All the staff at Student Cribs is highly responsive, trained and thoroughly competent unlike my experience with other large third party lease companies that I have dealt with in the past 2 years who are just selling inventory for large Uni style properties. I would go out of my way to find a property that they lease or manage. A real professional property management company. Well done!

Absolutely awful. The worst scammers I’ve dealt with. Firstly, every single one of us was scammed out of a portion of our cash back, with myself and the two i booked with losing £200 each (they said on the phone we’d get 300 each and then said prove it when we asked). The guy who promised us 300 each on the phone was called Tom/Thomas and his surname started with L so be very wary about him. We then were routinely left without maintenance for far longer than we should’ve although I will say the maintenance people were always very nice when they did eventually arrive. Also, we were told the garden would be accessible through a side gate which was locked by the council and for which a key was unattainable despite trying. Communications were generally pretty poor. I’d recommend anywhere else over student cribs, despite the fact our house was in a great location it was a constant nightmare waiting for maintenance and constantly having to make calls to get our cash back we were guaranteed over the phone. Just go somewhere else, there’s a reason our student house still wasn’t booked in April for a July move in date. Of course they also charged insane fees (£40+) for key replacements etc but that’s to be expected so I won’t criticise that as it seems like that’s just standard practice with landlords unfortunately. Finally, this wasn’t just a problem with the manager of our house in particular, my friend’s girlfriend was also scammed out of £100 cash back, it’s an institutional scam that anyone should avoid.

Very easy move in and helpful staff. Some teething issues with the cleanliness and wifi but nothing major

I did not rent with this company, however I booked multiple viewings.
Staff were rude and no-showed virtual bookings whilst failing to give adequate directions to the property for face to face viewings.
On one occasion a property manager changed the time of my viewing without my consent.
The bookings appear to be made from a centralised system and there is a lack of communication between departments.
I stated I was interested in renting the property despite being unable to even view and they sent multiple emails explaining how to pay. I said I would not do so until my complaint was dealt with.
They then stopped responding.
I question how they treat legitimate tenants if this is how they treat prospective tenants.
As Shane McMahon said, it's all about the 'money money money money money money money money money' to them.

Nathan Miller came to do maintenance at our house after we saw him doing maintenance on another student cribs house. He was very friendly and efficient. Fixed multiple of our issues on the day and returned the next day to fix more. Helped us report another problem for him to return later on as well. Highly recommend :)

Moved into property recently - cleaning has not been done properly. food debris underneath fridge and cupboards in kitchen with an infestation of flies as a result. Garden is completely overgrown. Previously reported maintenance issues such as broken shower rail have not been fixed. Walls are extensively marked and in need of clean.

Nathan Miller came to fix a lightbulb and resilicone the bathrooms. Very professional and effective service

Nathan miller was really helpful, he helped us straight away and gave us advice for other issues that weren’t maintenances job to fix, and was also very friendly and happy to help

We asked Nathan Miller for help with a couple maintenance issues after spotting him working on another student cribs house next door, he immediately came to help and fixed all our issues within minutes!! He was super friendly and helpful and even gave us some advice for fixing our wifi :)

Harry and David painted my door and did a good job of it

No proper maintenance service and lack of professionalism. They dont pick up the phone when you call for an emergency and doesn't care about fixing the property at all. They try to charge for things for property damages done by previous tenants. Overall their management is really poor.

Definitely steer clear of this company. I rented with student cribs from September 2024 onwards and I’ve had nothing but stress ever since. Firstly, they ask for a huge fee before you even move in. I decided that I was dropping out of university in November last year and informed them that I’d like to move out, in which they let me know that to properly be free from any fees I’d have to find a replacement tenant.
I had no problem in doing this, but they leave it all up to you instead of offering any support or help in finding someone else. I tirelessly advertised the room on different facebook groups, student accommodation websites and room for rent sites and was unsuccessful in finding someone else.
Long story short, I’ve had to pay rent for the past 9 months for a house that I don’t even live in. Their customer service is shocking, they show no regard for your individual circumstances and each email has been a pre written corporate response. Clearly no regard for the customer whatsoever, they just want their money.
They set up a payment plan for me to ensure that all the rent would be paid by the end of my tenancy, and because I work part time, cash in hand (so under minimum wage), I have been unable to meet the last two payments on time but have eventually made the payments, so they know for a fact they’ll get their money by the end of my tenancy but they keep hounding me with threats of debt collection procedures etc.

Clearly just a huge cash grab company who don’t give a single toss about their customers, all for a house that was full of mould and old, dirty equipment.
