The matinance guys are great, Dale has been round so often and is always lovly and as helpfull as possible even when hes not been given the tools to fix the problem.
Theres also ant and mark who are always a huge help when they come round

Stay as far away from student cribs as possible, I lived in one of their leeds houses for a 2nd year student tenancy. They conduct inspections with 0 notice and illegally look through your belongings when you are away, going through your drawers and under your bed looking for anything. During winter our boiler stopped working and was left with no heating or warm water for 3 weeks in -1 degree weather, we all had to go out and buy heaters for our rooms as student cribs refused to fix the boiler for 2 weeks until we threatened to take them to court for negligence. They don’t respond to maintenance requests on their portal as they seem to just not care. They call themselves student cribs yet are not student friendly whatsoever. STAY WELL AWAY

Mike H who works for maintenance in the Liverpool area really helped me out with unresolved issues I’ve had with my room. He sorted everything instantly. From the beginning of moving in, in September my blind had broken, I put in various requests for it to be fixed but nothing was done. Mentioned it to Mike today and he’s already ordered me a new blind that can be fitted in a week. He’s amazing.

Absolutely awful, do not live with them ever. Water is pouring through our ceiling and both of our showers have stopped working, we now have to working shower. They have refused to come out because it is not ‘life threatening’ - a reoccurring theme. No wifi after 5 months, our whole house is extremely stressed. We cannot do any university work and we are in our final year, the call team are extremely dismissive as well as the maintenance team. I could go on but just do not go with them, for your own mental sanity.

Do not use this housing company. I live in one of the Liverpool student houses and have requested a new front door key 4 times now within the past 2 weeks. I’m yet to have any news about getting a new one. I also had a phone call with them and they said they will log it on the system and I’ll get an email. I got neither.

Both Raymond and Jack, got back to me promptly with information. They were understanding and things were sorted immediately with their responses, which I greatly appreciate!

Great maintenance

Agreed a contract and paid a retainer. Then get sent a new contract with no explanation as to what had changed and a deadline to respond. Emailed them twice without response and can't get through on the phone. Disappointed with very poor communication. Would not recommend using.

Steve is an amazing guy that has managed to solve our flat’s issue multiple times. I admire his steadfastness and dedication to his craft of being a problem solver, moving on to his next job after ending with a cheerful ‘alright bye!’ Amazing and professional!

Overall a good experience

I would strongly caution anyone considering renting from Student Cribs based on my experience.

I lived in one of their properties with three other young women, and throughout our tenancy we experienced repeated breaches of privacy, safety, and quiet enjoyment. Contractors and staff entered the flat without proper notice, sometimes while none of us were home. On multiple occasions, workers used our bathroom and kitchen appliances, and work was carried out while the property was left unlocked, including during a weekend when we were away.

There was constant construction noise, dust, and disruption over an extended period. Windows were incomplete for months, the living room TV was broken for over a month, and we were not informed that replacement windows would be non-opening fire windows.

We raised these concerns multiple times over the course of our tenancy, both directly and through the maintenance reporting portal. Many issues went unaddressed for months, with little to no communication or follow-up. Problems would be marked as reported but not resolved, leaving us living with broken or incomplete facilities for extended periods. This ongoing lack of response made it feel as though our concerns were consistently overlooked or deprioritised.

Hygiene and safety were also serious issues, with bathrooms left unsanitary and even blood found in shared living spaces, which was extremely distressing and made us feel unsafe in our own home.

If you value privacy, safety, timely maintenance, and clear communication, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Staffing team are very helpful and friendly which made everything easier. Taylor and Ania assisted me through the whole process thanks to them.

We have been having Wifi issues with the booster since we moved in July. This time when we made a complaint with student cribs it was as taking a while . But today after we made a call to follow up on request, Krizia from student cribs got in touch and was very friendly and kind in listening to what the complaint was and trying to sort out our issue. She also watched some clips on YouTube to help understand on what she can do and virtually assist me and was finally able to get our booster working after week of complaint been made.

Steve Pritchard built a stair ramp today. A very good work and a very kind and helpful person.
