I lived in a student crib house from July 2025-july2026, it was a terrible living experience. When we moved in the house was no where near as clean as it should be, it smelled like dampness everywhere and just overall run-down. All 6 of the bedrooms had a mould problem, my room specifically was the worst, I had to throw away multiple pairs of shoes and bags as they were covered in green and black mould. Student Cribs offered to pay for them to be dry cleaned and they never got back to me. Instead of actually fixing the mould problem they just sent maintenance to paint over it. Which of course did not stop it from coming back. The house was meant to be painted before we moved in which was not completed also. It would take the company sometimes a month to come and fix any maintenance we reported. Overall I would never chose to live in a student cribs house again.

Just a generally decent company to get a student house.

I booked a joint tenancy with Student Cribs for Flat 5, 29 Trewhitt Road, Newcastle with my girlfriend for the 2026/27 year. In early June I told them I was leaving university and emailed to be removed from the tenancy, then received a phone call where I was told I would be taken off the contract and my girlfriend would stay, with no mention of any new contract, rent change or two month notice requirement. After this, the flat was put back on the market, my girlfriend received viewing notifications, and she was first quoted a solo monthly rent of 1,018.33 before being told later, after she queried it, that the payment would be 1,040 with a different contract. When we sent written notice to end the tenancy, Student Cribs replied that it is a group Assured Periodic Tenancy where two months’ notice can only be served from the start date of 3 July 2026 and that any notice ends the tenancy for all named tenants, which means they still treat me as liable despite having previously confirmed my removal. The mix of verbal promises, written confirmation that I was removed, re marketing of the property, and increased rent offers has created a confusing and stressful situation, and based on this experience I would not recommend Student Cribs to other students.

Amazing experience with student cribs. Fast service and such friendly people always making us feel comfortable and getting jobs done to the best standards !

Very convenient locations and easy access accessible shops

Student cribs Has been great this past year. Mike and John have been amazing and have made sure that the house is well looked after. They’ve always been quick to respond and helpful with any problems we have had. Would highly recommend!

We’ve been staying in our Manchester property for two years now and the maintenance team have been amazing! Mike P has always been so kind and friendly, helping us out with any issues we have on the property as soon as possible. Can’t thank him enough for how much of a great guy he’s been to have around!!

Really poor maintenance team and customer service. No oven for 12 days and now installed so dishwasher cannot be accessed. Fire alarm system not fit for purpose and going off throughout the night. Avoid. Avoid. Profiteering from students just trying to live their lives!

To be honest I enjoyed my staying in Cribs. They are fast in attending to issues. No stress at all. Infact I was given a huge referral bonus.

I had a positive experience with Student Cribs. The property was well-maintained, and the team was responsive and helpful whenever issues arose. The renting process was straightforward, and communication was generally clear throughout my tenancy. Overall, a good option for student accommodation in Stoke-on-Trent.

Mike and John are amazing at helping with our student house in liverpool. They made sure issues could be fixed quickly and also would look for other things they could sort or get for us when they visited. Lovely people too.

Very lovely house. The maintenance lads were great too. Always helping out when we needed it.

The maintenance man, Gavin Coles was always very friendly and helpful whenever we saw him. And the houses are all spacious with a big enough kitchen for all 7 people to fit comfortably.

I was locked out of my room and Steve came promptly and helped me out massively! He was so lovely
