Being able to see our dogs from the house on our 10 acres thats partially fenced with trees has been so awesome! Sometimes it takes a little bit to pick up the signal when they are in the trees and it is delayed on their location but for the most part has been a game changer for us.

I was not sure we could have our 15 mo old Brittany off leash in our yard. He is very prey driven and we live next to a state park with lots of deer. I followed the training program exactly and gave us even more time at each stage. The scary part was using distraction. We did have him break through and reset correction. It seemed SpotOn also had a good handle of where we were. I appreciated the comments and relooking at the training plan. The time to train and watch and get comfortable worked. I'm SOOOOO happy with it. Cooper stays in his yard and is able to run free off of a leash. Of all the collars he hates, he knows this one gives him freedom. With it on, I no longer have to worry about him escaping out the door. We have had NO breakouts, but I do still keep a close eye on him. We live on a lake; he also gets to enjoy going in the water with the collar which is also a big plus. Thank you, worth every cent! Ellen

I love the collar for Quigley my Australian Shepherd. It really works well and keeps Quigley in his area, I live in Missouri Ozarks there is alot of trees here on my place and Spot On works! The Spot on collar lets Quigley roam around on 5 acres. I can track him from my app on my cell phone. Thanks again Spor On the collar has made my life easier and Quigley is safe.

The biggest limiting factor is the battery life. We get a day at best of battery life before the collars run out of power.
Not the greatest thing for a livestock guardian dog or any dog that works and lives in the NH interface.

The geofencing is easy to use and each collar can have its own geofence, which is really nice.

Any time I had issues customer service would do the best they could to help me. They are amazing. Quality of collar service is amazing. I live on 100acres where the collars function is vital. I wouldn't know what to do with out these collars. Made my life so much easier watching our farm animals

Customer service is great! But collar doesn’t hold a charge very well. Always being notified it’s low when charged all night.

Really liking it. Gives me peace of mind when our dog is outside. We upgraded to the tracking mode.
The only thing is there is sometimes a delay in commands when using the phone app to call or correct.
Love the ability to quickly change the fence parameters on the app.

Great idea, but I live deep in the woods and I have to know he can get back in if he runs through it. He is a hound dog breed and looses his mind when he gets on a trail!

I try to tell anyone who will listen what a game changer this was for my dog and I. If we go somewhere we set up a fence quick and I have no worries. It is everything advertised. Best part it is all super easy to use and adjust. Seconds. And the cost is less than you would think for all you get.

I am a grateful customer

We purchased a SpotOn collar for our 5 month old Basset Hound puppy, honestly with low expectations, after returning several other GPS fence collars. Boy have we been surprised! The fence line accuracy is really "spot-on" and the warning zone alerts work great. Our little guy ran through the fence one time and never again! We love the mobility of it and being able to set up fences when we visit friends, etc.

I was initially thrilled with our SpotOn collars—they worked wonderfully early on. Then one day, I removed my dog’s collar and discovered that her neck, fur, and the inside of the collar were saturated with an odorless, oily substance. She also had several wounds on her neck.

I took her to the vet the next day. The vet described her injuries as significant and consistent with chemical burns. She required four medications daily for a month, and the veterinary bills were substantial.

We are now outside the 90-day return window and cannot return the collars, but we’re afraid to put them back on our dogs. What started as a product we loved has become a deeply upsetting experience, and we no longer feel confident using the collars safely.

I think it's a very great idea unfortunately my dog didn't care if he was being warned or anything else when training and proceeded to still go over to the neighbors.

Customer service continues to be the reason we use SpotOn. Tremendous team and support!

Well to be honest I have a goldendoodle and live on a busy street. As like many dogs they are curious if their surroundings. The problem was she wasn't coming when called and when I chases her it was worse. Thankfully the spot on collar to me has saved her life in many ways and helped me.

Worked okay for two years (once you got used to the battery life and “idiosyncrasies” of the app and the collar). When using it, you get the feeling that you’re paying iPhone money for a device that is Walmart Android quality. But you tell yourself it’s great cause you paid $1k for it.

After working fine for two years, my GPS started glitching without notifying me. Said my dog ran to Africa overnight (presumably shocking her) and allowed her to escape several times without warning her or notifying me.

I suspect the company will respond to this review talking about how GPS can have interference from clouds and cell phone service depends on location and blah blah blah. But my iPhone I’m using seems pretty darn reliable. We have the technology folks, but this level of reliable technology is not used in this thousand dollar dog collar.

I suspect that whatever GPS collar you buy will be a little fiddly, but if that is the case, my recommendation is to buy something more affordable. That way you won’t be burned as badly as I was.

Great customer service. The product is the best out there.

Josie took to the training very well. Did’t take more than a couple of days training on a long leash then went to a 50’ cord. Now she is off leash completely. Never had to use the static correction, the tones and vibration was all it took to train her. Thanks, great product. I will be sure to recommend to others.
