We’ve now used Surrey Surveyors twice, and both experiences have been excellent.

The first time, their survey quite literally saved us from making a huge mistake. What initially seemed like a great house turned out to have a number of serious hidden issues that we would never have spotted ourselves. The report was thorough, clear, and honest, and it gave us the confidence to walk away from what would have likely been a very stressful and costly situation.

When we found another property, we didn’t hesitate to use them again. Once more, the survey was detailed, easy to understand. They took the time to explain key points and were happy to answer our questions, which made the whole process feel much less daunting.

Oliver went above and beyond to help us with a Level 3 survey on a large and significant purchase. The house in question is complex, with a lot of issues to unpick. He took time in advance to take our briefing and questions. Immediately post survey he gave us a debrief. He then gave us a separate specific debrief to allow us to know what questions ask a roofing contractor on complex roof issues. On top of this we were given a full 60 minute debrief of the entire property going over every photo that showed follow-up needed. Finally, he arranged the services of a Structural Engineer to provide further advice. Exceptional service. Would recommend without hesitation.

My son was buying a flat and needed a survey before proceeding with the purchase as it was a conversion property. I found Surrey Surveyors on the RICS website and contacted them and some other firms too.

From the beginning, Oliver was helpful, responsive and understanding of the specific issues we needed investigating.

When we received the report it was thorough, clearly written and addressed the specific issues that we had flagged up. Oliver was responsive when I called him to ask a couple of questions, despite the fact he was in between meetings.

Unfortunately, the survey uncovered some issues that we had not identified and my son withdrew from the purchase.

We recently used Ollie at Surrey Surveyors for a Level 3 survey on the house we were buying. His report was so thorough, with plenty of pictures to help illustrate points throughout. We also had a follow up call which was very useful as we were able to go through any questions we had and also ask for his recommendations for follow ups to the survey such as further structural engineer and roofing inspections. We found his price to be very competitive, especially considering the level of detail the report goes into. Highly recommend.

Oliver and his team were on hand to give us a more detailed picture and understanding of the property we were buying. Upon closer inspection of our detailed report we found there to be a number of large issues that to the untrained eye we had missed. With illustrations to reinforce what the report said. As first time buyers this was something that we found to be very useful, giving us the clarity we needed to make an informed decision. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the work that was required would consideranly exceed our budget and therefore made our decision to pull out. As a good will gesture, we elected to share this information/report with the vendor to perhaps rectify the issues for a potential future buyer. Unfortunately, the vendor has now left a poor review on Surrey Surveyors Trustpilot. Which I feel is unfair and should be disregarded (Harry 2*) I will definitely be using Surrey Surveyor in the future once we find our next home. Thank you Oliver and team

I had a level 2 survey done. There was a lot of information and a lot of assumptions made on the property. A lot of unanswered questions. The report stated the property had a mold and damp problem but when you actually read the report in detail, no damp or mold was detailed or noted where this was found. Lots of pictures, which was great, non showing any mold though, even thought the report stated it. Lots of mixed messaged from the report. Phoned up 3 times to get some help and get some more information but I was told I would get a call back and never did.
With regards to the reply below. No one had ever told me they wouldn't be able to discuss this matter. It's just common courtesy to phone someone back, even if it's just to let them know this.

We had a tried trusted surveyor lined up who became ill and unable to complete our survey. As such, I did my research and was recommended Oliver Fletcher. He performed a Level 3 survey for our house purchase and I was so impressed. The communication from the start was efficient and the survey itself was thorough and detailed. Oliver and his team took the time to do a thorough pre-report briefing (on a weekend) and have gone above and beyond for us following the report. The T&Cs were also standard and no cause for concern. I would thoroughly recommend Oliver and his team to others.
