation, only a vague statement that they could not validate my SSN with the Social Security Administration. That is not a proper explanation, especially after I provided the documents they specifically asked for. If there was an issue, they should have clearly explained it and allowed me to correct it instead of immediately closing the account.
Very unfair treatment for a customer who had the account for years. No transparency, no accountability, and no solution other than telling me to apply again. Completely unacceptable.
Synchrony Bank uses deceptive business…
Synchrony Bank uses deceptive business practices, they lower min payments on deferred interest loans and they do not send out advance notice of interest charges, even when you are signed up for notifications. They are the worst to deal with and show no care for their customers. I will NEVER do business with any merchant that uses Synchrony Bank ever again! As someone who always pays their debt, has an excellent credit rating, they got me and I did not catch it! Shame on me, my fault here, but other banks give you a "heads up" via emails (and not just small print on a statement). Those are the banks who actually care about the consumer!
This bank is the worst to deal with all-around!
This bank is the worst to deal with all-around! They nickel and dime you for everything, from paper statements to interest charges that are not explained.
I wish I could give them no stars!
I wish I could give them no stars!! Worse bank on the planet!! Had a pretty high available balance for credit.. almost paid off.. reduced my available credit by more than half! Instead of $1.237.67 in available credit with a balance of $511. I now have a credit limit of $611 with an available balance of $18.
These people are terrible
These people are terrible. Granted due to some financial issues I fell behind on some of my accounts with this company. But I did remain current on most of my accounts and had little or no balance on accounts. Then out of the blue and no notice they closed my current accounts. Once I recover from my issues I will never do business with them again and do not recommend any products they offer
I had an overpayment on my account…
I had an overpayment on my account thinking I would get a refund check, but I was charged interest on the overpayment, the account was paid in full 10 days before my due date, this company is GREEDY!!!!
Unknown charges
I pay off my balance every month on time. I recently went out of town and racked up my charges. However, I noticed a $2 charge I did not make. I called and the agent spoke to me like I was a child! I complained and she insisted on speaking over me and never offered to remove the charge! I don’t care if it’s .50, I should NEVER have to pay for a charge I didn’t make!!!! I had to call back to speak to a supervisor that removed the charge! Customer service is key!!!
Im a great customer never late
Im a great customer never late, have two cards, one care credit and one tj max. Both of these cards they reduced my credit limit, just like that. Three months later I get a notice they closed my account from a one month lower credit score because I had high usage on my other cards but never late. They didn't check again in a week where I paid off all my credit cards including their's and my score went up tremendously. They do not think twice in what they do. I will never do business them again.
Every synchrony account i have is…
Every synchrony account i have is either reducing my credit limits or closing accounts due to reporting agencies. My situation is almost identical to when the accounts where opened. And I pay more than the minimum payment. I did have about 3 late payments by 1-3 days over the course of about 4 years but never fully skipped a payment and paid the punishment fees. This bank is a joke and should just shut down.
Get syncrony before they get you.
I had a balance on my credit cards and once I fully paid off the balance of $3000 or so, they immediately reduced my credit limit to $110 on my PayPal credit card. My Verizon card had the same thing happen. I paid them off the same day and then that account was reduced to $200 after it took 8 days for the payment to clear. I was wondering what was going on and they told me it was my bank that was taking so long. Then they basically closed my account. I recommend using a debt consolidation plan with Syncrony because they essentially closed my account anyway. I could have saved money if I had went delinquent and cut a deal to pay it off through another company. In both cases the account will be closed but with a debt consolidation plan I would have not had to pay the full balance.
Worst company EVER
They gave me like a $2000 line of credit. I used like $1500. Then within 6 months paid it off completely. The day I paid it off, BAM $100 limit! I was MAD! I kept the card. I have had it for like 10 years. Slowly they bumped me up to like $300. Then suddenly last year $3000. Now mind you, my credit was high 600 range. I ran into some medical issues and only used that card to track it. Used about $1650. Yesterday I paid them off. BAM again! $100 limit and told me they had sent me a letter that they were going to do that. Because I contacted them and told them they were a terrible company! Liars too! The letter showed up in my email right after I contacted them! I saved it! I am reporting them to BBB!
card never arrived
card never arrived, getting to talk to rep is like trying tp a god. it just does not happen
